This listing is for ONE side of a 2x7BR duplex. Nice big beach. Sleeps 24 per side. Private pool PER SIDE, sheltered under the home. No sharing with the other side. HUGE wide open beach area! You can also stay in the other side, or both sides together for 14 bedrooms and double of everything else! Connecting door on in the living room areas for guests renting both sides.

You CAN leave your stuff out overnight / longer and not worry about the Leave Only Footprints beach patrols in GSOB which WILL take your stuff never to be seen again (of course, leaving anything is subject to some risk, but its guaranteed to be gone in GS or OB!).

Fort Sun West sleeps 24 people on each side. Fort Sun West has 7 Bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms (5 of which are FULL baths!). The unit is well accommodated, and high accommodating:

Private pool PER SIDE, sheltered under the home. No sharing with the other side. HUGE wide open beach area! The pool is open all year, and is 16x16' L-Shape, 3-4' deep.

The homes share a deck that takes you down to the expansive white sand beach. Plenty of room for beach volleyball or whatever moves your group!

A secure, interconnecting doorway allows large groups to use both sides of this lovely home to host up to 48 people!

Located on Fort Morgan, Fort Sun is close to many restaurants, golf courses, and other things to do, feels away from it all (but is only a short drive to all the hubbub on Gulf Shores itself), and is often a more cost-efficient choice for those who seek something a little more laid back. Plus, as an added bonus, our Fort Morgan vacation homes are not currently subject to the same restrictions on setting up umbrellas and other amenities overnight as those in Gulf Shores itself.

No smoking please, but feel free to eat lots of shrimp, bask in the warm sun, and have a great time!

Fort Sun West. Great trip!

We had a great trip! The connecting bedrooms on the 4th floor were the only drawback for us. We had mostly couples so privacy was hampered a bit but we still made it work. The beach was perfect, the house was clean and our large group did not feel cramped.

Fort Sun = top notch!

Besties family trip

This was an amazing home plenty of room for our 5 families and the 2 fridges were a great bonus plenty of room for everything!! The view and short distance to beach was the best part and a much added luxery of having the pool for evenings and the littles when they were done playing in the gulf!!

Great long Dec-March stay

Loved the laid back atmosphere

We had a great time, weather and beach was perfect the entire trip. Loved the location, as it was away from the hustle of town and on the end with more relaxed atmosphere for sure.

Our stay was great!

Our stay was great! I did the review from the property management. There were a few suggestions I made, I suggested that someone inspect after cleaning service left. We did not have very many towels and fewer wash cloths. All we brought was beach towels because we thought we would have plenty. The home was clean and ready to move in. There were some dripping faucets. The kitchen would not turn off. The maintenance man was very nice, highly recommend, and had it replaced quickly. I would recommend this property or rent again. Overall I would rate a 4 star. Thanks for providing a great place for vacations.

Wonderful time

We had a wonderful time with extended family in your home. We would recommend it to others with big families.♥️ There were a few minor issues with a bedroom door handle and the kitchen stove handle was loose but my husband is a handy man and fixed both. I'm not sure if there were any other issues but I can let you know. No one complained so I assume all was well. Great location and the beach was perfect. We were looking for a vacuum to sweep the rug in the living area but didn't find one so we swept the floors with the brooms that were there. Thank you for checking in on us. We're all home safe and hope the same for you and your family. :).

Had the best time!

My family and I stayed on the west side of this duplex over Labor Day weekend. We had the best time! The house was literally steps from the ocean. It was like we had the beach almost to our selves. My family of 11, which included a 14 month old baby, had plenty of room and then some. The double fridges were a great plus for us. The Fort Morgan area was so nice to be away from the busyness of the main area of Gulf Shores. We truly enjoyed our experience. Working with the folks from Bama Beach Houses was also a great experience. They really cared if the trip was all we wanted it to be. Thanks for a wonderful trip!

Great stay!

We enjoyed our stay at Fort Sun West. The house was just what we needed. We had 20 in our party and had plenty of room. House is on the beach which made watching the dolphins play from the house exciting!

Fort Morgan Family trip

We enjoyed our stay. The beach location is great. The beds were comfortable and house was clean. The management was quickly responsive to our needs for any repairs. The supplies are minimal as listed so bring extra supplies you want for your family. Overall a great experience!

5 weeks of "working from the beach" plus extended family time

Our family including 3 young adult/teens stayed for 5 weeks working and home schooling from this great beach location. We had family join us for 2 weeks of our stay including young children. The house was PLENTY big and worked well for remote work areas, sitting on the deck, very easy to get on and off the beach with the direct beach access - so when littles were "done" it was easy to return to the house. highlights include: watching dolphins daily sunrise AND sunsets - from the bedroom, deck or beach your choice kite flying walks on the beach great recommendations from the owners as to eating out, coffee, etc..... kitchen was well stocked with coffee maker, crock pot, blender, pots/pans, dishes etc The house was even better than the photos - lots of improvements

Was good overall

It seems the house wasn’t quite ready to be rented out. One of the bathrooms on the second floor did not have a shower head and the power kept tripping off in one of the other bedrooms. It was advertised as having a grill which was not true It was clean overall. The location was perfect. I would rent again

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

My wife's family have traveled to Gulf Shores and Orange Beach Alabama for decades. I became a tag along in the late 1990s, so a Gulf Shores guy by marriage. One thing led to another and we ended up a several large, family-friendly, large group friendly, places along the Gulf.

Why this one? BIG beach. White sands. Pristine. Lots of space to spread out. Great layout. Private pool (per side). And a great value since taxes much lower here!

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

If you want a lot of beach space, and the beach to be awesome white sands, this is the place. Fort Sun has enough room for a couple volleyball sets if you so desire, and you can leave them up out here because it is not subject to the GSOB rules that require you to bring everything back in each day. Tents anyone?! Come have fun in the sun!
