The Blue Heron Retreat sits on Lake Erie with direct beach and park access. It is located in Ohio’s north coast gateway to Cedar Point Amusement Park (8 miles west), the Lake Erie islands (8 miles west to the Jet Express dock), Cedar Point Sports Force (4 miles west), Kalahari Resort (6 miles south) and is conveniently located equal distance between Cleveland and Toledo, Ohio.

All bedrooms are located on the second floor. There is one primary bedroom (double sinks and glass enclosed shower). One bathroom with shower on the first floor and an additional full bathroom with a tub/shower upstairs.

The driveway can fit 8 vehicles and can easily accommodate a boat trailer and vehicle.

Quick family weekend - perfect

We enjoyed the privacy (4 bedrooms), cleanliness, open family area, large dining table, amazing location to both Sandusky and Cleveland for a perfect family weekend. Owner was super responsive and accommodating.

Retirement Get Away

We were celebrating my husband’s retirement with our kids and grandkids . The house and location were perfect for our group . There was so much for the grandkids to do . They loved all of the games that were available . The view of the lake was amazing . The house had everything we needed for our meals . Thank you for sharing your house with us .

We had a large family stay here for the weekend and we had a wonderful time! The house is beautiful, clean, fully stocked, and very spacious. We had everything we needed and more! Great location, 15 minutes from Cedar Point (the reason for our stay). Owner communicated very well and responded very quickly to any questions! We will definitely be back!

Family Friendly Modern

This was a perfect retreat for our family. Myself, husband, 2 adult kids and their spouses plus 2 grandkids (ages 3 &1). We loved the variety of seating and living areas on the main floor. Open floor plan with big windows to view Lake Erie. House was spotless and just as pictured! Super comfy. Lots of toys and games for the little ones. Kitchen was amazing and fully stocked. Lynette, the owner, was wonderful and responded quickly to any questions we had beforehand. We'd love to return and highly recommend this property. spotless

Wonderful place and great host!

Extremely large kitchen/family room. Home totally refinished. Responsive host. House was lake view rather than lakefront but this wasn't a huge deal. Will stay here again!

Amazing home

This was a amazing home to stay in with the whole family. The spaciousness and open concept of the home are just amazing. The kids enjoyed the playground out of the back door. And all of the family enjoyed the Access to the beach. The house was super clean. The kitchen was fully stocked. Communicating with the owner was so easy.

Lake Erie Get-A-Way

Spacious and kid friendly. Perfect home for multi-family vacation. Rooms were large and the dining table was perfect for all of us. Park and Beach right across the street. Lynette was a great host before, during and after our stay. Great value!

Spacious & Scenic Family Gathering Place

The property was exactly as depicted, and maybe even better! It is located in a quiet scenic neighborhood, with great views and a small park between the house and the water. The property was neat and spacious, well-appointed with a huge kitchen and dining area for a big family, and every kitchen utensil or appliance you might need, including a gas grill. There was plenty of parking in the driveway, which made it easier for a large family gathering. When we found the floors weren't adequately cleaned by the cleaning company, we notified the property owner and they had them re-cleaned at the first available time that was convenient for us. The rest of the property was very clean and organized, with nice binders providing local information and tips.

This property is great for families! We sat and drank our coffee on the front porch while kids played just across the street at the park. Access to the lake was close too. Our host was wonderful as well!

Amazing Home

This property is impeccably beautiful! The view is gorgeous and the home is full of everything you need! The owner went ABOVE and BEYOND to help us accommodate a disabled child in a wheelchair❤️❤️. The communication was too notch and the owner was so kind in all she did to make her home feel like home for us for the weekend. I cannot say enough! I would highly recommend this property.

Amazing Stay in Huron!

The house was perfect for our two families. The layout was great for hanging out and having a large group meal. The kids loved being right across from the park and we saw bald eagles by the lake in the morning. Communication was great and check-in/check out was very easy. Would absolutely stay here again!

Family get away

This house is awesome. The house has spectacular views of the Lake. The updates in the house are awesome. There is plenty of areas to gather with different size groups. The bottom floor is open floor plan so everyone feels together. Lots of games available The rooms upstairs are nice. There were plenty of bathrooms. We really enjoyed our stay. Lynette was a great host and communication was awesome!!We want to return next year!!
