Step outside your door for gorgeous lake views of Bullock Pen Lake. Drop a line off the dock, or make use of complimentary fishing kayak or Jon boat with trolling motor. Enjoy a coffee on the many seating options on the covered patio, or open deck overlooking the water. Regardless of weather, there are plenty of gaming options available! Unwind with S’mores at the fire pit!
Continue to relax while still enjoying fabulous views from the comfort of the couch! The main bedroom is equipped with a super comfortable King size bed and a Serta couch/full sleeper. The second bedroom includes a full bed, with a half bath for convenience. The bonus room includes toys and many indoor and outdoor games! The smaller couch in the living room is a queen-size pullout bed.

We really loved the location and the scenery. It was beautiful. If you have small dogs, be aware there is a very large pitbull type dog that lives next door. Owner was very polite and advised the dog was just curious of our small dogs, but we still kept a close eye on ours when we took them out for walks. We took the boat out a couple of times and really got to see the beauty of the area. If you like to fish, the neighbors were catching catfish and bluegill like crazy!! Right off the dock! Our favorite breakfast place was Beans- I’d highly recommend it. We had a very peaceful and relaxing 20 year anniversary here.

Fantastic home for families! So many thoughtful amenities. Even though it was the hottest week in KY, the house stayed nice and cool. There are some steep stairs to the house to be mindful of. One of the cleanest homes we've ever booked! The beds were very comfortable with the king bed being memory foam. The shower had great pressure. The kitchen was fully functional and there was even a counter top ice maker! The lake is beautiful and the available fishing gear was in great shape. Perfectly situated between the Ark and Creation Museum. Lots of indoor/outdoor games provided to keep everyone engaged. Verona Angilos was delicious for pizza and fried seafood. Greg was responsive and kind. Highly recommend to any group looking to visit the area.

Beautiful, comfortable, and perfect location

This is the perfect rental for those visiting the Ark Encounter and CM. It’s close and convenient to both. This property is very comfortable and cozy and well stocked. We loved playing darts and fishing a bit. A wonderful experience all around!

New Granddaughter

Came to visit my son and wife prior to the birth of the latest grandbaby. Place was very clean a peaceful location. Great location to get on and off I-75 and several gas stations and Dollar General and Family dollar on that exit for last minute essentials as well. We will stay there again!!

Family Ark Encounter Weekend

We had family from GA and MI meeting at the cottage to go to the encounter the next day. It was only 17 minutes from the Ark Encounter. We enjoined the fire pit and dart board on the back deck. Some of us took the little boat out for a trip around the lake with the fall colors. The kitchen was adequately stocked for our two meals and breakfasts we made. We had plenty of space to sleep for our group of 7. The owner was quick to respond. We would definitely stay here again.

Really nice with thoughtful touches and inclusions

Enjoyed our stay. It was great for the time we were there. Much of the included facilities such as the boat and outdoor equipment was not used by us, but is a great inclusion for those staying longer or spending more time in the actual accommodation.

Good location

This house is good once inside. The steps outside that have to be used to access the house are steep and hard to use if one has bad knees, legs or hips. (Not a good match for someone with mobility issues) The house itself was nice and the kitchen was well equipped for cooking. We enjoyed our stay. It was a great location for activities in the north Lexington, KY to Cincinnati, OH area.

Perfect Fishing Camp!

A great place to put your feet up and relax after touring the Ark and Creation Museum. Getting a line wet with your grandson is an experience every grandfather should enjoy before he becomes a teenager and this is the the perfect place to make those memories!

Perfect place

We absolutely loved the place! It was the perfect location as we traveled to visit the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter. The country setting by the water was relaxing and the kids enjoyed getting out on the boat to fish-and they caught one! Thank you for a lovely stay!

The Property is Very Good, I liked Everything, I only have one thing, the bed is in the Room with the Half Bathroom, the bed needs another Mattress because it is very bad, and the bed sounds a lot, and the Mattress The furniture in the living room would need a sponge mat, otherwise everything is very good, thank you very much.

Our Stay

My wife and I enjoyed our stay very much. Great view and location. The home had everything we needed and wanted for a comfortable stay. There is a bee problem at the front corner of the house and the steps were very steep. None of these things mattered to us much but someone who wants to sit on the front deck would have a problem with the bees. Overall the house was cute and clean and had everything we needed. The covered back patio area was awesome.

The lake house

First impression was not the best of the property. The inside of the property was clean. Overall our needs including fishing, fun for entire family, and relaxation were met. We did have to contact the host and he was very nice. He came and tried to to make our stay more comfortable.

Spring break to see the Ark

The property was beautiful the owner was very responsive. It was very relaxing sitting on the covered deck, reading and just being outdoors. It was the perfect getaway to relax from work and other life stressors to be with family and reconnect it was exactly what we were looking for. And the basket with the making for s'mores was the perfect touch. Having a washer and dryer was great so we didn't have to go home with dirty clothes that is always ideal for the mom!

Spacious Cabin

We had 4 adults in our party and the cabin worked out very well for us. It was super clean, and we had everything we needed, including plenty of towels, washcloths, kitchen items, etc. We had a little concern about the steps going up to the cabin since we are in our late '60s and early '70s. It was tough dragging a 50 lb suitcase up the steps as they are steep. But overall, it was an excellent experience and a beautiful view. The leaves were gorgeous. We enjoyed the fire pit and the s'mores kit.

Family-friendly, teen-friendly, relaxing rental with great views. We needed more than 2 nights!

My teen boys were not thrilled about this year’s vacation plans to visit the ARK and Creation Museum but I promised them that this place had kayaks. What I didn’t realize was that, it didn’t just have a kayak. It had a Jon boat with great instructions, fishing gear, corn hole, board games, and lots more. There was so much attention to detail and the household provisions, that even if it rains, you wouldn’t be bored. The picturesque lake view from the front of the house was serene. What we needed was a whole week here instead of 2 days.
