Heart of Marietta, The modern house located in Marietta town.
This house is fully equipped, comfortable and spacious, perfect for a big family. There is a big kitchen where you can cook as you please. Youâll find a trampoline, fire pit BBQ grill and large back yard.
Stayed in house for my granddaughterâs wedding in Marietta. Outside yard was run down. Grill was unusable. No hot tub. The steps to second floor were difficult to manuver for older members especially when carrying luggage. Overall it was ok especially since it was convenient to the wedding venue.
Clean and spacious and comfortable for our whole family. Great town of Marietta with eateries, rail trail and room for kids to play. Large rooms and TVs everywhere. Owner attentive to a few things we needed. We will recommend!!
Owner didnât pay electric bill so no power. Owner didnât respond to any texts, phone calls or emails. Spent over an hour on phone with VRBO. Said we would get refund. Two weeks later we are still battling it out with Vrbo to get refund. Had to get credit card company involved to dispute charge. Overall a bad experience with the property owner and vrbo. Still no refund
We were in for a competition at Spooky Nook. This house was great. It was a good location, less than 15 minute drive. Marietta is super cute! There was plenty of room and a great space for adults and kids! Everything was marked and easy to find. We are planning on staying again.

Our stay
Home was nice. First day we got there house was freezing. We turned on the thermostats and waited by the end of night house was still freezing. I messaged host he stated he would have to send someone to turn heat on did usually turn heat on until 10/1 but itâs been 50 degrees all weekend the house was cold. After the heat got turned on my daughter and mom got bit up by something looked like bed bugs. They are still completely covered in bumps and some are turning into blisters from scratching. We left the hole immediately ending my stay at the property early. I would not recommend this place to anyone he has some type of insect infestation. There was also traps in most of the corners of the house. And when we open the closet with the washer and dryer was stored there was a bomb can that was left behind after bombing the place. He needs to have this place exterminated asap!!!
Stayed here with another family and our kids. Lots of room for our group of 9. The kids loved the trampoline and access to the trail right across the street. Check in was a little confusing, we had trouble finding the key box, but the manager was great and replied very quickly when contacted.
I wish this review matched the others found on this listing but unfortunately our stay was riddled with problems. From start to finish anything that we needed I had to reach out to the ownerâŠ.from asking where the key was to finding out the wifi password. There was no information about the house provided including checkout.(My sisters VRBO down the street had a binder with useful information in it.)
We were missing top sheets, pillows and towels. Iâm fully aware this isnât a hotel but when the listing says bedding and towels are provided then itâs reasonable to expect to have enough for the number of people on the reservation. The only pillows in the room with two beds were decorative shams. The owner didnât know what shams were and didnât understand why they couldnât be used as pillows. Sham covers are rarely washed as theyâre decorative and made of different material than pillowcases. They arenât designed to be used as sleeping pillows. In the attic room are two mattresses on the floor that still have the plastic on them. This causes the bed to make noises when you move due to the plastic. These beds only had bottom sheets and no top sheet. Also the dispensers in the showers were missing product
Perhaps the biggest thing to be aware of are the super steep stairs. Itâs hard to see just how steep they are in the pictures but they are very steep and the banister only goes half way up. Iâm not sure how they are ADA compliant without having a railing all the way to the top.
Every year we take a family vacation as a party of 9. This year we decided to go to Pennsylvania. We stayed in this house for one week. We were very close to all Hershey park events and activities that we wanted to see.The house was cozy and comfortable for our family of 9.The only reason we did not give it 5 stars is because we didn't feel the cleanliness of items such as the bathroom shower drain (mold and buildup) and the pots and pans that we use to cook with was up to 5 star standards. We also were only given 6 towels in a house that is supposed to fit 10. The upstairs attic is a great place for kids but it should be noted that those are blow up beds only.It is rather hot in there so the children decided to sleep in another bedroom which was fine because there is plenty of room.We also felt that both sets of stairs leading to upstairs and the attic was extremely steep with out a railing on tne top part of stepa and no safety wall or railing in the attic near the steps. Not ideal for young children. The house door frames were also not fully sealed so mosquitos were frequently inside. We did have a problem with the sink not draining and the owner was very quick to respond and send a plumber. The water pressure in the showers were less than desirable and you cannot adjust the temperature in the master shower. All in all, it is a decent house and within 30 minutes to most attractions.
The house was ideal for our family to reunite as we prepared for our son's wedding. The young adults loved the fire pit and the patio table. The older folks enjoyed the spacious indoor seating arrangements. There were plenty of beds and bathrooms for everyone to feel comfortable. We enjoyed the whirlpool bathtub and the different sprayer options with the shower! The washer and dryer had every setting imaginable, and there were plenty of items to work with in the kitchen. The iron came in handy since there were many people traveling long distances. Overall it was a wonderful place to stay and we all want to return someday!
We, a couple team parents and basketball players, stayed here for a trip. It was convenient and easy in/out.
Only difference notes from listing, is to clarify the queens in the attic are inflatables
Would stay again.
Homeâs recent high end updates are as pictured. Large TVs in each bedroom if needed. It was nice to have the half bath on the first floor. The River Walk trail and a park is just across the street. Enjoyed taking walks along the trail. Working electric heat with individual thermostats in each room. This home will have a bright future.
The house was clean, drawers were labeled in the kitchen and it gave an overall nice appearance with the updated bathrooms . Easily accommodated 6 adults. The 4th bedroom was tucked up in the attic better suited for children rather than adults. The top of the stairs could use a handrail of some type. Would we rent again, yes.
This home was just ten minutes from the Cameron Estate in Mt Joy, where we attended a wedding and is located right on the River Walk bike trail. We didnât bring bikes, but walked on the path every day. We walked on the bike path to the Susquehanna River and to the neighboring town of Columbia. Thereâs a small museum close by that is open when the flag is out - usually one weekend day, that gave us wonderful information on the history of the area. We also enjoyed walking along our road in this historic town
We highly recommend eating at The Railroad House Inn. Be sure to make reservations during the weekend.
This newly listed home still has some bugs to work out. We couldnât get the heat to turn on in the mornings in late September. Hopefully it will be working soon.
First time my family and I stayed at a private property in PA. Impressed with space, cleanliness and peaceful area. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone! Thank you Mario for everything!
Getting in was a hassle because Mario had an emergency so we couldnât get in touch with him..we got in around 8pm. House is beautiful neat and just like pictures. We enjoyed our stay
We had a family reunion with my sons and 4 grandchildren. We loved morning coffee on the deck, listening to the birds. The kids loved the trampoline, swing and running barefoot in the backyard. Plenty of space and a fully equipped kitchen to feed the crew. We loved the hiking trails nearby. A visit to Mulberry Thrill for
ice cream was a favorite highlight! Mario answered our questions promptly.
