Passez vos vacances cette année dans notre quatre chambres, quatre salles de bain et demi, Luxury Home. La maison comprend également deux chambres familiales, un grenier qui peut être utilisé comme une 5ème chambre, patio avec un grand bain à remous donnant sur le lac, véranda, et grande terrasse où vous pourrez profiter d'une vue sur le lac, piscine, terrain de golf, et les montagnes.

Tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour profiter de votre temps à Big Canoe est à votre disposition dans notre maison située sur le lac Disharoon. Vous pouvez vous réveiller au son des oies du Canada volant au-dessus et aller dormir en écoutant les chants des grenouilles. Notre maison a le chauffage central et de l'air ainsi que des ventilateurs de plafond dans toutes les chambres, mais parfois on n'a même pas besoin d'eux!

Situé dans les contreforts des pittoresques montagnes de Géorgie du Nord avec des altitudes dépassant 3000 pieds fixe la terre enchantée connu sous le nom Big Canoe. Soyez prêt à frein pour le cerf ou le dindon sauvage à tout tour donné de la route.

Vous pouvez marcher par la porte arrière de notre maison et descendre la colline vers le lac (plage), piscine, bord de l'eau, et un centre de fitness avec une piscine couverte. Pas besoin d'entrer dans la voiture si vous ne voulez pas.

Family Reunion Fun

We rented two homes overlooking the beach club for our large family. It was wonderful being able to walk down to the beach club. The home was very well appointed. Tom was very helpful before our stay - even letting us know that the local store had a refrigeration problem the day before our stay began.

Perfect Spot in Big Canoe

We’ve been to Big Canoe numerous times, and Almost Heaven is our favorite rental there. The house had everything we needed, and the hot tub was a fun bonus. The location so close to the Beach Club cannot be beat, especially when you have kids and are there in the summer. Tom is a fantastic host, responsive and kept us up to speed on everything we needed to know.

very quiet and tranquil location. We loved how it is tucked away and backs up to the lake. Very close to the trails and pool area. Host was very helpful and responsive to every question we had.

Rustic, homey, amazing location

Beautiful house perched in the woods above the lake; the view from the living room window is like a picture postcard. The steep path behind the house takes you to the little beach (for boating, wading, volleyball) and to the hiking trails. It was somehow both spacious and snug, with autumnal decor, and with more rooms than we could even take advantage of.

We enjoyed our extended family stay at this house, and another up the road. This house had plenty of sleeping area, was well clean and well maintained, great location where you could walk down to the beach club, and a communicative and helpful owner. Highly recommended.

Great home for a family of nine. this house was perfect for a family of nine with four bedrooms and a loft and 4 1/2 baths. The kitchen was well stocked and the pantry had a lot of what we needed. The owner was a great communicator and particularly helpful when we found out that we left a backpack in the house

Great stay with private owned facility

Great spot - loved the hot tub after pickleball session (yes really!) Tom was great to work with and very responsive. Much better than two other properties we worked with that had management companies. Properties were similar and I would pick working with Tom 100% over others.

Good family time despite the rain

We enjoyed a good day of hiking and swimming in the lake. While the $20/person swimming fee seemed a little steep, I appreciated that Tom let us know about it ahead of time. The house itself was great. When the weather got rainy we were able to have a comfortable day watching football and cooking meals in the kitchen. Have two living areas was nice with the size of our group.

80th Birthday Celebration

Tom was an Excellent host! The ease of the check-in and checkout process was extremely convenient. Almost Heaven is absolutely beautiful and well maintained. My family thoroughly enjoyed the stay and all the great amenities within the property. We celebrated my mother-in-law’s 80th birthday with immediate family. She loved the screened in porch and the grandkids loved the loft area with foosball table. Enough room for everyone to established their favorite area. 😍

Beautiful stay

We wanted a quick mini getaway from Chattanooga with our 10, 7 and twin 4month olds. We’ve never been to the area and were excited by the beach, pools and water rock slide in the backyard. The house itself was amazing and the owners went above and beyond the expected to make sure we were settled in. We were disappointed in the surprise fees associated with using the beach, pool and slide. At $20 per person per day, it dampened the excitement a little. Otherwise, it’s a great community to get away from the hectic life for a bit.

What a find! Beautiful property in a perfect location

Our stay at the O’Connors’ was nothing short of magical. The pictures don’t do this property justice - the house itself is lovelier than we had hoped, and its location right on Lake Disharoon will take your breath away. The beds are very comfortable, with lovely soft linens and plenty of pillows, and the multiple bathrooms are well-stocked with good quality toiletries. We had ten family members staying at the property as well as a few family members who live nearby visiting by day, and there was lots of room to spread out in the various common areas. Our host, Tom, was extremely welcoming and helpful throughout our stay and promptly answered any questions we may have had. Big Canoe is gorgeous, and the lake access at “Almost Heaven” is second to none. We made many happy memories and hope to return!

Fantastic getaway for a wedding at The Tate House

We really enjoyed our stay at Almost Heaven. The house was perfect in every way and very comfortable. Located very close to the swim club which was awesome for the kids and adults. The rockslide was worth the entrance fee! There are also 2 significant waterfalls that you can hike to and much more. The local IGA supermarket was well stocked and nearby. The house is located about 20 minutes from The Tate House where we attended a wedding. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back if we have a reason to. Thanks to Tom for checking on us and making sure we had everything we needed.

Tom, Judi and Stephanie - We were the first home owners in the Laurel Ridge section of Big Canoe 19 years ago. We live in metro Atlanta in the town of Smyrna Georgia, 65 miles from Big Canoe. Judi is a retired elementary school teacher and Tom was a Sr. Project manager working projects in 27 countries and retired March 2016. Stephanie is our lovely special needs daughter and along with working is very active in a number of sports in Special Olympics.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

This house will be like taking your own home on vacation with you. This house is not a small mountain cabin, It has room for the entire family to have their own space or bond together in the living room. From the lower level of the house it is only a 50 yard walk down the hill to the swim club and the start of the hiking trails through the woods. After a swim, hike or run in the woods you can relax in our 8 person hot tub.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

You can sit in the living room and have a view of the mountains, beach and the golf course. In the morning. In the evening you can see wild life outside the windows. Unlike many homes in the area our parking pad will accommodate 4 cars.
