This beautiful 5BR/5.5BA estate just outside Cashiers is an ideal spot for an idyllic mountain getaway. Explore miles of private hiking and biking trails, enjoying waterfalls and fly-fishing streams along the way. Situated at 4,200 feet, you can be assured of peace, privacy, and tranquility. You’ll love time spent taking in the mountain views from the enormous deck with fireplace. Prep meals and snacks in the gourmet kitchen or keep dinner simple and grill out on the barbeque. Hardwood floors and exposed wood beams create a warm and inviting atmosphere throughout.
LIVING AREAS Cozy up in the inviting living room, where vaulted ceilings, exposed wood beams, an antler chandelier, and a stone fireplace make the space place-perfect. Curl up on the leather couch and armchair, reading a novel from the built-in bookshelves on either side of the fireplace. A den offers a flat-screen TV, couch with sleeper sofa, and both a cabinet and a closet stocked with board games and toys. There is also a full bathroom with a tub/shower combination off this room.
KITCHEN & DINING The fully stocked kitchen will impress professionals and avid enthusiasts with its copper sink, solid surface countertops, and stainless appliances that include a commercial-grade gas stove and a wine fridge. You will have everything needed to put delicious meals on the table, and sous chefs will appreciate the large center island. Open to the kitchen, the dining area affords mountain views and houses a table for eight; three more can be seated at the kitchen island.
BEDROOMS & BATHS With five bedrooms and a queen sleeper sofa, the house accommodates 12. Wake up to mountain views in the elegant main-floor master bedroom with a king bed, two club chairs, and backyard access. The en-suite bathroom features shiplap walls, a double vanity, a water closet, a large walk-in shower with bench, and a soaking tub from which you can take in the scenic views. On the upper level, the second bedroom is essentially another master suite, with its king bed and en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower. Vivid bedding adorns the queen bed in the upper-level third bedroom with a private bathroom that has a tub/shower combination. In the fourth bedroom, located on the upper level, multiple windows flood the room with natural light, and two twin beds are spread with quilts. The fifth bedroom offers a queen bed and reading chair flanked by large windows. These rooms share an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower and double vanity.
OUTDOOR AREA Experience mountain living at its best on the expansive back deck with outdoor fireplace, plenty of seating, and bucolic views.
CHINQUAPIN AMENITIES/MORE INFO: Pickleball courts, driving range, mini golf, batting cages, hiking trails, basketball courts, archery, fire pits, gym, playground, dog park, clubhouse. Other amenities include a washer/dryer set and laundry sink, complimentary Wi-Fi, and parking for up to five cars in the driveway.
THE LOCATION Lace up your hiking books and hit the 18 miles of private hiking and biking trails, that take you by waterfalls and fly-fishing streams. Lake Glenville offers lots to do, especially during the warm summer months. Visit the beach for swimming and sunbathing, and check out the three waterfalls along the shores. Head to the lake for waterskiing, tubing, paddle boarding, and fishing. Holidays are a four (4) day minimum.

Great Weekend in the Mountains

The house was perfectly located, convenient to Cashiers, with everything we needed, and views that can’t get much better. Highly recommend this place for a family vacation!

Incredible place

This place is more is more like a well procured personal home, than a vacation rental. Every detail of the house is well thought out. The kitchen is extremely well stocked, down to even a salad spinner. The property and house are stunning, but the most amazing thing is the unencumberd views. Great access to hiking to waterfalls in the neighborhood and nearby Panthertown.

The home is warm and inviting. The community amenities were superb. My guests and i particularly enjoyed the real wood fireplaces and the special personal touches around the house. More than a mere rental, we were privileged to stay in someone's cherished family home. This home goes to eleven!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 2nd stay here and it is fabulous if you’re looking for a relaxing visit in the mountains at a house that sleeps many. There are so many conveniences of home that are here - lots of dishes, gadgets, dishwasher pods, trash bags, baggies, Tupperware, etc. The only convenience missing in the kitchen is an ice maker but there are tons of ice cube trays and a big bowl to put cubes in. It’s a small kitchen, so not a lot of room for a bunch of cooks!!! The views are outstanding, tons of firewood for the fireplaces in the living room and outdoor fireplace. There is 1 TV in the house which is sufficient for our needs. Instructions for the TV could benefit from updating. It is very private with very few homes in the development. 10-15 min drive from the Ingles Market in Cashiers. We lost power for a bit during a rain shower and the generator kicked on and worked until it was no longer needed. THAT is an awesome convenience, for which we were grateful. This is a home to rent if you are a conscientious renter - it is someone’s vacation home and should be respectfully taken care of just as you would your own home. It was a delightful week at Starry Night.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed a great week with family at this beautiful home in Chinquapin. We used the community center several evenings with it's driving range, putt-putt golf and fire pit area. We also hiked on the onsite trails and enjoyed one of the waterfalls. It was a great trip for us.
