The space

Just off the historic Santa Fe Trail centrally located in Great Bend you'll find this old beauty with an extensive makeover. Soak up the character of this home built in 1929 that has been lovingly restored. You will enjoy the mix of old time charm and modern conveniences with original refinished hardwoods, custom cabinets, quartz countertops, stylish decor, water softener, and all the modern conveniences for a 5 star stay. It's a great marriage of classic and new! Our home is pet friendly so don't leave Fido behind! We are conveniently located between all of the fun things to do and between Cheyenne Bottoms and Quivira National Wildlife Refuge for all you hunters and bird watchers.

Guest access

Our home has three bedrooms and two baths along with the beautiful fully stocked kitchen, stylish living room, patio, along with a desk for office space. There is an extra fold up twin bed in case someone doesn't wish to share a bed. Our property is pet friendly, however the yard is not completely fenced, and open on the sides of the property.

Other things to note

Free parking on the street, in the two car garage or in the driveway behind the garage. Guest entrance is the front door with keypad. There is a rear entrances as well if you park in the garage. You will have to gain access to the property at the front door with the keyless entry pad.

Cozy Cottage

Perfect little place in a quiet neighborhood as a home base for our week long stay to visit old friends. Beautiful hard wood floors, tasteful and simple decor and plenty of little touches to make our stay feel special. Highly recommended! 😊

Very clean and cozy place in great neighborhood.

Enjoyed the house very much. We just stayed one night, stopping halfway to Colorado. The house had everything we needed, was very clean and the updates to the home were very nice, owners were awesome checking to make sure everything was up to par and if we needed anything else. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful property!

House was fantastic and had great communication with owner. Loved the backyard pergola area with chairs and table, which was a pleasant surprise. Only thing I would suggest is consider more like 6 adults.

In town for niece's wedding

It is a beautiful old house with great accommodations. It was a block from our nephew's house and a block from our niece's. Nice location. I had issues with the lock on the front door but pretty sure it was operator error!! It was exactly as promised. Very nice and served our purpose perfectly!!

Perfect place for my stay!

I rented this little house for a week when I was in from out of state for a funeral. It was exactly as described, and perfect for what I needed! The host was responsive and easy to communicate with. I had zero issues while there. There was a garage in back that I was able to park my car which was nice because it snowed one day. It was in a nice central location and the street had adorable houses on it! It was a quiet street and I felt safe the entire time. Would definitely stay here again.

Family Time

Came to town for a family reunion so four of us stayed at the house. Was very nice and very clean. Had a small hiccup with check in as the code had been changed from the listing but the owner was very responsive and it was quickly resolved. Great neighborhood and generous parking in back of the property. It has two nice rooms on the main floor with one shared bathroom so I am not sure if would sleep comfortably 8 as listed but it was very comfortable for four with the second bathroom in the basement. Would definitely stay there again.

Super Cozy!

Chad was gracious enough to let us film an interview at his home. The location matched the description on his profile perfectly. It's a charming and cozy spot in the Great Bend area, and the crew was quite pleased with it. Chad was also very accommodating and had excellent communication throughout. A big thank you to Chad for providing a great place to film!

Beautiful property needs some maintenance

Beautiful neighborhood, check in process a little messed up, but wonderful neighbors got us in. Need to fix the missing bricks in the front and back steps, very dangerous. We had our 93 year old mother with us, she had to be very careful. Great house, cleanliness was lacking, we enjoyed our stay, but has potential to be a 4 star property, with maintenance and better cleaning. The neighbors are absolutely wonderful!

We were passing through and only stayed one night. We had never stayed in or been to Great Bend, so we weren’t sure what to expect. This place did not disappoint! Tastefully updated, cute neighborhood, clean and comfortable beds!

Didn’t live up to the listing

We loved the decor, communication with owner, main floor rooms and space. The yard is not fenced in, so traveling with pets is rough. The sprinklers ran overnight creating an ice rink along the front walkway, drive and sidewalk. Tough to pack up with older parents and young kids with us. They left one large towel out in bathroom, letting us hunt in closets for the rest of the towels. No hangars in the closets for any clothes, but huge unused closets in each room. We had 3 kids stay in the basement where we found several moisture flies. We found some wet areas outside around the foundation, near the basement where the flies were inside. The 2 beds in the basement were cozy but linens looked dusty and unclean or like they’d been sitting there for a while. We swept up the floor around the beds in basement to make it cleaner for kids to sleep. Overall. the photos of the basement made it look more well kept. Not sure we’d stay here again.
