Séjour atypique et formidable
Juste en face du chateau, en plein centre ville. Appartement typique, ancien mais très confortable. Accueil chaleureux et très sympathique. Propriétaire très disponible. Très bien placé pour visiter le centre de Sintra mais aussi les alentours. Place de parking disponible gratuitement uniquement le soir après 20h, sinon impossible de se garer.

Great Location
We had a wonderful stay at this lovely apartment right in the middle of it all. There is a beautiful view of the palace from the apartment. The space was well equipped with everything that we needed. Please note that the apartment is up about 2.5 flights of stairs and there is not an elevator. The tourist office staff helped us carry our luggage up to the rental unit and provided good advice on transportation to the further sites.

Perfect Location
This lovely apartment is right in the center of Sintra, where you can walk (or catch the bus) to anywhere in town. You look out from the third floor onto the National Palace and plaza in front if it, which is full of life, yet when you close the windows, it's very quiet. It's beautifully furnished with art and pottery, comfortable and nicely provisioned with dishwasher, washer/dryer and starter coffee and condiments. The local contact met us, instructed us in the appliances, and made us feel welcome. A very nice find!

Best view in town
The property was very clean. Great location for all the palaces and fantastic view. If you plan to eat in you will need to bring groceries with you as there is no grocery store in the old town, nearest one is opposite the town hall in Sintra. We loved staying at this apartment, so beautifully set out and we would definitely stay again if we were in that area.

Zimmer mit Aussicht
Jeder, der den Filmtitel kennt, ahnt, dass es sich um einen traumhaften Ausblick handeln muss, oder? Mehr als alle Vorgänger braucht man also nicht zu sagen - außer: überwältigend und beneidenswert! Herr Erler half uns beim unkomplizierten Check-in; auch der Abschied funktionierte ganz einfach via Whatsapp. Wir waren mit dem Auto in Sintra, was eine echte Herausforderung ist, weil es - so nah am Palacio Nacional, keine kostenlosen Parkplätze gibt. Betonung auf: KEINE. Die Wohnung im Dachgeschoss ist über zwei Treppen zu erreichen (vorne raus ist das Niveau niedriger als am Hang, wo der Eingang in einer kleinen Travessa liegt), nicht viele Stufen, aber diese sind auch nicht ganz ohne. Wir liebten unser kleines Refugium und eroberten uns endlich einmal in aller Ausführlichkeit Sintra: Palacio Nacional, Palacio da Pena, Serra de Sintra und - absolutes Highlight für Romantiker und Pflanzenfreunde: Palacio e Parque Monserrat! Unten im Haus kann man sehr gut Portweinproben machen, fragen Sie nach Carlos; und zum Abendessen haben wir sehr die angenehme Atmosphäre des "Romaria de Baco" genossen, samt Küche und Keller. Wir kommen wieder! Danke, Frau Stapf (und Herr Erler) für diese Gelegenheit.

O apartamento é fantástico! Parece que voltámos atrás no tempo, enquadrando-se de forma magnifica na magia de Sintra. Localiza-se no centro de Sintra e tem uma vista maravilhosa para o Palácio Nacional. A decoração é espetacular e a cozinha está bem equipada, tendo inclusive uma máquina de café da nespresso. Adorámos a nossa estadia!

Beautiful view and comfortable.
We were in Sinatra during the month of January. Evenings and Mornings were very chillly; however, the bedrooms were warm and cozey. The apartment is very comfortable and well appointed. You have a clear view of the National Palace and the square in front of it. Easy walking distance to primary shopping, 15 minutes from the train station, feet away from the buses that take you to the major tourist sites. Management was very responsive to our needs and gave marvelous references for dining. Romania de Baco was a restrraunt next to the Tourist Information office that is superb with wonderful wine collection and superb wait staff. Management helped with taxi reservations and more. Take warm clothes, pj's in particular, for when the sun goes down but couldn't ask for a better location or more well appointed apartment with a view in the historic district of Sinatra. There are 35 narrow steps to get up the stairs to the apartment so not for individuals with mobility issues.

Great stay!
We appreciate the atmosphere, the decor and how sweet Christiane was to us even though we never got to meet her in person. She is a great host who thinks of everything in detail. She provides everything needed for a comfortable stay. For instance, she had detergent for laundry, washer/dryer. And it was a very nice surprise to find a bottle of welcoming Port wine. Beautiful views. The bed was so comfortable that it felt like sleeping on a cloud. Great stay!

Charmante Wohnung in perfekter Lage
Wir haben die 4 Tage in Casa Christiane sehr genossen. Die Begrüßung von Christiane Stapf war sehr herzlich; wir haben uns nicht wie zahlende Touristen, sondern wie Gäste gefühlt. Bereits vorher wurde schnell und ausführlich auf unsere Fragen geantwortet. Die Wohnung ist sehr schön und mit Liebe zum Detail passend zur Umgebung eingerichtet. Die Aussicht auf den Paco Real ist grandios! Er scheint zum Greifen nah! Die Ausstattung in der Küche ist gut. Nur mit der Dusche hatten wir kleinere Probleme. Das lag aber vielleicht an uns. Insegsamt ein wunderschöner unvergesslicher Aufenthalt!

Very central and lovely view of the palace
The apartment is very central to all things Sintra - it's right in the middle of the historic center, and right across the street from the Sintra Palace. It's also very close to the circuit buses that go to all the main attractions in the area. Full apartment is wonderful and although right in the main square which can be very loud during the day, it's actually quite peaceful at night. Christiane was very responsive to messages and Mr Erler, who handled the check in, was very kind and helpful in providing tips on what to do in the area. Highly recommend staying here!

Location and comfort!!
This is a excellent place to stay. Check in was easy by wonderful friendly people who made you feel right at home. They have a shop near by that was easy to pop in with questions. The establishment we stayed at was directly across from national palace so beautiful view and great location. Perfect place for a tourist location if you want to get out and do things. Beautiful town to stay in. We stayed a week and still could of been longer. Very busy village so if lots of people bother you then don't stay here. This was perfect for us. We loved all the activity right outside our door!! Thankyou for the cozy lovely homey place to stay that had everything we needed!! We would love to visit again.

Great View and location. Pretty, Large comfortable near everything.
Check in was easy, our host was very friendly. The apartment is in the top floor or the most central building in town. Loved the apartment and Sintra. We decided to see Lisbon from Sintra since we are so close to the train. Ideal spot for exploring.

Lovely Sintra
Excellent communications with Christiane (owner) via email from the onset. We were met by Mr Erler upon arrival. He is a warm and friendly individual and a pleasure to deal with. The apartment building is a short 15 minute walk from the train station and is directly across from the Sintra palace (the view from the living room balcony). This makes the area bustling and noisy with tourists during the day but a quiet and calm place by evening. There is easy access to the markets in the 'real' town and the attractions of the Palace of Sintra, Pena and the Castle of the Moors. (Go first thing to avoid the tourists! The apartment is located at the top of the building via stairs (no elevator) and is very clean and well appointed. It has a cosy family feel to it . No TV but excellent WiFi reception We would book this location again and would recommend it to others.

Zentraler geht es nicht - tolle Wohnung!
Wirklich eine sehr schöne Wohnung in bester Lage und nicht nur die Küche, sondern die ganze Wohnung, ist sehr gut und liebevoll ausgestattet. Die gesamte Abwicklung war unkompliziert und freundlich. Der Blick ist absolut beeindruckend, auch wenn tagsüber wirklich viele Touristen Sinatra "überfallen". Abends bzw. nachts ist es trotzdem schön ruhig. Wir können die Wohnung uneingeschränkt empfehlen und würden hier sofort wieder wohnen!

Gezellig ingericht appartement en perfecte locatie
Het appartement is midden in het historische centrum van Sintra, gelegen aan een straat met trappen. Eenmaal binnen moet je nog twee trappen op om het appartement te bereiken. De woonkamer, keuken, badkamer en slaapkamers zijn smaakvol ingericht. Je hebt een schitterend uitzicht op het Nationaal Paleis van Sintra. Kortom, je kunt je hier helemaal thuis voelen. Jammer dat de bedden een beetje smal zijn. Het is wel lastig om een parkeerplaats te vinden. Stad en omgeving hebben veel te bieden, prachtige paleizen, veel historische gebouwen en een mooi landschap.

A Perfect Gem
'Casa Christaine' is a wonderful apartment. We stayed for two weeks and felt totally relaxed staying in this character filled apartment. It was very clean, well maintained, comfortable beds, very nice style furnsihings, everything provided for for a perfect stay. Christaine was excellent to communicate with from the initial email and always very prompt and informative when replying. Burghard the caretaker was also excellent. He was always available if needed. The location of the apartment is fantastic. From the windows of the living room you can watch and listen to the many visitors to Sintra. Close the windows and it is so quiet and peaceful. We would highly recommend this apartment if visiting Sintra, however perhaps not suitable for young children or a person with mobility needs. There are two stairs to reach the apartment. There are many beaches in the Sintra area. Our favourite one was Sao Laurenco near Ribamar. Local restaurants serve very good food and large shopping centers are within a short drive. Casa Christiane is very good apartment to use as a base to explore the Sintra area.

Sehr schöne Wohnung in Sintra
Die Wohnung ist sehr schön und gemütlich. Außerdem super zentral. Alle Küchenutensilien sind vorhanden. Ganz toll ist auch die Spülmaschine. Es fehlt an nichts.Hervorzuheben ist die sehr nette Betreuung vor Ort. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Well-Appointed Flat in Historic Sintra
This apartment is so perfectly located, it would be hard to ask for a better spot. A gorgeous view of the National Palace from the sitting room was a fun way to start every day. The furnishings are charming and comfortable. Everything was very clean upon our arrival, and whenever we had a question about shopping or eating, the manager was very helpful and friendly. Recommended for families or friends traveling together, but not for disabled or elderly as there are are many stairs. Thanks so much to the owner and manager -Sintra is a beautiful place, and this flat made our visit even more beautiful.

Beautiful!
We had a wonderful time in this beautiful apartment. We felt so welcome when we arrived and loved our traditional Portuguese meal that was made for us on our first night. Sintra is a charming town and it was so nice to stay in a very clean, and tastefully decorated apartment with a beautiful view. Thank you to Christiane, Mr. Erler, and Filomena for making us feel so welcome and for being so helpful.

Sehr schöne Wohnung in einmaliger Lage
Sehr schöne Wohnung, wie die Bilder bereits zeigen, wirklich sehr zentral gelegen und mit allem ausgerüstet, was man so brauchen kann. Auch das Bad ist sehr schön, obwohl es auf den Bildern fehlt, sehr zur Beruhigung meiner Freundin, die sich deswegen Gedanken machte :) Wir waren diesmal ohne Auto in Portugal und sehr begeistert, sehr gute Anbindung. Auch der Kontakt und die Begrüßung in Sintra waren sehr sehr nett, obwohl wir reichlich spät erst eingetroffen sind. Man sollte sich nur bewusst sein, dass sich die Ferienwohnung in einem alten Haus befindet und das es da morgens, jedenfalls in einem der Schlafzimmer, schon mal lauter sein kann. Nachts jedoch wirklich ruhig. Wir kommen jederzeit gerne wieder und in der Umgebung von Sintra gibt es sicher auch noch vieles zu entdecken.

tolle Wohnung in super Lage
Wir haben uns in der Ferienwohnung sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Wohnung ist zwar nicht für kleine Kinder ausgelegt, es wurde aber alles so arrangiert, das wir eine entspannte Zeit verleben konnten. Vielen Dank für das Besorgen eines Kinderstuhls! Die Lage war super mit einem tollen Ausblick. Die Zeit hat nicht gereicht um alle Schlösser, Burgen und Klöster in der Nähe anzuschauen. In der Wohnung hat es uns an nichts gefehlt und die Einrichtung hat uns gut gefallen.

Sehr schöne Wohnung, zentral gelegen
Sehr schöne und gemütliche Wohnung in der wir uns alle wohl gefühlt haben. Die Lage ist hervorragend mit einem herrlichen Direktblick auf den Palacio Nacional. Alles wichtig und schöne kann zu Fuß erledigt werden und macht ein Auto überflüssig, selbst das Meer ist in drei Stunden zu Fuß zu erreichen. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Je m'appelle Christiane Stapf. Je suis née et j'ai grandi au Tyrol / Autriche. Depuis mon enfance j'ai eu l'occasion de passer mes vacances régulièrement à Sintra et c'est ainsi que cet endroit,de même que le Portugal en général, est devenu ma seconde patrie. J'habite à Vienne où je suis professeur. Je passe mes vacances, dans la mesure du possible, à Sintra.

On peut faire du shopping à Lisbonne dans des centres qui sont parmi les plus grands d' Europe. Entre Sintra et Estoril il y a assez de possibilités pour faire des courses. Pour les amateurs d´art, outre la proximité de Lisbonne, Sintra est un point de départ idéal pour découvrir au cours d´agréables excursions de journées, quelques- uns des plus importants endroits du Portugal, de grand intérêt artistique : Nazaré, Obidos, Évora, Tomar, Alcobaça, Batalha, Fátima et bien d' autres encore. Vous aurez sans problèmes entière satisfaction. Ce pays a par sa grande histoire tellement à raconter !
