Villa Miriam with private pool/Jet pool-near Dubrovnik

LOCATION

We are just far enough away from the crowds, located over the border into the quieter Herzegovina region of BOSNIA. (New faster border channels were completed in December 2019).

Villa Miriam is just a 7 minute drive from the beautiful beaches of Srebreno and Milini and the fabulous jewel of the Adriatic, the city of Dubrovnik. The historic city dates back to the 7th Century with its prominent surrounding walls being a highlight for visitors. The walls have been a popular filming location for the fictional city of “King’s Landing” in the television series, “Game of Thrones”.

Our local, 13th century, walled town of Trebinje is a historic delight to explore. The piazzas and cafe bars nestled under the great “Platani” trees are a great place to people watch and enjoy a coffee or ice cream.

There is a newly opened Water Park and in the evening “Vukoje” winery, with a rooftop terrace and restaurant offers diners great views over the town and river Trebisnjica. The town has something for everyone.

Further afield in Bosnia, Mostar and Kravice waterfalls are a fun day out or why not travel further afield to the Fjords of Kotor in Montenegro.

Due to our location and no public transport, car rental is essential.

THE SPACE

Villa Miriam is a part of the small family resort and proudly commands views across the pool, over the mountains and the valley to the Adriatic Sea. It provides a quiet and comfortable ambience for those who seek some quality time with friends and family.

Beautiful mountain and sea views are best enjoyed from the impressive pool (9m x 4m) or Jet pool and extensive terraces with areas to relax on the sun loungers or enjoy pre-dinner drinks at the outdoor lounge area. BBQ and dine alfresco at the covered marble topped table and if you are worried about missing a sporting event there is a TV outdoors, to make sure this doesn’t happen! This area is an outdoor room with a ‘view’ and is designed with your spiritual relaxation in mind!

Villa Miriam’s modern design compliments the simply white washed walls and air-conditioned open planned interior. Furnishings are contemporary in style with local hand crafted furniture incorporated into the villa throughout. The lounge, overlooking the pool has comfortable seating with a separate TV area with a sofa & coffee table. There is a further guest bathroom downstairs and separate laundry facilities are available.

Fully fitted kitchen includes a dishwasher, fridge/freezer and most importantly a wine fridge. An indoor dining table and crockery is provided to cater for all your dining requirements and modern day living.

Upstairs the bedrooms sleep 6 comfortably with quality bed linens. There are 2 large King-size bedrooms with en suite bathrooms and a further King-size bedroom with an adjacent bathroom. All the rooms open onto the balcony & have a wall mounted TV, built in wardrobes, air-conditioning & a view over the pool and terraces. Televisions upstairs in Villa Miriam are primarily for younger guests to be able to play PlayStation or similar games on, whilst the TV in the lounge is able to receive world wide stations.

Pool/Jet pool heating is included in the cooler months but in July and August it can be offered at £15 per day. Please note the pool will not be filled from the end of November until the beginning of April, as it is not possible to heat in the winter months unless requested.

Villa Miriam is part of an ongoing building development, so light work may be undertaken on properties in the vicinity.

GUEST ACCESS

The manager will be there to meet and greet you. However, for the late arrivals, a key safe is available, with code and contact numbers given after booking.

We have also designed a brochure that is updated annually, tantalizing you with ideas of places to visit, complete with maps and directions! Places that are a bit off the beaten track and that the regular tourist won’t know about. We have ideas and tips for excursions, beaches and restaurants and sporting activities that have been recommended by the owner or previous guests. Ideal pool-side reading!

The owner will not be on the premises whilst guests are staying but there will be a property manager to meet and greet you and answer any enquiries.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE

All linen is included.

Bedding and towels changed on request or after a 1 week stay.

Bathroom and pool towels are provided but NOT beach towels.

Price includes service/cleaning charge. Plus we offer a complimentary 2 hour mini housekeeping service once per week, servicing the kitchen, lounge and bathrooms.
On request we can provide a full single pull out bed, large baby travel cot, high chair and baby car seat.

We can also offer a babysitting service, if staff is available. There is a small additional cost charged.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE

OUR ACCOMMODATION AND LOCATION IS NOT SUITABLE FOR THOSE WISHING TO PARTY!

We do not have any public transport and so are not suitable for non drivers.

NB : From the 15th September until the 15th June, there could be building work taking place and at times it could be heavy. We feel this is reflected in the asking rental price.
