Where Y'AT Uptown Shotgun Steps away from Magazine St
Easy access to historic Saint Charles streetcar lines (6 Blocks). Steps from Magazine eateries and boutiques (1 Block). Excellent Mardi Gras location (1 block from all Uptown Parades on Magazine). The house is also only a short walk to the world famous Tipitina's music venue. I am probably biased, but Uptown is the best neighborhood in NOLA. You won't be disappointed with the location. The Unit has an amazing Porch with a view.
This single shotgun upper-level unit looked and smelled clean. Gradually discovered there was no furniture except beds in the two bedrooms. The garbage disposal didnât work, and saw a large roach run across the bedroom floor.
First time staying in a shotgun house and loved it! We wanted to be near Magazine St. since itâs my Dadâs favorite street in NOLA, and didnât want to pay for the expensive hotel where we normally stay. We were just steps away from Magazine near the bars and other restaurants. It was nice to stay in a quiet neighborhood vs. loud Canal St. where we usually stay. I had to call the owner when I first got there to get in, and he was very accommodating and easygoing. We will remember this house for future visits!
Check-in and out was seemless. Location is great because it's close to groceries and walking distance to shops and local eateries. Safe, community feel, there is some construction and lots of improvements being made in the area. Everything you want serenity, security and prime location.
My husband and I stayed in the apartment for 6 nights to attend a wedding and to visit with friends and relatives who live in New Orleans. Charles was a good host and was easy to deal with and very responsive in answering our few questions. The location was terrific; one block off of Magazine, in a quiet neighborhood we felt safe in, and very close to many great places to eat. It was an ideal spot from which to explore Uptown New Orleans either by foot or car. The apartment was great. It was clean and modern, had high ceilings, the beds were comfy, and the shower and AC both worked well. We would gladly stay there again. While it had all the essentials, it would have benefited from some reading lights and bedside tables, a stronger internet signal, and youâll need to supply your own staples (salt, pepper, spices, etc.) for cooking. Note that there is a flight of outside stairs to get to the apartment (it is on the upper floor of a two story multi-unit building).
