Quiet updated house

Great space for a group. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. Large kitchen. Updated. Not as clean as we had hoped, but Chris was great about it and quick to respond. We have stayed previously at this house with no issues. Great amenities for a group. Hope to stay again in the future.

good location for us and great house for entertaining

spent a couple nights here in town for a family celebration of life. the house was a great location for us and easily accommodated our extended family for evening visits. Chris is a new owner and easy to communicate with. He's in the process of improving the home so it will only get better. Cheers!

Cozy place to gather

We had a great time and were able to relax. We didn’t get to spend as much time using the amazing outdoor amenities as we would have liked due to event commitments and cooler temperatures but even just sitting out by the pool was very relaxing. Hosts have thought of a lot of ways to make your stay easier. Including labeling where everything goes for easy clean up. Only tip is if you’re attending an event where you need to do make up - bring a lighted mirror. Bathroom lighting isn’t great for that. But I’d give this place a 10 out of 10 for sure. Hope we can come back and enjoy the outdoor space!

Wonderful Experience

This stay was amazing! Everywhere we looked there was something else super fun to do at the house! It’s close to many places (including the Fainting Goat Brewery which is super fun) and there are so many places for people to sleep! I was impressed with the amount of showers too :) The host was communicative and offered so much more than I ever expected including places to go and activities to do around town. I would definitely stay again! Also, the beds were sooooo comfortable!

Our family had an absolutely wonderful time at this charming home in Fuquay-Varina, NC. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that we were in for a special experience. The house was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the comforts of home. But what truly made our stay exceptional was our host, Ms. Chris. She went above and beyond to ensure our visit was perfect in every way. It's rare to find a host as patient, kind, and accommodating as she is. From the moment we booked, Ms. Chris was attentive, responsive, and incredibly welcoming. She provided excellent recommendations for local spots to visit and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. Her warmth and generosity made us feel like we were staying with family rather than just renting a house. It's clear that Ms. Chris takes great pride in providing an outstanding experience for her guests, and she exceeded all our expectations. We can’t recommend this home enough! If you’re looking for a place to stay in Fuquay-Varina, you won’t find a better host than Ms. Chris. We left with wonderful memories and are already looking forward to our next visit. Fantastic pool house!

Our party of 8 had a fantastic week here! We’ve been vacationing together for 17 years and this was one of the best rentals we’ve had. There were so many rooms and spaces for playing, sleeping, eating, and chilling. The pool was beautiful and private. The hot tub was always hot and close to the pool. We will definitely be going back. Highlights: gorgeous kitchen, spectacular master suite, pool, hot tub, quiet neighborhood. We rented a pontoon boat on Jordan Lake.

Annual godbrother and our family trip

Ms. Chris was absolutely fantastic. Very rare to have a host be so patient and kind. I highly recommend~ you wont find anyone better! Make sure you tidy up and you might just get the family friend discount for future stays!

Nice location and lots of room

The house easily fit our family of 7. We were able to pay extra to bring our dog so that is a plus. Everyone had their own bedroom and private bath which was nice. Although the day beds in the family room sleep extra people if needed, they are difficult to sit on and to have a conversation. The pool was nice however 3 chaise lounges were broken and 4 chairs had the seat fabric ripped out. The fake flowers hanging around the pool and stuck in the ground around the yard were a bit tacky. There were bees nesting in the hanging fake flowers. An exterminator was called during our visit. The pool house was dirty inside and shoddy craftsmanship. Hooks and towel holders with no anchors coming out of the wall. The bathroom garbage had a maxi pad in it from the previous guests, hair in the shower and stains all over the carpeting. It needs a good PROFESSIONAL cleaning. Baseboards wiped down, etc. Some of us didn’t feel comfortable as it was not clean and had a musty cigarette smell in the bedrooms. There were candy wrappers in one bedroom on the floor near the night stand and under the bed. The house seemed to be a bit dated and furnished with thrift store finds. Christmas tree in the dining room in July is a little much. Personal family photos on the wall made this house seem less of a “vacation” home and more of some else’s family home.

Quiet and enjoyable

I truly enjoyed my stay at this property. The house was well appointed and is comfortable for family vacation or a larger event. The property was quiet and felt very private and enjoyable. The pool is a nice feature and we made good use of it while we were there.

Relaxing

We came for a family vacation and the whole family loved it. There was something for everyone. The hosts were extremely accommodating and always available to answer questions. The home is beautiful. Would definitely stay there again.

Not clean

Despite the property featuring a pool and hot tub, some of my family members felt uncomfortable swimming due to sediment at the pool's bottom. Additionally, the main house had a strong smell of cigarette smoke, stained mattress covers, and dirty outdoor furniture, indicating a rushed professional cleaning job. I requested a walk-through with the host to address these concerns, discovering that the house is regularly inhabited by a family who vacates it only for the week. We were very dissatisfied, especially finding someone else's clothing left in the drawers, which was not what we had expected, and food in the kitchen although there is place to fish and the equipment was available several fishing rods were broken, necessitating the purchase of a replacement for fishing.

Wedding Trip

Perfect in every way!

We sure had a great time at Ms. Chris' beautiful home! Enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and canoe--got some great pictures of a green heron (which isn't green at all). Cooked every evening and really never had to leave (not much of a drive to anything we needed to pick up for our home-cooked feasts). Kitchen is well-stocked with everything you might need, home was spotless, loft was a very nice touch for our newly-wed children so they had a space away from us old folks. I really appreciate everything about our short visit, and we'll be back for sure! Thank you!

Family Wedding

Had a wonderful experience. This property was not only very close to the venue we were going to it was also perfect for our family. Anything you needed was there. Our host thought of everything! Great for big families

We had a great time! We were visiting family in the area and looking for a property that can hold all of us (multi-generation, lots of kids) Hosts were very communicative and helpful, house was exactly as described with a lot of thoughtful touches for guests, and check in and check out was very smooth and effortless. Wedding at Highgrove Estates

We were two minutes to the venue! For those of us in the wedding, it was so convenient. For those attending the wedding, there was so much to do on the days up to the wedding. The kids loved the pool, hot tub, canoeing, fishing, toys, etc. it easily accommodated our party. It was an easy layout for cooking, meals, and sleeping. It was perfect! Thank you, Chris!

Great place for large groups

The house was great for large groups with plenty of activities to do. Chris, property owner, was very nice and responsive to any questions. Tim, property manager, was also quick to respond and help with any concerns. Overall a great experience!
