Family of 7 loved it!

Our family of 7 loved this cabin! We have 5 kids, ages 3 to 9, and they all loved the zipline the best! The Zipline is even better than it looks in the photos. It goes fast through the trees, but safe enough that our little kids could do it. There is a great circular path that goes around the property, from the back patio, down to the hot tub, then fire pit with plenty of seating, to the Zipline area, then to the swings on the deck, and back up to the patio, and around to the front porch. There are so many adorable outside decorations! The water feature with 5 baby koi fish was also a highlight for the kids. Sitting in the hot tub under the trees was amazing! The inside of the cabin is very spacious and has lots of beds for us to all spread out. The kitchen is beautiful. The basement is very large and open with a huge TV! They even have a workout room. The bedrooms and bathrooms are very nicely decorated. We loved all the wood inside. The kids enjoyed eating at the picnic table out back. We loved being out in nature at this cabin. We will definitely be back!!!

Wonderful holiday reunion

We enjoyed staying at this property as a family reuniting for the holidays and birthdays, and to celebrate the new year. We had an excellent time. Everything was just as we expected with plenty to do for the adults and the kids! We will be returning to Cherry log again!

Perfect weekend getaway

This property was exactly as pictured. It was located in a cozy quiet neighborhood with an amazing outdoor space. The hosts were detailed, friendly & always responded quickly. Our kids loved everything about the cabin but the zip line was the biggest hit. It was perfect for our two families with kids. Our only complaint is that we couldn’t extend our stay. Hoping to return again when we can longer!

Lovely Fall Break

Our family stayed at this property during our children's Fall Break. The kids had a great time on the zip line and playing with the various games available in the house. Hot tub was wonderful and the backyard was beautifully landscaped - we appreciated all the multiple outdoor seating areas. Comfy beds for everyone, plenty of towels and linens, and a well-stocked kitchen - overall, an excellent stay.

Our 4 day getaway is just what my husband and I needed to celebrate our 6th year anniversary.

The cabin was neat, clean, plenty of space and had everything we needed. The owners are very nice and promptly responded when messaged. It rained our first 3 days; however we enjoyed playing games, watching movies, cooking, and sitting outside on the deck watching the wildlife. We will definitely visit again.

Perfect Sr. Boys getaway with Moms

We loved this place. It was the perfect set up for a group of senior boys and moms. Our last "high school" vacation together for this group! The owners were very responsive to questions - before, during, and as we were leaving. Set up is great, bunk room, and extra room downstairs for the man cave was excellent! We will consider this property again for similar trips! Kudos to these owners for a great place!

Amazetastic!!!

There is no one word to sum up this amazing property. It is beyond fantastic. The only thing you will need to bring is yourself. Everything is here for you, cotton balls, plastic wrap, spices & throw blankets. Well, you might need some groceries! We fell in love with the cabin as soon as I pulled up into the paved driveway. The landscaping is wonderful. I loved the geese in the front yard along with the sweet little bench by the road (my favorite). The comfortable outdoor furniture was soft, and the swing was fun. Inside the cabin is so inviting and comfortable, you just want to plop down and relax. The large screen tv and fireplace is perfect. Open up the blinds and you can sit there and watch deer, wild turkeys, squirrels & chipmunks romp and play. The kitchen is great I enjoyed cooking in there so much (had not planned to cook at all) but could not resist the temptation of the state-of-the-art appliances. The bedrooms are beyond belief so luxurious and comfortable. I really enjoyed the bathtub to take a long bubble bath. The others with me were really impressed by the showers. We did have some rain but the screened in back porch was perfect to watch the big game and hearing the wonderful water feature. Downstairs we enjoyed the outside deck and used the gas firepit to cuddle up and snuggle with our pup who came along with us. The hot tub is so peaceful. Three different times I used it and watched the deer play nearby. We did not get a chance to use the hammock but that is what a return trip is for! While we were there my daughter got a call for work and thought she would have to cut her vacation short but having the downstairs office saved the day. She was able to do all her work there and when she finished continued with our trip as nothing had happened. We cannot wait to return next year!!!

Home away from home!

Our family traveled from Florida for a Thanksgiving getaway and boy were we pleasantly surprised. The location is perfect because it's in a gated community just minutes from the main highway. No perilous drives through uphill winding, treacherous roads. The cabin is spotless, beautifully decorated and so many amenities! From shampoo, conditioner body wash to a hair dryer and even robes in the master bedrooms . That was such a nice touch! The kitchen has everything you might need even with a spice rack and a recipe book. The hosts took great pride in providing a very comfy and cozy feel and we thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of it. The beds and pillows were super comfortable. We were looking for a place where the family could enjoy ourselves spending quality time together and the game room was a perfect place to play foosball, ping pong or any one of the many games that were included. They even have a zipline for the kids in the back yard. I also really appreciated that the hosts were easily accessible. Great vacation! I would definitely recommend it for families wanting some time away! Thank you Doug and Becky!

Great property! Great neighborhood!!

Home was exactly what I was looking for. My husband and I traveled from Indiana to meet daughter and grandkids from Alabama for a relaxing weekend. Close enough to enjoy some hiking and also had enough to keep us busy at home so we didn't have to leave. The only disappointment was the large TV in basement wouldn't work on 1st night. Power cord looked to be "hot wired" and didn't stay connected to TV. I contacted owner and he had maintenance come the next morning. Howevers, the maintenance man didn't act like he wanted to be there. He only "re hot-wired" it. When I asked him about the power cord to the electric dart board (I did mention to owner previous night and he said he would get maintenance to go buy a new cord the next day) the maintenance man said he wasn't going to replace it. Ok. Fine I guess you don't NEED the dart board to be electric but it would have been nice. Then upon checking out and taking sheets off the bunk beds in the basement , I found 4 containers of alcohol stuffed under the mattress on the top bunk. One container still had about half of the wine still in it. I am glad my 8 &9 year old grandkids didn't find it. That leaves me to believe the bedding wasn't washed from the previous guests. I understand things happen and get over looked, that is why I would stay in this home again and recommend it to friends and family in the future.

A wonderfully relaxing stay

A wonderful house in a wonderful setting. We enjoyed the inside and the outside. The grandsons particularly liked the games room. By far the most clean and well appointed VRBO we have rented this far. Doug and Becky were very easy to communicate with an were very helpful at every step of the process. Highly recommended.

The Perfect Getaway

This house was absolutely perfect. It was spotless on arrival. It was easy to find and access with the information provided by Doug and Becky. They were very responsive. We encountered no issues during the visit, but had a few questions. They answered within minutes. This space was perfect for our vacation and our group. The downstairs provided a wonderful bunk room for our son. We turned the office space into a bedroom for our daughter. It fit a full queen size air matress and still had room for all of her bags too. The dowstairs living space was fantastic for some great group movie nights and even a spa night. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub. It rained for the majority of our stay, so we did not get to enjoy the outdoor firepit by the hot tub BUT there was a gas firepit under the covered porch so we still got to enjoy Smores. I have to say, we spent most of our time on the screened in porch on the main level. It was so relaxing listening to the rain. Many books were read and naps were had on that porch. The kitchen is huge!! We had everything we needed for everyone to make meals. The knifes could have been a little sharper, but we still got everything done. Every single bed was comfortable. Our daughter, as well as the rest of us, were over joyed with the amount of soft and fuzzy blankets provided as well. The bathrooms were amazing. There were two stand alone tubs and two walk in showers. We all enjoyed some relaxing bubble baths while there. When we were planning this trip, we really wanted to find a house where we could stay and be entertained without having to leave to do activities. This house was perfect for that. We had to go to the grogery store a few times, but besides that we did not leave. We were entertained the whole 6 nights and 7 days we stayed. It was the relaxing time we all needed. We had space to spread out but also the perfect areas to spend time together. This was one of my favorite family/friend vacations to date. If we had wanted to go out and do activities, this house would have also been the perfect location. It is right in the middle of Ellijay and Blue Ridge. I would recommend this house for all types of vacations. Thank you for the break from reality for a while.

My wife and I love to travel and we love to stay off the beaten path. Our favorite travel destinations are Paris and the Big Island of Hawaii. Favorite movies? Hers? "Cool Hand Luke". His? "Twelve Angry Men". Food? We both love Mexican food. The best? Cielito Lindo on Olvera Street in downtown Los Angeles.

We have hosted guests from all over the world for the last 11 years in Gilbert, AZ. We are now excited to launch our second short term vacation rental in beautiful Cherry Log, GA. Our motto is "welcome home". We even have a welcome banner out front to prove it.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We chose Cherry Log for mainly two reasons. First, it's a vacation paradise and people from all over choose to vacation here. Secondly, My family is one of the original families to settle in this area. Dating back to the 1700s, I was born and raised in the West; and for the first time, I am meeting this side of my family. It means a lot to me. My great-grandparents' home is just down the road from here. To see the places my dad visited as a child, warms my heart. I have the family-history bug and I truly feel like I'm home.
