A Place at the Beach Oceanfront on the Garden City Peninsula

This is a well maintained, first floor, two bedroom, two bath ocean side view condo in a low-rise oceanfront building, with a spacious pool area and beautifully landscaped grounds. It is a half hour drive south of the Myrtle Beach Airport and south of Garden City pier. You can enjoy breathtaking sunrises over the Atlantic and sunsets over the inlet waterway. The condo has a horizon view of the ocean, and a view of the Murrells Inlet waterway from the balcony. One of the finest restaurants on the Grand Strand, Gulfstream Cafe is within walking distance. Indigo Creek Golf Clubs and other golf courses are within 12 miles of the condo. Wild Water and Wheels Park and several Putt Putt courses are also a short drive away. Enjoy the best seafood on the strand at the many restaurants (Bovine's, Drunken Jack's) of Murrells Inlet just minutes away. Broadway at the Beach, Market Commons, Hudson Flea Market are all nearby. This area of beach is very wide with multiple sand dunes. This area is only zoned for beach homes and low-rise condo complexes which gives it more of an island feel and makes for an un-crowded, quiet beach any time of year. The complex sits on an extra large lot with an oversized pool, courtyard, and grilling area that makes it very accommodating for families and pets. The view from our balcony does not face any other complex or parking areas to give you ultimate in privacy and unobstructed views. This is very uncommon on the Grand Strand. Condo is very well maintained . Living Room has a 40' flat screen TV and DVD player, master bedroom is equipped with a new 32' LCD TV. . The beach is the widest and most beautiful on the southern strand. A short walk and you can be at the jetty where the inlet and ocean waters meet, ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SPOTS YOU'LL EVER EXPERIENCE. Keywords: low-rise oceanfront condo south of Garden City Pier

The unit was located on the front beach and we loved having the option of a pool. The whole building was quiet and the courtyard for our dog was a welcome surprise!

Great place to stay

We absolutely love staying in this condo, we have been using this rental for several years. The location is perfect for us, we are away from all the noise of the boardwalk yet only a few mile drive when we want to do touristy things. The only negative I have is the bedroom needs new deep pocket sheets.

Another great stay!

Even with the incredibly bad weather and limited beach time, (thanks to Hurricane Debby) we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at A Place At The Beach. The property is super clean, kitchen is well stocked and you could not ask for a better location!

Excellent Location

Beautiful, not crowded beach. Convenient access to great restaurants and plenty of activities to enjoy your stay. Or just relax at the beach & pool. The owner was very responsive to questions and we had no problems with our stay. I'd highly recommend renting this condo, I hope to come back myself!

Tranquil environment

For two people it was perfect. We also had our dog with us. Was quiet and relatively handy to groceries and shopping. The pool was great and so was the beach. Also handy to churches. If you like a condo, you’ll enjoy this tremendously.

A little gem in Murrells Inlet

Super nice location, beautiful calm area, kitchen has everything you need. Comfortable beds. I would put comfortable chairs on the balcony to make it perfect. Owner is very pleasant to deal with and quick to respond. We will be back.

Nice Property Garden City

Older but well maintained property, bathrooms small. Very clean, comfortable beds, plenty of towels and well stocked. Had to rent last minute and this was a great deal. Across the street from a terrific restaurant. Really nice area of beach and nice sized pool.

Clean & complete. Everything for a great beach getaway!

Spotless, with everything you need for an extended stay. Great location, but not to near the main center of activity in the busy months. Not facing the beach but right on the beach. Nice grounds, pool, etc. We walked the beach every day. In February, we had it all to ourselves.

Great Getaway!

My family stayed the week of Aug 3-10. We had a wonderful time and loved the condo. It was just what we expected and the owners were so easy to work with. The grounds were beautiful, lovely pool, short walk to beach and very quiet. The beds were very comfortable and always plenty of parking. We enjoyed grilling by the pool and meeting other nice families. Can't wait to come back.

We just love this condo, it is steps from the beach, has all that is needed for convenience. We have used this condo many times before and will be using it again. The folks who live there are extremely friendly and helpful with any needed info about what do do and best eating places.

Pure Bliss

This clean and well equipped condo was perfect. It is located at the end of the inlet- very quiet but also has (2) fine dining restaurants across the street. We walked to pier every day along the beach. Nightlife in Murells Inlet and antique stores abound. Can’t wait to come back! As for the only negative review that is posted here - consider it an exaggeration and null and void.

Enjoyable

Perfect location, perfect place , we had a wonderful time. We were saddened that we weren’t given the first right of refusal for our time there, as we were there at the same time last year, and we’re asked if we wanted to return this year, as we did. Oh well, we’ll find another for next year.

Great choice

This was our first stay at this condo and what a great choice. Greg and Sherrie made the transaction very easy . The condo is clean, cozy and quiet. The location is convenient to area attractions and being able to sit on the balcony and watch the sunset over the inlet waterway was wonderful.The extra pleasure was being able to take our dog. Thanks Greg and Sherrie , we will be back !!!

The Best

Booking online is convenient & easy, but you sometimes wonder if you made the right decision. Our August stay at this condo was the best we have ever had. The location is perfect with the bay/marsh on one side & the beach on the other side where both could be viewed from the balcony by a simple turn of your head. Grills are available and the private, condos- only pool with lounge chairs were a hallway away. The private wooden walkway led you from your condo straight to the beach- one minute to the pool & one minute to the beach! The 2 lane street in front had joggers, walkers, bicycles & golf carts. Clean, accommodating, and comfortable ...you will love your stay! We definitely will be back! Thank you so much for the perfect vacation😄🌴😎

Not what we thought we rented

We searched VRBO for ocean/beach front rental. While the building is ocean front this unit is not. The view is of laundry room building on one side and street and parking lots on the other. This unit was not very clean, linens were old, and stained. Vent in bathroom was pulled away from wall and heavy dirt and dust was on ceiling and wall, above towel rack. Fire extinguisher hanging on end of cupboards above counter was thick with dust and dirt. The catwalk to the beach ends in the middle of the dunes, so you have to walk thru deep sand to reach the beach. For seniors, this was difficult. We have stayed in various rentals over the last 30 years, from Outer Banks to Pawleys Island, and this was the worse stay overall.

My husband and I are Ohio natives. In 2020, our daughter’s Senior mission trip was canceled due to the Covid pandemic. We knew Greg and Sherrie had a condo in Murrells Inlet, though we had never been there. I rented the condo for a week with my daughter and her two friends as a graduation gift. I fell in love with the condo and the location.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Greg and Sherrie decided to sell this condo in 2021. I wanted my husband to see this beautiful place on the Garden City peninsula and to walk the wide quiet beach to the point where the ocean meets the Inlet. My husband loved the condo and the location as well and we decided to purchase their condo.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

It is nice after a day of enjoying all the attractions the area has to offer to go back to a beautiful, quiet beach to enjoy the night ocean breeze. It is also a big plus to be within walking distance of the Gulfstream Cafe! We are just minutes away from the Murrells Inlet Marsh Walk, with great views of the Inlet, boat rentals, and the finest restaurants and live music in the area.
