This unique place has a style all its own.

Our loft, “The Mountaineer Suite”, sits on 2 floors, features a full kitchen/dining area, full private bathroom with a custom shower, along with heated floors for those cold, winter months. Follow the stairs to the loft area where you’ll find a spacious, open floor plan which features a workspace, a spacious living room with a large comfortable sectional, (which adds additional sleeping space), Smart TV and 2 beds, one full/queen size and one twin.

There is a parking pad right out front for Airbnb parking. The entrance to the Airbnb is through the top entrance when facing the house from the parking area. PLEASE NOTE: THE ENTRANCE FOR THIS AIRBNB IS THE TOP DOOR ENTRANCE, THERE IS ANOTHER AIRBNB AT THE BOTTOM HOUSE. PLEASE USE TOP DOOR ENTRANCE.
"Key" Access to the Space is through an app called August. I will send a link via text once you book and it will instruct you to download the app and create an account, once you do that you will see your invitation there. Then, once you arrive at the front door, you will open the app and see a red dot, tap the dot and it will turn green and unlock the door. To re-lock, just tap the green dot. It's slick and simple and you have no physical keys to keep track of or worry about losing!

The Mountaineer Suite is situated on 2 floors. Kitchen and bathroom on the first floor and stairs lead you up to the loft area where you'll find an open floor plan with living room, 2 beds and a desk area. The entrance is located on the upper deck area.

Just keep in mind that the Airbnb does have 2 levels, there is a narrow stairway leading up to the loft area, which is the main living space with living room and beds. Kitchen and bathroom are on the first level.

Property manager Jennifer forgot to send check in details. After we got her robocall answering machine twice, she texted us back and was VERY rude!! Practical details missing: no bathroom trash can and no light fixtures within 6 yards of beds. The WiFi password did not work. The bathroom heater was installed so that pieces of metal stuck out at ankle height. FYI listing does not adequately show the narrow and steep indoor staircase inaccessible for those with any mobility limitations whatsoever. Be aware that another VRBO listing is below the apartment—the other occupants liked to yell, and took our single parking spot! After staying here I wish I’d just stayed at a hotel for a little more money. At the very least a new property manager who is professional and competent should be hired. I do not recommend.

Wow. If anyone wonders about how professional and friendly Jennifer is, all they need to do is look at all the reviews which specifically mention her and how amazing he is. She did not forget to send checkin instructions, and she does not have a robocall answering machine. The minute she saw the missed call, which was received while she was at an event, she called back and gave instuctions for checkin. And when she was made aware that the poeple in the bottom property took the parking spot, she immediately called them and had them move their car allowing you to park there. I know all of this because I am Jennifer and I don't have a rude bone in my body, sometimes I wish I did. Our listing does state that the stairs aren't suitable for anyone with mobility issues, as they are narrow. We are sorry you felt dissatisfied with your stay.

Everything was nice. The bed slept very comfortably. Location was perfect for the event we were here for. The only drawback was the bathroom being downstairs, but we managed. All in in, we loved it.

Perfect spot

This place was perfect for what we were looking for; walking distance to restaurants and breweries and a short drive to cooper’s rock state forest for hiking. It was cute, comfortable, and clean. Would definitely come back!

Exactly as Described

This unit was perfect for myself and two friends for a weekend in morgantown for a football game. It was clean and clearly updated with new flooring, painting, and even had a heated bathroom floor! Within walking distance of high street bars and tucked away for a quiet sleep. I would definitely stay again.

Overall, we greatly enjoyed our stay at this property, and the host was very courteous and responsive. Downstairs, the kitchen area was clean and well-appointed, and the bathroom was very comfortable with heated floors and an amazing shower. The upstairs living/sleeping area was also clean and comfortable, though the bed nooks may be a bit cramped for some. We primarily used the large sectional sofa. Our only real complaint was the stairs between the two floors. They are very steep and narrow, with a sharp turn. Navigating them can be treacherous, especially when carrying luggage or other items.

Exactly as described

Everything went great; communication, check-in, flexibility, location. Great work desk that raised electronically into a standing work station was a pleasant surprise. I was worried a bit about the fully open floor plan, but each sleeping nook felt semi private. It was great, we will be back

Nice stay

Comfortable stay for Homecoming weekend at WVU. Apartment is as described. Clean and has a great shower. I would be mindful of the description of the stairs. Navigating the steps at night is interesting with the bathroom on the first level. Easy Uber ride to stadium if in town for a game.

Weekend visit with daughter

I went to Morgantown to visit my college age daughter who is doing a summer internship. We had a great time! It’s close to dining and groceries and the river and hiking. The property is beautiful and feels secluded because of the trees. It was very clean and comfortable. The beds were so comfy. The host was very helpful and responsive to my texts and went way out of her way to help us out when my daughter misplaced an important item. I would love to stay there again if I ever need to.

WVU freshman orientation

I brought my nephew who’s attending WVU in the fall, and my son who attends a university in Virginia, to tour WVU. We had a great time. The location was a little charming neighborhood that gave a small town college vibe, just what my boys wanted to experience. The parking was a little tight but was easily worked out by parking on the street. The host was AMAZING and checked in the morning after we arrived to see how our stay was going.
