Designer apartment facing the Historical BolhĂŁo Market
Beautifully curated apartment in the heart of Porto. Designed and decorated with attention to every detail and original artworks by local Portuguese artists. Perfect for two couples or small families. Both living room and bedroom are bright and have balconies overlooking the beautiful Bolhao Market. One bedroom with a queen-size bed and a couch bed that folds out to queen size. Perfectly located, near major attractions, restaurants and metro stations. This is a one-of-a-kind home!
This apartment was beautiful and perfectly located in central Porto! We easily walked to our reservations, tours, and sight seeing around the city. Maicon met with us on our arrival despite our delayed flight to show us how to use all the appliances. Even delicious custard tarts and port wine were provided. We appreciated being able to wash our clothes after a week of travel. Definitely check out the BolhĂŁo market, Porto cathedral, restaurants and shops nearby. This was a great stop for our travels in Portugal!
Clean well equipped property opposite the market with an excellent supermarket next door (think Waitrose for British readers) and lots of bakers within 300m. Relatively easy walking to main sites but the occasional bus was useful especially travelling back from the river front. Only negative was that the wardrobe in the bedroom was bait fragile!
Flat was beautiful and fully equipped - lacked nothing - and clean, clean, clean! Easy access to groceries, restaurants, shopping and public transportation. Anna, the host, took time to explain all details and a gracious host. If youâre sensitive to city noise, bring earplugs - not a problem for me and my husband. Would definitely stay there again!
My husband and I had a marvelous stay! The apartment is just as chic as the photos. The location canât be beat. We walked everywhere. We live in the quiet country but with the help of a sound machine, the street noise was no problem for sleeping. Highly recommend this apartment for your Porto adventure!
We loved this property! If there was a very good rating that is what we would have used. The apartment was very comfortable and well appointed. Location was perfect close to the Balhoa market, grocery store next door, and walking distance to everything you would want to see. The owner was very accessable when we had trouble gaining access upon arrival. The only real issue we had was with the air conditioning that never worked. We made due without it and never advised the owner about this since we were only there for a few days.We would defintely use this property again.
The overall stay at the property was very good. Great location which is walking distance to everything to see on the Porto side. Paid underground parking was only 4 minutes walking distance away. For the most part, the place had everything we needed with one exception, there was no clothes dryer. The listed stated there was a clothes dryer but our host Anna who checked us in said that there was no clothes dryer. The listing of amenities on the website needs to be updated to reflect this. This was one of the reasons we selected this place was for a clothes dryer. Also needs some maintenance work on the window shutters, the wood seems to have warped and they are difficult to close.
The apartment is located perfectly while staying in Porto. Yes, it is as charming as it looks in the photos full of original artwork and modern amenities. But, it's the neighborhood and it's proximity to the historic city center that really did it for us. Situated directly across from the Bolhoa Market, the apartment could not be more convenient. Great restaurants and attractions are all within walking distance.
Stylish apartment with comfort and amenities. Perfect for exploring city, easy walking distance to many sights, restaurants, shopping. Fun market across street with incredible selection of vendors⊠we loved the apartment and had a great time feeling so close to everything.
Absolutely Fabulous! Elegant, Bright and comfortable
The location and apartment is as fabulous as the art work. Owner went od his way to recommend places and adjust when my flight left me stranded. Place is spotless and has li welt inviting touches. Be sure to use the sound system built in; there is faint traffic noice being in a key location and finally found just putting some relaxind sleeping waves over the system worked perfectly. Place is very well equipped.
The apartment was beautifully decorated and well appointed. Everything I needed was available. Communication was easy and the owner was very prompt and informative in his responses. The only issue, and itâs probably to be expected on a major street, is that it was a bit noisy even with the windows closed. I use earplugs at night so those helped for sleeping. I would stay here again if I return to Porto.
Great location and clean apt, but the space was too tight for a family of 5. The description indicated that it would sleep 5 so thought it would comfortable for all 5. One bedroom could sleep 2 and the pull out sofa could sleep 2 so my son who was 10 slept on the floor with the sofa cushions. Def would be too tight for 5 adults. We had 3 kids ages 10-12 so made it work.
The apartment is lovely, comfortable and it is well equipped. At check in, we were met at the apartment by a fiend of the owner that explained how things worked and to answer any questions. The neighborhood is active and close to shopping and markets. Despite the listing indicating that parking is available; parking is VERY challenging. There is no parking on the street in front of the apartment and street parking in general was very rare. I ended up parking in a local garage that was several blocks away and parking added about $100 to the overall cost. My biggest issue is the stairs. When I inquired whether there was lift, the owner replied that "no, there was no lift, but the apartment was on the 1st floor with one flight of stairs." The "one flight" of stairs is actually 27 stairs. Since my spouse is somewhat mobility challenged, the stairs were quite a challenge. We enjoyed out stay in Porto and enjoyed the apartment. I would not recommend if you have a car or have mobility issues.
We really enjoyed our stay. The location is fantastic - with the great market across the street and in close proximity to all the sights. The host was super responsive when we had questions. Also, the noise which some mentioned is regular traffic noise on the cobblestone street (but no parties or early deliveries). If you are used to some city noise - itâs really not an issue. If you are used to perfect quiet of the countryside, then it might bother you somewhat.
The place was beautiful! Even nicer than the pictures and incredibly stylish.
Great space with all the amenities one can wish for. The location was perfect, just across the street from the newly opened Bolhao market and many other attractions.
One can tell the owners went out of their way to make the space feel both cozy and cool.
Strongly recommend!!!!
Booking process was easy, great contact for entry to property. Charming host representative. Accommodation is perfect for a city break. Every convenience and very well equipped apartment. Would certainly recommend a stay.
Comfortable apartment in convenient but noisy location
This apartment is lovely! Spacious, bright, well equipped, high tech appliances, easily managed steps, good Wifi and TV, comfortable bed, good sized bathroom, etc.. It is nicely out of the main tourist area but close to Sao Bente station and metro. The market is directly across the street, the grocery store (with wine)is right next door, pastry shops/cafes abound! The only downside- traffic noise on busy street. Even with windows and shutters closed good sleep was challenging.
We hardly could imagine a better apartment to stay in Porto. The landlord is very kind and helpful if you have any questions or problems. The kitchen and bathroom are very good fittet. If you want to get to know Porto better you donât have to use the train station during the whole stay which we really enjoyed.
