Perfect Bungalow

The bungalow is as advertised including the well-done landscaping. It provided a truly relaxing experience. The host was great to work with, and we are already planning a return trip next year.

Cozy and perfect location

This bungalow is adorable, cozy, comfortable, and is perfectly located for what we needed. The owner obviously takes pride in this property and has created a home away from home. We will definitely be staying here again when visiting family.

Wonderful cottage

The cottage was even better than its description! My daughter and I enjoyed a long weekend here. The decor was beautiful and Laurie had thought of everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Great visit to Clayton

Loved this cute, cozy bungalow! It was super clean and quiet. Access was easy with a great location close to town. Communication about checkin and checkout was helpful. Laurie thought of everything to make our stay pleasant and comfortable. We hope to return!

In-law suite

This is such a cozy little place. It was perfect for extra room for some out-of-town family for the holidays. Nicely appointed with the comforts of home as well. Close to downtown Clayton and centrally located for any activities you would want to do. Definitely saving this property for future use.

Downtown and Cozy

My sister and I flew in for a 50k fall race. This place was perfect for us to rest and relax afterwards. The attention to detail and cleanliness of this property made all the difference. We spent most of our time under cozy blankets on the front porch! This property is in a great location and close to the downtown strip, but still tucked away and nice and cozy.

The perfect getaway!

We loved our stay at The Secret Garden Bungalow! It was close to downtown but still felt like a getaway. Very clean, great screened in porch, and the fire pit was a great place to relax in the evenings. We will definitely return!

Wonderful Anniversary Weekend!

My husband and I loved our weekend getaway to Clayton. The bungalow was exactly as listed. It’s a very cozy and comfortable place. Loved the extra touches like the local artwork, the gas fireplace, and the porch swing! We would definitely stay here again.

Getaway

There is nothing not perfect about this rental, except that you have to leave. Its beautiful, serene, and comfy. The place is exactly as pictured, the host is above and beyond attentive to detail and responsive once there if any issues. No one will leave dissatisfied, all will not want to leave EVER, lol.

Wonderful Location & Clean, Comfy and Cute

We enjoyed our stay here, as it was really a great location, clean and comfy. The outside areas were really wonderful. Lots of blankets, for the inside and a wonderful swing on the enclosed porch, fire pit with 4 chairs, a cute eating area outside as well. I would suggest you bring any additional amenities you would need, as the host did not provide a lot of the extras, like extra coffee, shampoo, conditioner, ironing board and extra toilet paper.

Secret garden in Clayton

This property was adorable! We loved the location, decor and landscaping. Very private with a wonderful screened in porch. Beds were super comfortable. Close to restaurants and shopping. Close to highway but far enough away that there was zero traffic noise. Great place to relax and decompress in beautiful surroundings. My mom, husband and I had a great time on our trip to Dillard for a family wedding. We are so happy we stayed in Clayton at the Secret Garden house.

Great little cabin in the woods

Cute home off the beaten path. Super quiet but just outside of Clayton. We rented this to raft the chatooga and it was very convenient. The house has a great screened in porch and another outdoor space for dining. The kitchen and bathrooms were spotless and well appointed. The beds were comfortable and linens were clean. We cooked quite a bit and everything we needed was there, including the condiments in the refrigerator, coffee, tea and spices that were greatly appreciated. Communication was excellent. I would definitely rent this place again.

Beautiful, pristine bungalow close to Clayton

This bungalow may be my favorite rental ever. It was beautiful inside and out and definitely the cleanest. The garden and outdoor areas were delightful; my sister and I could have lived on the screen porch. Kitchen was very well equipped. The only thing that bothered me (a little) was there were no shades or blinds on the bedroom windows, only sheer curtains. It was just a little disconcerting for us when we were changing, but that may be just us. Otherwise, it was a wonderful weekend. (Oh yea, a hot tub in the back would really make this place perfect!)

Perfect Getaway Spot

We were very fortunate the Secret Garden Bungalow was available on short notice as it books up quickly and I can definitely see why. It really is the perfect getaway spot! The house is just darling with so many beautiful touches throughout. Everything from the bedding to the shower pressure was wonderful. You can tell Laurie has thought of everything her guests may need as the house is stocked with cook wear, extra paper towels and toilet paper, laundry pods, extra towels and linen. You just really feel at home and besides picking up some groceries, everything else was supplied. The landscaping on the property makes the home feel very private yet is just minutes from downtown Clayton. The porches were wonderful to relax on while enjoying the day and the front porch swing is probably my favorite place in the home. We will definitely be back for another visit soon!
