Cabin was very clean and organized. All accommodations as described. Amazing setting on a beautiful lake. Plan on returning next year. A experience all around!
Nice place. All the basics for a guys fishing trip. Clean and comfortable. Some blackout shades on the east side would be nice as 5am sunrise shines bright. Bring your own soap or body wash and at least 150' of extension cord if charging boat batteries at the dock. We know the drill and would be back.
Once again this place was perfect, we stayed in this place for the third time, nice and quiet, and most of all this place is clean and had everything what you need for the stay, fishing was great, pikes, smallmouth bass, and walleyes, we can't wait to book this place again âș
Butternut Lake is a little slice of heaven. The house was clean, equipped, and plenty of space for our family. All my questions were quickly answered before or during the stay. We enjoyed fishing, canoeing and swimming daily. Great hiking and biking were also close by. We appreciated the fish cleaning station so we could enjoy our catch for dinner. Great quiet get away to unplug and enjoy the Northwoods.
This was a sligltly dated but clean and comfortable 3 bedroom lake house. All the basics we needed for a weekend fishing trip. We were very comfortablenand enjoyed the fire pit at night. If you're fishing and bringing a boat and want to leave it at the dock make sure to bring minimum 125' of extension cord to charge batteries.
Cabin was very clean. Although we have been coming to butternut for over 30 years, the family grows and more space is needed. This fit the bill perfectly!! Enjoyed the canoes and the surroundings! Thank you to Alana for prompt replyâs to all my questions. The sâmores were an extra touchđ.
Reservations and Communication with owner was excellent! Always quick to respond to our questions. Home was very clear, no clutter. Lake was crystal clear. Close enough to Eagle River & Three Lakes that if you needed something, it would be about 1 1/2 hour roundtrip. Remember you are in the National Forest. So, so many Loons on the lake! Heard them during the day and into the night. House had no A/C, dishwasher, outlets in bathrooms that worked. We managed just fine without! Plenty of room for up to 8 adults. We brought our boat and tied up once to pier, had minor damage due to waves of other boats. A boat lift would have been perfect, but not expected. Boat launch only 1/2 mile away and only $5/day to launch. Very quiet lake, peaceful!! Decided next time, might not even bring the boat. Sat in the water reading Patterson collection of boats or on the large deck overlooking the lake! Perfect vacation, didn't want it to end!!
This place was perfect, it had everything that you need, the fishing on that lake was awesome, got some big pikes and walleyes, can't say nothing bad about this place, love it, renting this place again for sure
My family & I had one of the greatest family vacations there. Great communication with the owner. Loved the amenities of the place. Had fun having the boat on the lake for fishing and water tubing. Had fun with the games and just relaxing inside during most evening & night times. Absolutely had a fantastic time, and everybody of all ages had fun! Thank you so much for the great stay & the memories that we all created there.
The clean, spacious homestead was the perfect cabin getaway for our family. We enjoyed fishing off of the dock, listening to loon calls, and evenings by the campfire. We can't wait to return!
All we kept saying was we never want to leave!
It was a little piece of paradise! Water, and woods the best of both worlds. We enjoyed every minute there, and may be back with other friends đ€
Nice open concept cottage. Clean accommodations tucked away in the national forest on crystal clear Butternut Lake. Close to the Eagle River Chain of Lakes. Caught some nice smallmouth right from the dock. Grandkids loved it.
