Walked out to the bluff this morning and we didn't want to leave. That view... just incredible. Sam was very quick to respond and even had the house ready for us early.

Just as advertised, and exactly what we needed. The property was very clean and comfortable. The owner was super responsive and accommodating. You HAVE to take in the scenic overlook. Absolutely beautiful!

A hidden gem!!

I came home to pack my bags so I could move in to this gem!!!! Adorable cottage tucked back by itself on a cattle farm. So peaceful, the only sound were the cows. I drank my coffee on the front porch and talked with the horses. You want peace and quiet, yet close to the Buffalo, this is the spot. Gorgeous inside and out. Samantha was a gracious hostess. We will most definitely be returning!

Simply beautiful!

The house was beautiful, as was the property. If you are looking for a place to relax and get away this is it! Sitting outside and watching the stars at night while making s’mores around the fire pit, or taking a short drive to the river to swim. Perfect for the family!

We loved this place. Comfy bed, well equipped kitchen, spacious bathroom, all very clean, very quiet location. We took the recommended walk out to see the view, which was spectacular. We would definitely stay here again.

Just What We Needed

This rental felt like a home away from home. It was clean, quiet and cozy, stocked with everything we needed. If we had a question, the host always responded in under five minutes. The walk was beautiful, the overlook was breathtaking. We spent time hiking in Jasper, watching elk in Ponca and star gazing by the fire back at the house. We highly recommend this place!

Wonderful time

We enjoyed our stay so much! Sam is a great host. We loved the peach bread. The short hike was definitely worth the view! It was an easy walk except for the end section which was very steep. With our aging knees and ankles we may not be able to do that on a return trip, but we hope to be back!

Cozy home with a 5 star view.

House was cozy and uniquely decorated. We were thrilled to listen to Fleetwood Mac on a record player! Hike to the view was so worth it - it was amazing. Location was quiet with perfect views for sunrise and sunset.

The view is simply amazing its a about a mile from the house but I can't wait to come back in the fall and see the colors. Extremely quiet and the unplug I needed from life. Owner has a lot if information about the area and found a few hikes but struck out on water fall views due to dry weather.

Anniversary trip

This is the perfect little house to unwind and relax. The owner spares no effort into making sure the home is cozy and comforting. The cliff view is breathtaking. The proximity of the house is close enough to Branson to enjoy a show, and also close to the Buffalo national park to enjoy a hike and canoe, whichever is your preference. Whether you're planning to slowdown and chill or get busy exploring, you will bot be disappointed.

Peaceful Getaway

This property was in such a peaceful location, but still very close to town. Lovely house with great charm and character. Sam was easy to connect with while we were there. My family will definitely be staying here again when we are in Harrison again!!

Nice Retreat

The property and amenities were as described. The setting allowed us to not only hike to the view which was beautiful, but also provided the opportunity take a quiet country walk each evening. We did several hikes in the area and visited Harrison which had a great little museum for the area history. Sam was great to work with. If we are back in the area this place will be on the list.

Great stay

Very relaxing and private location, but also quite close to Harrison for meals or groceries. We enjoyed hiking and exploring the Buffalo national river area, and Sam was a responsive and friendly host. I would recommend visiting Sam’s cottage if you’re booking in the area 100%.

Quaint Bohemian Home

We truly enjoyed our stay. We welcomed with a clean and cozy home decorated in a personal bohemian style. We found it very private and enjoyed seeing the horses out the front windows. The kids also enjoyed playing in the yard. Beds were cozy and Roku tvs in every room. The kitchen, bath, & laundry were stocked with all your needs including shampoo, laundry detergent, etc. Overall a greatly stocked home and super comfortable. The owner, Sam, was easy to contact and responded immediately with any questions we had! I highly recommend staying here! We hope to come back in the future.

Graduation Trip

Took our senior and her friend for a graduation trip. This place was perfect. When I tell you the view from the hiking trail was worth the price of the stay, that’s an understatement. My girls ranked the view as the best part of their trip. Would not hesitate to rent again. Loved it!!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

The Ola House has two bedrooms, a full bath and a spacious kitchen. It's a nice mix of old and new, the original structure was once a Post Office (circa 1930's). Its charming and cozy and approximately 1400 square feet and has everything you need, including a fully stocked kitchen and washer and dryer. The front porch has two rockers and a BBQ grill, you can enjoy the view of the farmlands that surround the Ola House, including grazing cattle and horses.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

The Ola House is center to an array of many different adventures. Its just 30 minutes to Branson Missouri, 10 miles to Historic Downtown Harrison where you can enjoy the Ozarks like a true local with many boutique shops, the historical Lyric Theater, local vendor food trucks and coffee lounges.

For the adventure seekers, plan for a day floating the Buffalo River or take a scenic drive just 15 minutes to Ponca into the Boxley Valley where you can experience the beautiful mountains and valleys with some of the most breathtaking trails, hikes and waterfalls. Lost Valley Trail, Whitakers Point Trail (Hawksbill Crag) Glory Hole Waterfall Trail to name just a few.

Want to stay close? The Ola House has beautiful scenic mountain and valley views with 4 acres of private property overlooking Cove Creek, with a fire pit and chairs, just a short walk from the Ola House.

We have several local restaurants you don't want to miss: The famous Ozark Cafe in Jasper, The Low Gap Cafe, Neighbors Mill and Devito's Italian Restaurant are just a few of my favorites.
