Beautiful Highlands cabin! 8 min to town-Pet friendly-lots of outdoor space
Little Pine House is a beautiful 1950 cabin located in a private neighborhood called Flat Mountain Estates. It is in a cul de sac neighborhood, so thereâs no thru traffic. Itâs great for walking with mountain views at the top, and Ranger Falls and Cliffside hiking trails are just around the corner. The home is a beautifully updated one level ranch home with lots of its original charm. It is on a nicely landscaped flat lot with lots of privacy and outdoor space. Great for pets and relaxing, and the outdoor porch with wood burning fireplace is always a favorite spot. There is plenty of parking for 4 or more cars, and we are located near the front of our neighborhood, so it is very easy access with no steep hills. Less than 10 minutes from downtown Highlands, and 15 to Cashiers. The adorable town of Clayton is close by too. Oak Steakhouse is just 4 minutes away down Flat Mountain rd in the Skyline Lodge. We love everything about this spot, and sincerely think you will too!
Neely and Jennings are wonderful, responsive, and gracious hosts. Their Highlands property is lovely, comfy, and well maintained. Thank you for a truly delightful stay!
Loved the house and location. Nice walks and hikes right out the front door. The hosts thought of everything. All of the light switches and kitchen things were labelled so it was very easy to find things. Fully stocked coffee bar was an added bonus. Sat outside in the hammock several times. Communicate was prompt and helpful. 10/10
Very cozy house making it easy to relax and unwind. Although the weather was mostly wet and rainy the house was so comfortable and inviting with the fireplace on porch and the games in the cabinet. We caught up on some Christmas movies and enjoyed cooking a nice meal in the well equipped kitchen.
We really enjoyed our stay. Owners attention to every detail is evident throughout the house. Location is convenient, house is great, fires on the porch were incredible. Would absolutely stay again
This was our second stay, and as expected, it did not disappoint. The house was beautiful and had everything we could possible need. The owners are so courteous and attentive.. we will be back!
Jennings our Hostess was always at Hand, we communicated frequently not because of any problems, but because she was engaging and knowledgeable of all things on that side of the Highland Plateau. The provisioning of the cabin was beyond every expectation. From the smallest detail to special pet blankets for the bed, all was available. The instructions and labeling of how everything worked and to what was where was clear and I insightful. As one could say â the devil is in the details! She covered them all. We home to return to the cabin next year and hope that life allows that to happen for us. You willNot be disappointed! B & B
My husband and I loved our stay here. It's located in a very nice and quiet neighborhood that is super convenient to Oak Steakhouse, downtown Highlands, and hiking trails. The house is super comfortable, well-appointed, and laid out perfectly for traveling couples or a family. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need. The back porch is INCREDIBLE for hanging out and the fireplace is killer. We really enjoyed walking the neighborhood. Hosts were excellent as well. Will definitely stay again!
The Little Pine Cabin was perfect in every way. It is in a wonderful location; easy drive only a short distance from downtown Highlands. Prior to our stay the hosts were in touch on more than one occasion with suggestions for restaurants and places of interest. We couldn't have asked for better communication from them. The cabin has every amenity with a special coffee bar, fully stocked, along with a welcome bottle of wine. It was a special experience with all that this home offered. We will definitely return. Many thanks to our host for making this visit memorable!
Hard to know where to start! We had the BEST time here for a quick little family getaway after Thanksgiving. Our kids loved the hammocks and outdoor fire pit area. The house is well equipped with everything you might need. So many thoughtful little touches throughout the house that show how much the owners care about your stay! I'm so sad to leave! We will definitely come back.
I reserved this house for a small birthday celebration and it was simply perfect! It is just the right size in the right location in between Cashiers and the Highlands making it so easy to get to both. The kitchen is all top end appliances with anything and everything you need. With every room having their own TVs and easy parking, this house leaves you needing nothing for your visit. The fireplaces make the stay feel mountainy cozy and the house is so quaint that I donât think the pictures do it justice. You canât go wrong with this rental!
Everything about our stay was simply perfect. From the ease of booking and the communication with Neely and Jennings before and during our trip. They are the perfect hosts and went above and beyond to make my birthday special. The cabin is located in a quiet neighborhood, and we enjoyed relaxing on the screened in porch. All the little touches make you feel like you are staying at a friend's home rather than a rental. The cabin is so cozy and there are lots of places to hang out. The furniture and beds are comfortable, and everyone slept well during our trip. We enjoyed the coffee bar, beverage fridge and the luxury soaps in the bathrooms. We are already talking about coming back for a longer trip.
We had a great trip to Highlands thanks to Neely and Jennings. The house was spotless and well equipped. We stayed two nights, had breakfast one morning and dinner one night at the house. The neighborhood was very quiet and walkable with a short drive to town. We loved the screened in porch with the fireplace and tin roof! It was the perfect spot for a cool rainy day. Neely and Jennings were great communicators. Once we checked in we didnât have any questions or issues with the house, everything was well marked.
Quiet, private, cozy retreat. Super well stocked and comfortable furniture. Definitely one of those cabins where you are just as happy to stay home as you are to go hiking or head into town. We will definitely return!
With a busy wedding weekend schedule, it was nice to come back to the cute and peaceful cabin home to relax. While it was in a neighborhood, we had the feeling we were in a secluded area as we sat out in the screened-in porch in front of the fireplace. Overall a wonderful place to stay.
Property was very clean and incredibly organized. Convenient, quiet location with friendly neighbors. Everything you need for a great weekend in Highlands!Highly recommend and would certainly stay again.
We absolutely love Neely and Jenningâs place. Everything was exactly what we hoped for and more. We didnât want to leave and canât wait to go back. If you havenât been to Highlands go and stay here!
We've rented a lot of houses in a lot of places - this one was the most thoughtfully stocked home we've ever seen. All those little things that always seem to be missing, they're there. Every. Little. Thing. And then some. The home is immaculate - high end touches - super comfortable. The patio with tv and fireplace was where we spent our evenings. The trail head for Ranger Falls is a short walk from the home - beware, the outbound is all downhill leading to an uphill walk home!Would give it 6 stars across the board if we could...Thanks for a great stay!
It's a wonderful place to visit. A very eclectic cabin set in the woods, it has a fully equipped kitchen (appliances, pans, utensils, spices... the works!). 4 adults with plenty of room. We certainly enjoyed sitting on the screened porch with the fireplace going. Highly recommended.
Little Pine House is everything we expected it to be. Actually, this was our second Valentine stay and one again we appreciated the hospitality. Neely and Jennings are great hosts
This place was an idyllic holiday location. The hosts thought about every detail. I will absolutely come back here. Absolutely perfect. Thank you for making our holidays so special with the Christmas tree and all your Christmas decorations.
This little cottage was absolutely amazing! It was cozy, inviting, incredibly clean and I canât begin to describe how well amenitized this home was. We planned to cook an entire Thanksgiving dinner here, and normally that means packing your entire kitchen to do so. This lovely little cottage had literally everything we needed. On top of that, there is a beautifully stocked coffee bar and a lovely bottle of welcome wine. As everyone knows, Thanksgiving weekend is a football weekend, and there were ample and large televisions with all of the apps suitable to watch any game. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the fireplaces inside and out made for the loveliest holiday weekend. This home made us feel, like we were staying in a friends home, not a random rental property. I could go on and on about the thoughtfulness given to furnish and stock this home. Absolute Perfection!
We loved this adorable mountain cottage. It had everything that you could want. Very well decorated and private. The owners did a great job having all the extra touches for our stay. We lived on the screened in porch enjoying the fires. We will return!
I was visiting Highlands as the Hurricane approached and needed to wait it out in the house. We lost power but with fireplace (wood provided) and abundance of lanterns, batteries and candles was able to manage fine. I felt safe and secure in this home and glad it survived without any damage I could seeâ except tree damage. The owners were very helpful and worked with me to arrive early and depart when I could to avoid the worst. They also provided drinks in a small refrigerator that I appreciated during the blackout. I do hope to return to this sweet home. The neighborhood is very friendly and all helped each other during the storm.
