You will love coming to Madrona Beach on Camano Island and staying in this quirky, charming beach cottage.

Inside you'll find a recently remodeled, fresh space with lots of cozy spaces to relax.

Outside you'll enjoy the deck with views of Saratoga Passage, Whidbey Island and the Olympic Mountains in the background. Eagles and whales often wander through. The beach is just a short walk and then as far as you want to explore north or south along the shore.

This is a vintage beach house built on a hillside. Please be sure everyone in your group is comfortable with stairs.

This is a vintage beach cottage with unavoidable, steep and narrow stairways and walkways both inside and outside the house.

Parking is very limited in this neighborhood. There is room for 2 cars. No trailers or extra vehicles.

All people on the property count in the occupancy numbers, including all ages and daytime visitors. Please disclose your plans when booking.

Enjoyed the view!

Our reward, after climbing from the parking area one full stairway to the door and then another interior full stairway up, was the well accommodated 2nd floor living area with the wonderful view of the water from the deck. The weather for the week was sunny with spectacular sunsets every evening. Beach access required a treacherous downhill path alongside the 1st tier of cottages below our cottage...instead of this we drove to the State Parks and other beaches for our beach walks. Spending family time made it all perfect.

Beautiful weekend getaway

We had a wonderful 3 night stay. The view was amazing, with eagles in the nearby trees and we were close to restaurant/shopping options. Most businesses closed early, including restaurants. Would definitely stay here again!

Very nice place. Great View.

Very nice place with a great view. Clean. Comfortable beds. Very responsive owner. Perfect fit for my family of 4. I would recommend this place to anyone traveling in the area. I will look to stay here again on my next trip.

Great Stay

My family really enjoyed our stay here. Jenn was a very responsive host. The walk to the private beach was very nice. There were more than enough board games to keep my family entertained after it got dark. I would definitely recommend this rental.

Peaceful family getaway

We are a family of three- a couple and our college-aged-daughter. This space was perfect for us- allowing us all comfy sleeping space and privacy as well as wonderful common areas and a deck with an outstanding view. The kitchen had everything we needed to make some good meals, and shopping for groceries was close and easy. We’d never been to Camano Island and weren’t sure what to expect, but what we found was a beautiful, laid-back place without a lot of tourists- exactly what we wanted. This was a perfect home base for going to the state park for hiking and kayaking. We also enjoyed spending time down at the beach below the property, just listening to the waves, birdwatching (bald eagles!), and catching the most adorable teeny tiny crabs. Camano Island has good vibes, and so does this lovely home. Excellent communication with the host, and we really loved the fact they allow people to leave food items behind, to be used by other future guests or repurposed (fed to chickens) if appropriate. Also loved that they have recycling bins available for guests. This place was spotless and clean without being sterile and wasteful of resources.

We had a wonderful stay in the cottage overlooking the water. The place was clean and well stocked with nice new linens . The neighbors were friendly. The view was spectacular!

Totally relaxing & Awesome views

We have family in the area that was just 7 minutes away and they have a boat and picked us up off the beach on one morning. The sunsets are amazing. This place has about everything you need in a kitchen. We would highly recommend it.

Charming and comfortable

We visited Camano Island for the first time to attend a wedding. This cottage was just right for our stay! We loved the views of the water from inside and on the outside deck and the sunsets were beautiful! We also enjoyed the quick access the the beach! It appears that recent updates were done, as the decor, bed linens and towels were fresh, new and stylish. The bed in the master upstairs was especially comfortable. The kitchen was very well stocked. The cottage is charming with a lot of character, and very cozy, comfortable, clean and fresh. Even better in person than the photos. It’s bright and inviting!

Tall people take note!

This house is beautiful, with amazing views and inside amenities. I would think anyone under 6' tall would love it. Unfortunately we found out the hard way that the downstairs is only 5'11-6' tall and the upstairs is 6'8 with beams and doorways as low as 6'4. So our amazing views and amenities came with slouching, bending, and a few nasty head bangs. As remarkable as this place is for a gorgeous holiday we would unfortunately not return due to the height issue.

A Spectacular Gem of a Rental

My sisters and I loved every minute of our stay here. A quick drive away from the Seattle area and you feel like you're out of range of any to do list. Each detail that mattered to us (space, comfort, accessibility, VIEW!!!, great wi-fi, easy check in and out process) met every expectation and then some. It it obvious that the owners put thought and energy into preparing to share their home with others looking for some time away. While the kitchen has all you need to prepare your own dishes, the table is set for the loungy, long chats type of meals, the location of this house is perfect for a quick trip back into "town" for coffee, all kinds of delicious foods and more. And, the beach and view can be easily enjoyed for the well set up deck or a take quick walk down from the front door. Sure hoping that we'll get to visit again and very soon.

A Hidden Surprise

Camano Island was much more than we expected. The property was perfect for our family. We were able to hike trails close by and enjoy movie nights as a family. The sleepy vibe was exactly what this go-go family needed.
