Nice beach condo

Easy access to the beach and the Sea Colony amenities. Comfortable and well-appointed. The owner has included all of the necessary kitchen utensils and devices one would want, and even beach chairs for the convenience of guests. Beach view on a protected deck. We ate every meal outside. Relaxing.

upon arrival and unfortunate experiences. There was a leak in the closet and based on the smelly, wet towels piled up, soaked wall and floor, and a bowl placed there it appears this issue was there for quite a while. In addition as I placed the sheet set provided on the top bunk mattress, there were stains all over the mattress cover and the blankets (top covers) were very dirty as well. I could not wash anything as I could not get the washer to work but regardless the washer was coated extensively with mildew and mold. Needless to say this experience was not worth the money and due to the conditions we left late last night back to our home as we didn’t want to stay a second night. I would appreciate a refund to accommodate for this horrible experience and would advise that you fix the issues and clean up all that I noted for other guest that may stay.

This condo was absolutely wonderful. It was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. Very comfortable place to stay. The patio had an beautiful view.

Exactly what we needed

We were there for a short Spring Break run to the beach. The unit is exactly as advertised: clean, well stocked and comfortable furniture. Excellent value. Not that we need them but I noticed they even had baby food spoons in the drawer.

Great beach access & view, bring supplies

The beach access and view were great. Minimal items were supplied so it was a disappointing start to the trip after traveling there. It also took over two hours of texting to get confirmation that additional supplies would be provided. I recommend bringing... Extra toilet paper, paper towels, tissues and napkins Soaps (small bars provided) Dishwasher soap (if staying more than a couple days) Laundry detergent (if needed) Bath towels and washcloths (minimal provided)

well-appointed beach condo

We had a nice relaxing weekend at Sea Colony and appreciated the nice living room furniture. The kitchen is a tad dated but functional and clean. I wish Sea Colony would give some kind of credit for renting beach chairs for weekend visitors that are not using other amenities like the tennis courts.

Island house

612 Island House was in a wonderful location and had easy access to everything needed for a fun beach vacation! We loved the beach and pool and both were in close walking distance. We loved the our deck and view of the ocean. The only complaints we had was that the master bedroom mattress was very hard and uncomfortable and there wasn’t enough seating in the living room. The condo itself could use a little updating. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay!

Good but excess fees

Place was great. Just disappointed that a $600 a night condo ended up costing me over $1700 total for 2 nights. Way too many fees for Sea Colony. And they won’t prorate for a weekend stay. Wouldn’t recommend for a short stay.

Read the fine print

First the good. Security staff were helpful and very kind. Bedrooms were nice size. Closet with games was nice. Plenty of white shower towels. View of the ocean was beautiful for sunrise. The company was prompt in texting back to answer my questions. Well maintained private beach. Nice walk to the heart of downtown. Shop owners were all amazing. Go have crapes for sure! Concerns. Living room was tiny, seats 4. I have never stayed at a VRBO that provided so little in terms of everyday essentials for the kitchen. The listing states there were bikes for rent, when we called they stated our particular rental did not have the option to rent bikes. You have to check in off site and the staff were not all that helpful when asking for local recommendations. They told us which building we were in but not how to find specific unit so if you arrive at night be sure ask how to find unit. Advertised as multiple pools and hot tubs. Most not open while we were there or some were offsite. Wash machine had an oder. No soap provided for dishwasher or wash machine. I was not sure if the dishes in the dishwasher were clean or dirty. Kitchen is small if you plan to cook. There were no games on the beach (corn hole etc) which was in the listing. No beach towels in unit so pack your own if you have room.

Nice view

Overall, we had a nice stay here and felt very safe during the tropical storm Ophelia. The unit was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed except the traditional coffee pot was miniature and we were constantly making more pots for 6 people. They had a Kureg, but we didn’t bring pods and they did not provide reusable ones. The blind on the left side of the sliding glass doors was broken. We wished we could have raised it to have more of the view of the ocean! Same with the other queen bedroom blind. The master bath’s towel rack was broken and hanging by a nail. The second bathroom’s shower door was off it’s track and wouldn’t close completely. It doesn’t seem like the owners have been at their condo recently to address these items.

Great location. Kitchen could be better equipped, also would be good to have access at least to a broom and dustpan. Overall place was quite nice and pretty much as the pictures depicted.

Perfectly convenient!

We had no idea how truly convenient everything about our stay at Sea Colony Island House would be! We loved our unit, the carts to help unload/reload, the views, the decks, the pools, the walk ways to the beach, the umbrella/chair rentals at every beach entrance, the trams, etc. We were so grateful for how easy access all of the hot spots were made to our older guests. We are so eager to return!
