Quiet, pet friendly, brand new cabin in the heart of the Kenai Peninsula. Queen size bedroom on the first floor with two twin beds in the loft. Kitchen open to the living room. Rockers on the porch and dining table for 4 and bar-b-que on the deck. Crooked Creek runs through the property and is a short walk from the cabin. Close to Tustumena, Johnson, Centennial Lakes and Cook Inlet.
I booked this cabin with Mary one year before our trip; the property was a perfect fit for our needs. My Brother and his girl friend stayed in the main bedroom, and my Nephew and I bedded in the loft. The cabin had all the utensils we needed, shower, stove, refrigerator, and Mary was a great host and wonderful person to meet. Thanks Mary;Marc Williams
Such a great experience! Our host? Mary is amazingly gracious, easy to communicate with, and very friendly. The cabin itself was exactly as described, clean, has all the amenities you need, and comfortable. It was also pet friendly!Location is perfect for fishing - just a short drive to all the rivers and close to town if you need to pick anything up. Highly recommend staying here!!!
This was a good location in a quiet neighborhood. Mary was a great host and very attentive. The listing should be read as double bed for a couple and loft with two twins for small children or small adults. Our two friends from lower 48 were both over 6' tall and was not comfortable for them in the loft. Also the stairs to the loft were very steep. Would suggest a replacement of both twin matress in the loft.
Really enjoyed our stay in Kasolif. It was close to where we wanted to fish for salmon with our grandson. Cabin was very nice and clean. Mary was a great host and helped us find a fishing guide! Excellent location!
My husband and I are both firefighters and can only take time off in the winter or spring months, if we want to do so together. Mary's cabin was just right for the two of us and our elderly Lab, Luna.
The full kitchen was great for making our own meals, and Luna was happy to see a handful of biscuits waiting in a dish on the counter for her when she walked in. Luna also had two clean bowls for her to use in the cabin, allowing us to keep hers in the truck for long days adventuring!
The walk-in shower was very pleasant, with plenty of drawers in the vanity and shelves in the medicine cabinet to store our toiletries. We had more than enough towels, and the hot water was reliable and plentiful.
The cabin is located off a graded road close to Kasilof, in a wooded neighborhood. We saw rabbits, grouse, moose tracks and other animal sign throughout our stay. It is a short drive to Soldotna, Johnson Lake, and Tustamena Lake, as well as dozens of hiking trails and Kalifornsky beach. Luna had a blast and was happily tuckered out every day.
We already want to come back later this year to do more exploring. Mary and I enjoyed a few evening walks together with her two Aussies, while my husband enjoyed the evening birdsong from the cabin's deck. Mary is a wonderful host and made us all feel right at home. Many thanks, Mary, for helping to make our time together restorative!
