The property was great, the host was easy to reach when I had a gate issue. The house was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The night sky with all the stars was worth the trip. We will be back again. Thank you Laura from Lakeland, Florida.
The âtreehouse â is nestled pretty far back in the woods which was perfect for us. Nighttime was unbelievably quiet. Our host thought of just about everything needed for cooking, cleaning, laundry, and even grilling. It felt like the place was setup just for us!
There are lots of stairs, but that was obvious from the pictures and was not a problem for us.
Enjoyed the out of the way location, still with the comforts of home. Enjoyed the wildlife. The birds singing throughout the day. Did not see any snakes, even though we were on the lookout for them when walking the little dogs. Saw one big turtle and one medium alligator floating down the river. The kids and I enjoyed walking up the spring creek, well away from the river's edge. There was clay in the bank, perfect for creekside sculptures. Great time!
The day before the owner informed me a bee removal team would be there working under the house. We only had one full day there and that was the day the bees were swarming. I feel that appt should have been made another time. Or the dates should have been blocked out so renters werenât there. Multiple people got stung and we were stuck inside trying to avoid them. The house is cute. Just be prepared that driving in it does get very rural and I was concerned but the house itself is super cute. The way itâs located on the water was tough for the grandparents to get back up the hill to the house since there arenât stairs going down to the river. Without the bees though this would be a place we would have really enjoyed.
I understand vacation time is rare and should be valued and enjoyed. I do all I can to make your time comfortable so you can relax and build family memories. (or work if that's what your into!) I have been a host since 2005 and have had a great time with the experience. My favorite thing about offering unique properties is taking feedback from guest and doing what is necessary to improve the next persons experience. I live in Panama City Beach and am currently working on a family project developing East Bay Fishing Village on the shores of East St. Andrews Bay. We have put in a dock complete with boat slips and have several units for short terms stays. (some pet friendly) Please feel free to ask about any of our properties and I hope to get to meet you soon!
The tranquility of this location is unmatched. Sit on the back deck during sunrise and listen to what the birds are saying. (let me know because I think they are talking junk!)
