La cabane de Grandview à Lake Placid

Le Hut sur Grand View est notre maison loin de la maison et aimerait partager avec vous quand nous sommes loin. Nous sommes très central - à seulement 5 minutes de la rue Main à pied, à 2 minutes du parc et à seulement 20 minutes en voiture de Whiteface Mountain. L'arrêt Whiteface navette est à seulement 500 yards loin. La pharmacie et une épicerie sont à un jet de pierre de là en voiture. Malgré sa situation centrale, notre quartier a conservé son calme et la tranquillité.

Notre maison a deux chambres pour nos invités avec une salle de bain complète. Chaque chambre peut accueillir deux adultes. La salle de séjour qui a une cuisinière à gaz, un autre adulte peut dormir sur le canapé-lit. Toutes les chambres, salon et salle à manger est entièrement tapissées. Notre cuisine et salle à manger sont bien équipées si vous désirez prendre vos repas cuisinés à la maison. La véranda a été récemment rénové avec des murs de cèdre et brésiliens planchers en bois de cerisier.

Que vous soyez un sportif d'hiver passionné, golfeur ou ironman (nous sommes à seulement 5 minutes à pied de la ligne de départ de l'Ironman), tout votre équipement de sport peut être stocké en toute sécurité et en toute sécurité dans le premier étage de la maison, dont l'entrée sert également le vestiaire. La machine à laver et sèche-linge sont situés au premier étage ainsi (au niveau du garage). Le premier étage se connecte facilement au garage 1 voiture couverte. Ceci est parfait pour garder votre véhicule en dehors de pluie ou de neige au cours de ces jours désagréables. Dans le cas où vous avez plus d'un véhicule dans votre parti, notre propriété a des places de stationnement supplémentaires juste en face de la maison qui peut accueillir 2 véhicules.

Nous avons une maison modeste avec tous les conforts de la maison et nous sommes sûrs que vous allez adorer!

We had a wonderful time in the house. Marion was, from the beginning, very accessible and prompt to answer any question, and accommodate our requests. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. It was a great experience and a lovely stay.

The location cannot be beat. The hut on Grandview is centrally located and was an excellent home for the long weekend in Lake Placid.

Great find!

Everything about this house was perfect! Great location, easy walk to town. Extremely clean, very comfortable layout, great kitchen for cooking and the beds were very comfortable. The basement was a great place to store all the winter gear and the heated garage was a bonus. Marion was a pleasure to deal with. We will definitely return next winter!

Great star in this Lively house

Everything is perfect... the kitchen very well equipped for cooking, nice spaces and very comfortable especially with the gaz firepit... The sun room was great and confortable as well, and warm enough even with the amount of snow.. We walked to city center very easily... The owners have organized everything into the house ...perfectly done.. we hope to come back very soon....

Location!!!

Exactly as advertised, this home is well-kept, a short (albeit hilly) walk to the Village and perfect for a small family. You can tell the owners stay here often (the kitchen was well stocked with supplies), the home was clean and we LOVE the screened in porch. That was my favorite part of the whole house! Traveled with 2 kids (4 and 10 months) and my husband. Marion was a lovely host who was very responsive. We loved our stay and would highly recommend.

Great winter vacation

We much enjoyed our stay at this property. The communication with the owner of the house was very easy. The house was very clean and nicely warm and cozy when we arrived. The house had everything what we needed for our stay. The sun room was my preferred place to rest and have tea while watching the snow fall. We felt very comfortable at this property and would definitely recommend.

Perfect snow family vacation

We had a wonderful time in Marion’s hut. The place is cosy, well appointed beds are comfortable and the linens are soft! The foosball table in the basement was a plus for kids fun. Marion was warm and accessible. We loved lake placid and skies, snowshoes, skates and breathes fresh mountain air. We will be back very soon!

Spotless convenient and quaint!

We enjoyed our stay here for the long holiday weekend. The property was absolutely spotless, check in and out was a breeze and we were walking distance to main st lake placid! We had a full kitchen to cook in and definitely made use of it when wait times at all local restaurants were soul crushingly long (even for lunch!). I enjoyed the homey mountain decor and the beautiful sunroom. Did I mention it was so clean you could eat off the floor? I slept better knowing Marion's place is well taken care of. Our host was friendly and very responsive. Thank you so much!

Great house, great location, wonderful trip

The Hut was a great way to enjoy a long weekend in Lake Placid. It is comfortable, charming, and nicely appointed. We all enjoyed the sunroom and backyard. It’s just minutes from downtown, which makes walking for meals or shopping easy. Centrally located so you can be in the high peaks, whiteface, or Saranac Lake in 15 or 20 minutes. The gas powered fireplace/stove was great for cool evenings. I would highly recommend the Hut for a great time in Lake Placid.

A great get-away in lake placid

We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to people. We liked its location so we could walk to the downtown area of lake placid. The house is not huge but provided us with everything we needed. It has a fully equipped kitchen, a formal dining room, and a sunroom. We felt very relaxed during our stay.

Comfortable and convenient

“The Hut” was a great home base for a long summer weekend in Lake Placid! It’s comfortably furnished and conveniently located, and everything matched the listing. We particularly loved the sunroom and having the option to grill. We would definitely stay here again next time we’re in the area!

Lake Placid stay over 4th July

This house was lovely, we stayed 3 nights as part of a tour round the area. We’re from the UK and wanted to experience 4th July somewhere special, which this stay achieved! There were 4 of us, 2 adults plus 2 older teens. Being able to walk to the Main Street from the house was great as it saved us trying to find parking spots. Over our short stay, we swam from the public beach at Lake Placid, watched the 4th July celebrations (a parade, a symphonetta at Mids Park and fireworks over the lake) plus we drove out to Cascade Lakes and really enjoyed wild swimming there, with stunning scenery around us. The house was perfect for us, and well stocked with DVDs too (our son loved watching a film each evening lying on the sofa bed in the living room!). The house had a great layout and the sunroom at the back was great to relax in with the windows open. The fans in all rooms kept the air moving even though it was hot weather. I’d highly recommend this house for a holiday stay.

We had a great time at the Hut. Fantastic location, comfortable house. Great, fully stocked kitchen. We loved hanging out in the sunroom, it was nice and breezy. The only downside was the fact that there was no air conditioning, but there were only two nights where we felt uncomfortably hot. Otherwise the fans and having the windows open kept us cool. I really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay again!

Great Stay!

Nice place to stay for the new Ironman Lake Placid 70.3. Convenient to the finish line, close to town. Comfortable place to stay. Owners were easy to work with. Will stay again some day!

Location was excellent. Quiet, family neighborhood. Only several streets/minutes walk to Main Street restaurants and shopping. Easy access to roads to activities. House was very clean and bedrooms/living room/sunroom very comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking breakfasts and dinners. Liked option of parking in garage overnight.

The perfect place for our racing vacation

My family and I stayed at the Hut on Grand View for a Vacation that led into my racing the Ironman Lake Placid. Marion was awesome throughout the whole process, from initial contact, all the way through our leaving the house. The house is in a great location, and we were able to walk to most everything we did. The kids really enjoyed it. The house was clean, very well appointed, and comfortable. We had more than enough space and enjoyed the backyard and the especially nice sunroom on the back of the house. I highly recommend this property for a family vacation or anyone who wants to enjoy Lake Placid and all it has to offer!

Great location in Lake Placid

My family and I stayed for a long weekend and enjoyed the house on Grand View. The location is great, just up the hill behind Main Street. Just a quick note, the hill is not a joke and is pretty steep, but we knew that coming in and it wasn't an issue for any of us. The house was well set up and had everything we needed. I particularly enjoyed the sun room on the back of the house for relaxing after a day of hiking in the High Peaks.
