The home and location are beautiful. The airport noise/proximity isn't a problem at all...it's actually fun to watch the planes land and take-off. The furnishings and amenities were excellent. Christine was responsive to calls and texts. The only draw back was that there is construction right next door. Thankfully, the noise was manageable and Christine help to communicate with the builder; however, the compressor turned on at 8am and off at 4pm.

All the basics, nice kitchen with plenty of pots/pans and dishes with utensils. Wildflowers in the backyard, lovely view of the water and quiet neighborhood. Lots to do in town of Sitka - shopping, yummy seafood, Bear Sanctuary, Raptor Sanctuary, Alaskan Native culture, crafts and dances. Wonderful visit!

Beautiful brand new

Quick trip for us for baseball. Hardly spent time at the house which was a shame because it was so quiet and peaceful and beautiful. Would definitely rent again! Highly recommend!

Excellent view offshore and the airport. Fun to watch planes come and go (only a few per day). Living area upstairs had great views of the outlying islands and the mountains to the East. Easy walk to town. Very close to airport. Well stocked kitchen.

September in Sitka

Heavenly. The views to the South (especially!) and West to the Ocean were magic. The property was clean and comfortable; the kitchen was well-stocked; the garage provided a welcome space to charge and secure our rented e-bikes. We had a marvelous visit to beautiful Sitka. Christine was kind and accommodating to permit us to leave our luggage in the unit well past check out to facilitate a late flight. 5 Star!

However, the pillows in the downstairs front facing bedroom smelled badly (like an elderly man's beard--whatever that is!). I washed them the next morning and it didn't help. Towels could use a turnover as well. Kitchen was supplied well enough for our needs and very user friendly. Beds were comfortable and the neighborhood in general felt safe

It was extremely clean, located in a great area (close to airport - so cool to watch the planes land), and close to all 3 harbors from where we needed to leave each morning. Really loved the main floor as it had so much light. The condo had everything you'd need, including supplies (laundry detergent, teas and coffees, etc). Its the little extra things like this that make such a difference! But most important, it was such a pleasure to connect with Christine and get the trip arranged. She even helped me with a shipment as I didn't want much luggage to carry. She is a wealth of knowledge and a pleasure to work with! I'd highly recommend this rental.

Excellent Sitka House

This is a clean and modern home in Sitka that is less than 5 mins from the airport. I was concerned about the airplane noise but it was barely audible to us. Great communication from the host. Small issue we had was taken care of promptly and professionally. Rooms are spacious and kitchen was equipped well for a weekend getaway. No dining area but we were happy with the breakfast bar set up. Very clean and quiet neighborhood. I would absolutely make a reservation here for another Sitka trip. Thank you for the relaxing place to stay!
