NEW on VRBO! Expansive wrap-around oceanfront balcony accessible from all rooms!
Newly listed on VRBO! Xanadu Sands has just undergone a complete, down to the studs remodel. Our professional designer took this bright, spacious, first floor oceanfront condo with great views of the beach and pool and turned it into a chic space unlike anything in NMB! The unique floor plan enables our guests to access the huge wrap-around balcony from the living room or either of the two bedrooms. Your private beach storage closet has chairs, toys and umbrellas.
Located on the "first floor" of Xanadu II, Xanadu Sands is elevated well above grade so you'll have great views of the pool, the beach and the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. The unit's southeast orientation provides the perfect venue for peaceful sunrises over the ocean and offers some much needed shade from the hot afternoon sun.
You will love the newly remodeled eat-in kitchen. It's a great place for gathering friends and family while cooking or enjoying a meal. Or relax in the spacious living room on the all new comfy furniture.
The primary bedroom has a king bed, walk-in closet, dedicated work desk and an en suite bath with double vanities and shower with rain head. The second bedroom has a king bed and is connected to a full bath that can also be accessed from the hallway.
This condo is over 1200 sq-ft. That's much larger than most three bedroom units on the Strand. Pro tip: you know all those narrow "shotgun" style condo listings you see in ~3 story low rise buildings? You know the ones with the tiny balconies? Those are "modular" buildings which means the units were built in a factory and assembled on site. Basically you are staying in a double-wide, placed next to and stacked on top of or underneath someone else's double wide. Xanadu II is a concrete mid-rise building with much wider rooms and huge balconies that just aren't possible with wood construction. What this means is you will be comfortable no matter where you choose to spend your time while vacationing, be it in the expansive living room, the large bedrooms or the oversized kitchen. There's even a laundry room with full size washer and dryer (not a cramped closet with a tiny stacked one piece laundry unit). Even the water heater is full size, so no running out of hot water when everyone showers after coming in from the beach.
Please note the following:
1) Xanadu Sands is a NO SMOKING, NO VAPING property for non-smoking/non-vaping guests. If you happen to have a smoker or vaper in your party, then with all due respect, we kindly ask that you look elsewhere.
2) The kitchen sink does not have a garbage disposer. This is by design. Ample trash bags are provided so you can dispose of food waste daily in the dumpster.
3) Pre-2023 reviews were from guests who visited prior to the remodel. Some features mentioned may not be available.
4) To ensure compliance with pet and capacity rules we have a doorbell camera that fully complies with VRBO policies.
5) We are a 5 star property. As such, generally we do not accept reservations from guests who have less than 5 star reviews. If you are new to VRBO and have no reviews you can expect A LOT of questions from us before we accept the reservation.

We are A.J. & Julie. We live in Charlotte but love spending time at the beach. Having our own place at the beach has been a dream and we want to share that dream with you!
Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?
We searched literally for years for just the right property. 103 Xanadu II is it! It just checked all the boxes. Of course it is oceanfront with a huge balcony. And it is in a beautiful, well maintained building. The location in Cherry Grove is near the very end of the of the northernmost beach in South Carolina. It is essentially a dead end, so there is much less traffic and noise compared to other parts of the Strand.
Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?
This is the only condo we have ever seen on the Strand that has oceanfront views and balcony access from not only the living room but also BOTH bedrooms! This floor plan is special and is unique to the '03's in Xanadu II. If it's not an "03" it's not this floor plan! And even if it is an "03" it won't have the awesome eat-in kitchen or the bunk room. Those are unique to 103!
