Very sweet, comfy, and perfectly located cottage in town. Owners could not have been nicer and more helpful, and I have nothing but great things to say about my 5 nights here.
Cottage is charming, quiet, well located and very well appointed. Our hostess was welcoming and friendly. She made sure that we had everything we needed to make our stay a pleasure.
The cottage is absolutely lovely. My teen son and I stayed while visiting Bowdoin. Itâs on a quiet street that is a quick walk to campus. The decor was beautiful while also being relaxed. It also was very clean and I appreciated that the sheets and towels were scent-free.Though the cottage is directly behind the hostâs home, it felt completely private. As for the host, Susan could not have been more helpful and welcoming. Communication was outstanding from my first inquiry before booking to when we left Brunswick. Highly recommend. I hope to return!
Had a great time at the cottage during parents weekend at Bowdoin. Perfect location walking distance to college and downtown. Comfortable accommodations and lovely hosts. Will be back!
We stayed at this adorable cottage during graduation weekend '24. It was so convenient to everything, and super quiet, well-appointed, clean and comfortable. It was perfect for our needs over the graduation weekend.
Wonderful hosts and property. Very peaceful neighborhood in great walking distance to town and college. Perfect cottage: very comfortable and nicely decorated. Highly recommend!
This was our first visit to Brunswick and we had a great time. The location was perfect for walking the Bowdoin College campus and the Maine Street area had many fun restaurants and stores.
We would definitely stay here again!! Great hosts and clean, comfortable cottage. They were very helpful with information and best places to visit while in the area.
Thanks for having us!
This apartment is an absolute delight. Susan makes you feel at home before you even arrive. She sent helpful information that simply made our stay extraordinary!
This cottage was a peaceful oasis⊠it lacked nothing we needed and provided additional benefits such as a delightful hostess and warm home baked muffins when it was time to leave..we highly recommend this cottage!!
I loved this space! Beautiful, clean, artsy-hippie vibe (in the best possible way), cultured space filled with a piano, comfy furnishings and bed, beautiful artwork, quality touches in the kitchen and all throughout. All of this and a kind, communicative host made for a lovely stay âșïž
We really enjoyed our stay in this comfortable cottage that is on a quiet street yet close to everything in Brunswick. The space is well equipped with everything you need to cook and rest comfortably. It fit our family of three very well. Susan, the host, was so accommodating and helpful. We appreciate her so much! We hope we can return soon.
We so enjoyed our stay in this lovely converted garage. The hosts were solicitous and friendly and the space open and well appointed. The location is perfect, just two blocks from the green, restaurants and the library. We'll be back!
This quiet getaway was exactly what my spouse and I needed after a few busy days working our way up the coast of Maine. The community is lovely, the cottage was delightful. Loved that there was a tv but it wasnât setup, it really allowed us to unplug and relax!
My spouse and I recently spent our Thanksgiving holidays in this little gem in the heart of downtown Brunswick. We were immediately made to feel welcome by Susan, and the houses felt like home to us. Thoughtful amenities were everywhere. There was a great reading selection - art, music, literature, vintage children's books. Best of all for me was the baby grand Steinway tucked away and ready to play.
So cozy and warm. We will be returning for sure. Carol & Peter
Even before we arrived, Susan made us feel welcome. She made checking in very low pressure and simple...we just walked in. At first glance, the cottage seemed quaint and peaceful. Inside, every item is attentively appointed and very tidy. Cleanliness is very important to us and the cottage was absolutely impeccable. We would definitely stay again if we are in the area and I highly recommend it as a comfortable, clean, peaceful, and beautiful rental property.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the quiet suite with newly remodeled, well-appointed kitchen and bath.
Who would have guessed this private oasis with its sky lights, vaulted ceiling, & wood- beams that compliment the clean white decor, could exist tucked on a tree-lined stret a couple blocks from Bowdin campus?!? We highly recomend with a 5-star rating from seasoned world travelers!
This was some of the best-used space of any rental-by-owner studio/apartment we've stayed at. Very nicely furnished and decorated, super clean. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was handy. The bed was comfortable and the sheets and pillows were nicer than we often encounter. I feel lucky to have found this place and would be happy to stay again any time. Highly recommend!
What a lovely cottage. Close to everything, but tucked away from the busy streets. Lovely landscaping around the property. Beautifully furnished. Comfy bed is always important & that it was. Nice facing sofas for chatting and chilling after a long day of hiking. Bookcase holds fascinating books. Kitchenette has all you need to make your stay comfortable. This was a Mother, Daughter trip and I was so pleased with the accommodations.
Owner is super friendly, and helpful. Very kind and just a genuine soul. We hope to visit again in the future.
We are a couple of art historians who have been fortunate to work and play in two wonderful places: Maine and the South of France, where we have been involved in an archaeological excavation on a medieval site for many years and have enjoyed teaching art history at the University of Maine for decades as well as run a sheep farm for 20 years. We both love the ocean, the small farms, the architectural and historical heritage and the generous and creative people of this region and have worked to help preserve the land and heritage here, and the vibrant and diverse communities around us.
After living on a salt-water farm outside town for many years, we moved into town so we could walk to places and enjoy the many cultural riches of the greater Brunswick area in retirement. We have a a delightful guest house and are happy to be able to offer guests many of the same benefits to being in Brunswick that we enjoy.
