The chapel has been architect designed to retain the character of the former 19th C methodist chapel. The bedrooms are lined with timber from the old pews. The ground floor is polished concrete with some rugs and the walls are of raw pink plaster. There is accommodation for 7 people, 2 enclosed double bedrooms and 2 sleeping areas on first floor mezzanine. The mezzanine areas are visually separated but acoustically open to the main chapel living space.
The nearest village is Aberffraw with parking for the beach and The Crown pub that serves food. The Bodorgan rail station is 2 miles away and the mainline trains run to Birmingham Chester and London.
We had a lovely time. The chapel was beautifully decorated, tidy and a perfect space to be with friends. Great location and very thoughtful, responsive hosts - they even left us a fresh loaf of bread and wine to celebrate!
What a beautiful surprising find, we loved every minute of our stay here. Comfortable with room for everyone to move. Everything you could need for a holiday, winter or summer but bring slippers for those cold mornings! The Chapel is prettily decorated, with new bathrooms with a great shower and a big fireplace in the open plan lounge for long evenings. There are walks or cycle rides on your doorstep and a lovely little tearoom in Aberffraw for breakfast! Everything else is within easy driving distance and the local pub does a good meal. Definitely a good place if youâre looking for some quiet in lovely surroundings, would highly recommend this converted Chapel. Neil kept in touch and helped with any issues we had, the 4G was brilliant and withstood a 15 year oldâs demands. Could have stayed longer.
