This great updated family home on the Crystal River is brand new to rentals!
When you walk through the door, you will feel right at home with a large fully equipped kitchen, living room with fireplace, 5 bedrooms, 4 baths, dining room, a large porch with a game table and a gathering table, lots of decking and a lower level game room with air hockey and darts.
There are 2 junior kayaks and 3 regular sized kayaks, beach chairs and beach towels.

Bikes, outside/ inside games and strollers are available for your use.

This beautiful home sits on the Crystal River, located one mile from the village of Glen Arbor. Lake Michigan public beach access at the end of Bay Lane, is only 1/4 mile away.

Amenities include; 2 refrigerators, central air, wifi, 3 TV’s, junior bed and pack-n-play.

Entire main floor is handicap accessible.

Fire pit and gas grill.

There are bunkbeds located off the game room that sleeps 4.

House will sleep a total of 14 guests.

Summer rentals run Sunday-Sunday.

Wonderful

I’ve not stayed in such a well stocked home before. It was just what are family needed and a great location close on town and close to the beach. We hope to visit again when the weather is warmer to enjoy the river as well.

Summer Fun in Glen Arbor

We had a wonderful week together with our 3 adult children, their spouses and our 4 grandchildren, ages 3-7. The house is spacious and comfortable and is supplied with everything that we could want or think of, for meal prep and for playtime. We enjoyed s'mores around the firepit, tubing down the Crystal River, and short walks to the beautiful sandy beaches of Lake Michigan or into Glen Arbor. We all LOVED it!

Great Location

There is so much to love about this property. It was great being right on the river but also so close to the beach. The house was well stocked, very comfortable with plenty of room for us all! Cannot wait to stay again!

This property is ideal for a three generation family vacation. Our grandchildren loved the lower level bunk room and game room. The common areas were great for all-in time together. The adult bedrooms were spacious, very comfortable and so well appointed. There were out-of-way spaces for those who needed to attend to work commitments or just wanted a quiet spot to read a book. The amenities were exceptional throughout. Charlotte’s attention to details is unsurpassed. Being right on the river was important to us and the boys spent many hours fishing and drifting. Access to bikes, and water toys was a real plus. We had an amazing week at a perfect home. Thank you, Charlotte. Hope to be back next year.

Great family vacation

We had a fantastic stay at the Crystal Riverfront property! We enjoyed kayaking and floating in the river, going to the beach for playing in the sand and watching sunsets, exploring the hiking and biking trails, eating at delicious restaurants nearby and just relaxing in this spacious house and enjoying the fire pit at night. The house was very comfortable and well equipped with kitchen supplies, games and toys, outdoor equipment and bikes. We would enjoy coming here again!

Family Vacation in Glen Arbor

The house is in a remote yet 'close to everything' location. It's quiet & serene but only a 5-minute drive into town. We walked to the beach every day (under 10 minute walk) and also enjoyed exploring by kayak on the Crystal River just outside in the backyard. The home has everything you need - plenty of space, games, supplies. The garage is very stocked with treasures for the kids. The decor is dated but it adds to the charm.

Great Family Fun

The property is truly amazing and was the perfect place for our large family of 7! The property lives much larger than advertised with so many spaces inside and outside to enjoy. The Crystal River access was great and the kayaks being readily accessible was a huge bonus for the kids. Smore's at night, air hockey tournaments in the basement, wiffle ball in the front yard and being surrounded by nature was a real treat.

Great for Families!

We had small children in our group that loved playing in the river! We caught frogs, snakes, turtles, crayfish... entertainment for all! The house was more than enough space to accommodate four families and the kids loved playing with the toys at the house. The location couldn't have been better - short walk/bike to lake MI and of course, riverfront. Charlotte was communicative and answered all of our questions promptly. We would stay again in a heartbeat!

Wonderful place for family gathering

Comfortable, spacious, clean home set in a forest beside a river. Kitchen and bathrooms are very well supplied. It was ideal for our family gathering of 3 generations from various states. There was something of interest for every age group. The kids loved the game room with hockey table and kayaking or floating on the river. There are several sitting areas inside and out to relax. It's close to town and many other places of interest to hike, bike, run along the beach, kayak, climb dunes, tour wineries. Remarkable!

A Ture Treasure

We were blown away by everything about the River House. The home is beautiful with ample space for all 12 of us to enjoy. We loved all the sitting areas inside and outside, being right on the beautiful Crystal River, being able to walk to where we could tube, being able to walk to Lake Michigan, and being close to a lot of local attractions. Everything you could possible want (kitchen items, tubes, bicycles, helmets, life jackets, games) were provide. It felt like we were staying at our family home. River House is an amazing place and a true treasure.

Enjoyed Immensely

What a great property for a large group. The pictures did not do it justice, beautiful setting, large areas for the combination of families and age groups to gather. We have stayed at several rentals and this one was the best furnished of any. Bikes, water toys, kayaks, games, firewood and the list goes on. This was the first place we stayed that the family voted it was one to return to. Charlotte was great to work with and we enjoyed our texting with her. Enjoyed our time "immensely"

Wonderful vacation house!

We really enjoyed our stay in the Riverhouse Retreat in Glen Arbor. We had perfect weather - no rain and mid to upper 70s for the entire week. The house was very clean and provided everything we needed for our stay. We especially enjoyed kayaking right from the dock on the property. It was a great location for things in Glen Arbor, Sleeping Bear Dunes, and had an easy, quick walk to Lake Michigan. We were very pleased that the house was even better and more spacious than what we could tell from the online photos. We loved the outside seating areas for lunch picnics and enjoyed several bonfires. We loved working with the property owner/manager. Would highly recommend this vacation home!

Simply Incredible

It is all so wonderful it’s difficult to decide where to begin with this property! We had ages 3 to 73 in this house and everyone loved it and found it worked well for them. I’ll start with the outdoor spaces. Oh my word! The decks overlooking the crystal river where perfect for quiet cups of coffee in the morning soaking up the sounds of nature as well as giggly splashy antics in the warm sunny afternoons. Our small kids loved trying to catch mini trout with their hands (never got close), wading up stream and floating down over and over again. The older kids loved getting the hang of the kids kayaks and exploring a little further up and down river. Parents loved sitting on the dock with their toes in the water and plopping a beach chair right in the shallows for height of relaxation. The fire pit in the front of the house was perfect for a family campfire roasting marshmallows. There were lots of chairs, benches, firewood, and roasting tongs for the whole family. The ramps into and out of the house where ideal for grandparents to be able to really take in the outdoor activities without worrying about stairs. The mesh retractable gate on the back deck allowed little ones some freedom to play outside without fearing they’d sneak out to the water. Not sure how the homeowners have done it but we didn’t come across much poison ivy at all. The walk to the beach took us 10 minutes. We loved spending a few hours on the beach and then having a quick dip in the river to cool off.

Great spot for two families to enjoy Glen Arbor

This house was great for our two families. Plenty of spaces to relax, play games and enjoy the river. The house is well-stocked (kitchen could use some sharp knives, especially a cerated knife for bread), nice towels/linens provided. Our only issues were with the washing machine which is being addressed and the inconsistency of the A/C on different levels of the house (but we realize that A/C isn't always available in Glen Arbor rentals so we aren't complaining that much!). The location is wonderful - can walk to the beach and to town. We really loved the river-vibe and access as well as use of the kayaks and the nice dock they've put in at the river. Bikes in garage weren't really suitable for our group but if you had young kids they'd be great to be able to use. The fire pit up front is awesome but our favorite features are the sleeping porch and seating/tables along the river. Great rental - would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Glen Arbor home for our multi-family vacation

We had a great time in this house. The river behind the house is very relaxing and the kids went straight there as soon as we arrived. There's a path through the woods nearby that gets you to the beach in under 5min. The location is very close to everything but it's super quiet at night. I walked downtown more than once, though there's no sidewalk or much of a bike lane on M-22. We had trouble getting the temperature in the house to what everyone wanted, the upstairs always was warm and the basement was very cool. I would stay here again as there are plenty of rooms and bathrooms for our three families.

Glen Arbor at its best!

Cleanest place we've ever stayed and couldn't be more convenient and welcoming: kayaks, bicycles, beach, clear stream. Fully equipped kitchen and games for all. Lots of space and opportunities for fun and ease of living. We loved it!
