Sandpiper's Palace is a cheerful, bright, and airy two-bedroom bungalow with bonus room in highly sought-after West Cape May. Completely remodeled with both luxury and beach living in mind, you will find this house has everything you could want in a shore home.

You will love the cute touches throughout this home that make it such a special place to stay. You'll also appreciate the practicality in the design! Each room has a ceiling fan for those cooler nights when you want to open the windows and smell the fresh salt air as you comfortably drift to sleep. You'll find that one of the best features of this house is the large multi-purpose family room that gives enough space for everyone to spread out and enjoy their time indoors.

The large backyard is perfect for playing outside! It has a tree swing and a shed that houses 4 beach bikes, 4 beach chairs, and a beach caddy to make your stroll to the beach (11 blocks) much less stressful. This house has it all!

There is a two-car driveway on the property and plenty of free street parking. Known as a bike town, the island has so much to see and do in walking and biking distance. This property includes the use of 4 bicycles for when you want to venture a little further than a light stroll.

Excellent place in Cape May

This house was more than amazing. The location is great since there are beaches, parks, and an outdoor mall nearby. Everything was clean, organized, and in good condition. The owner also had excellent communication with us and made sure everything was good. Really recommend this place!

Cozy and tasteful, excellent location

This house has recently had some renovations, so everything is in great shape and is thoughtfully designed. We didn't use the sun room, because our visit was in winter, but with that it's a great size for a family of four or five. The house is on a quiet street, but there are lots of businesses within a short walk, and the beach and main commercial district of Cape May are also walkable. The wetlands preserve -- which is wonderful -- and the lighthouse are also quite close. This area doesn't have the grandeur of downtown Cape May, but it's very close and has all the amenities.

Recently nicely renovated property that was good for 2 of us. The new kitchen is appreciated as was the updated technology throughout. The only area for improvement I noted was the shed where bikes and other beach supplies are stored. Better organization of available equipment would be appreciated. Given it's overall condition it may be a challenge for other tenants.

Lovely Getaway in West Cape May

Our family enjoyed a lovely week in Cape May while staying at Jim’s place. It was well-stocked with everything we needed. Jim kindly accommodated our larger family by getting extra beach passes for us- without our even asking. A little kindness earns a lot of points in my book and Jim knocked the ball out of the park with that one. The only thing I can offer by way of constructive criticism is to think about giving guests the option to bring their own linens instead of having to rent. Although, to be honest, I could have asked when requesting to book, but didn’t think to do so at the time. Thank you, Jim, for having us as guests in your home.

We're Jim & Caty Smith and we're the owners and hosts of Sandpiper's Palace. I (Jim) grew up in Philadelphia and spent my lifetime coming down to the Jersey Shore, but never to Cape May. On a random Sunday in 2019 we drove down to hang out at the beach and fell in love with Cape May. We kept coming back to West Cape May over and over as we searched for places we loved and decided to buy our first vacation home here. It's one of the best decisions of our adult lives.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We fell in love with West Cape may because it had everything we wanted and none of the things we didn't. What we wanted more than anything was to be able to park our car at the house and spend the rest of the week with our car off. We wanted to be able to bike to the beach, to the Washington Street mall, to the wineries and cape may point and to be able to get our groceries at local shops but we wanted to avoid the traffic.

Having a coffee shop near us (Osteria) was also key as we're certified coffee junkies. We wanted to be able to get some ice cream and walk to restaurants when we wanted and we also wanted to be able to do some simple grocery shopping without too much effort.

That's what we love about West Cape May. It's so close to everything yet sometimes the neighborhood is so quiet and peaceful, you feel like you're having coffee in your backyard. Our neighbors are awesome and the neighborhood is so warm and inviting. West Cape May reminds us of a small farm town that's just happens to be close to the beach. It's that vibe that really make it special and unique. We love it and hope you will too.

- The house was completely renovated head to toe less than a year ago. All new everything.
- Less than a mile to the beach
- The house is designed for families. 1 Master, 1 Guest (with 2 bunk beds and a trundle underneath), 1 Full Pull out Sofa and 2 Twins in the Den / Guest room.
- The kitchen is fully stocked and has everything you need to cook, host guests and feed kids.
- The house comes with 5 bikes for getting around town, 3 adult 2 kids
- We have 4 beach chairs, 2 umbrellas, and a 10' pop-up tent (all of which fit into the little bike trailer for riding to the beach)
- We're a 5 minute bike ride to the Washington St. Mall
- We're a 7 minute bike ride to Willow Creek Winery and Beach Plum Farms
- Walkable to Pizza, Fine Dining, Ice Cream, Coffee, Brunch, Bakery, Spa, Mini-Golf, Tacos and More!
- Parking is never an issue
- Lots of great weekend activities like the Strawberry festival, Tomato Festival, Parades & More
- Rope Swing for the kids to play on
- Grill & Firepit for chilling outside and enjoy the cool summer nights
- Board Games
- All the digital TV you could need (no live TV unfortunately) on 4 separate TV's
- Google Home for music and cooking
- Totally touchless with a keyless entry for coming and going as you please
