I booked the cabin for my boyfriendâs birthday weekend . We had a nice relaxing weekend , he loved the hot tub and being able to fish in the pond .. we grilled for dinner and ate on the patio ..
Communication & check was great with quick response. As communicated with the owner there were somethings that we thought needed to be addressed. The gas grill was not in the best condition and certainly needed a good cleaning as well as the oven. The A/C window in unit the kitchen was also very dirty. The location was a bit more out of the way than we wouldâve liked. The mattresses were great! If you have any issues with stairs please make note of the spiral staircase. The fire pit was nice and there are several spots to purchase good firewood on the way.
We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin and hot tub were clean. The kitchen was stocked with all the basics. It was a perfect place for us to come back to at the end of the day after our adventures.
We had a wonderful stay at Whispering Waters cabin. The cabin overlooked an adorable little pond with lots of frogs and birds to watch and was a short walk to a great lake for swimming. The location was very convenient to all of the amazing hiking in Hocking Hills. After a long day of hiking, it was so nice to relax on the deck and in the hot tub. The host was very responsive as well.
Checked in approx 5 pm and unloaded items, went out to the ponds (which are perfect lots of fish to catch including catfish, bluegills and bass), came back ate dinner, bed and in the morning ants were everywhere!!! Owners were immediately contacted and response back was "never had this problem" and if i would have let them know earlier they could have done something. Honestly didnt even think to check counters night before for ants and counters are a dark color so harder to see them. We had to throw food/snacks away due to the ants. Disappointing for sure. Not sure if anyone else had issues with ants since there is a note in the folder on site to only give a high reviews and discuss issues with owner. There also was a female pad on floor in bathroom as well as the air conditioner filter indicated it needed cleaned (so my husband cleaned it). Also it is very very hot inside so bring fans it takes awhile for the window units to cool things off. Overall the ants were a huge issue as we were constantly checking, killing and cleaning the counters and area by trash can. There were two ant traps, one on counter and one on floor by trash can as well. If there had been no ants i would have given this house a 5/5 (we could have dealt with the other issues ) but when the owner really didn't care just saying they should have been notified sooner (which we were thinking maybe someone would have come out to spray) we didn' want anyone else to be taken by surprise and have food ruined.
This was a fantastic get away for my wife and I's anniversary!
The cabin is very cute and on a nice piece of property. Its in a community and you have 2 different ponds to fish in (larger pond has more fish).
We enjoyed the hot tub. Quiet mornings on the patio, and the fishing.
It also gave us pretty quick access to hicking hills where we hiked for a full day.
Captain Rons Pirate Pizza was amazing with live music and incredible pizza/wings/ice cream!
My partner and I celebrated our 9 year anniversary here! The cabin was absolutely adorable with a large pond in the back yard! Super easy to get to and was very clean! A bit secluded in the sense of being near the attractions and trails but had a large pond to fish and swim nearby! Would 100% book again!
Upon arrival we were greeted with a handwritten note as well as a nicely laid out introduction and instructions for the house. The cabin was spotless and very accommodating with the furniture. We especially loved the bar seating in front of the kitchen, as we could interact while cooking and still be close by. The hot tub was divine and we spent a good bit just relaxing and enjoying the view. Would definitely book again!
The house was clean and easy to get to. The owner was prompt with communication. We had a snag do to weather and the owner made it right with no hesitation. The kids loved the hot tub, boats, and pond. After hiking we spent the evening fishing and soaking in the hot tub. I would definitely come back again. Thanks for a great time!!
My wife and I had a great two-night stay at Whispering Waters. Everything was clean, well prepared and comfortable. Weather and sunshine were on our side. Perfect spot away from everything, yet a quick drive to wineries, groceries in town and hikes. Bonus: finally got to watch the Beatles Get Back on Disney + đ
One tip: watch your use of the gas heater in the corner. It heats the upstairs primarily so be sure to shut it off before it gets too hot up there before bed.
My husband and I had a lovely weekend away at this property. The cabin was warm and inviting, and perfect for a cozy stay for two. Well maintained and clean, the property is off the beaten path a bit so weâd advise arriving in the daytime if you can. Weâd also recommend bringing your own bottled water for drinking as the tap water is a little funky smelling (I think itâs well water) but tasted fine. The kitchen allowed us to cook for ourselves but the owners left a manual with recommendations for dining about 20min away. Hocking Hills was only a 30min drive so we spent time at the park hiking. The star of the weekend was the hot tub. It worked wonderfully and was perfect for the first snow of the year. Highly recommend!
I planned a surprise romantic trip for my husband and I in the hocking hills area that included horseback riding , zip lining, and the winery . The cabin was a perfect place to retreat to in the evening after a long day of fun. We relaxed in the hot tub , made dinner on the grill . Took the boat out and caught a couple catfish. They had a series of dvds and we spent our evenings watching them u til we fell asleep in each others arms . The price was great and the property was defect for our special trip.

Owners were very easy to work with. Cabins too close together and we could hear the music from the other properties. Metal staircase up to master was too small to walk up if you are older. Hot tub was amazing.
The house was very cute, furnished, clean, and private. The boat that we were able to use with the rental was cool, didnât catch any fish but lots of frogs and tadpoles were all over. The place came with firewood for the fire pit and the hot tub was nice. About 30 minutes from all the hocking state parks, ash cave was beautiful and corkells hollow had an amazing waterfall. Definitely will be back and would rent from Beth, she was a fast response and the number provided answered first time to answer a question I had. No cell service but Wi-Fi was provided.
Everything was excellent with the exception of pond access to pond fishing , overgrowth was high. Other then that it was relaxing and we all enjoyed ourselves . Will be going back.
Overall, great stay! Kitchen has pretty much everything you need, the view over the water was nice, and there's lot of stuff to do in the area (as long as you're into the outdoors). Not much of living room here or indoor dining area, but we didn't come all this way to watch tv inside! We brought our own firewood, but some previous guests also left some of theirs so maybe check out the spot before you bring any firewood. there are two cabins nearby, but we still felt like our stay was private the whole time. Again, it was a cute, cozy, and just overall great stay while we got to "unplug" for the weekend.
