The property was good overall. The dishwasher was not functioning/cleaning dishes until we cleaned it out thoroughly. The place needs some TLC and I feel it is unreasonable to ask guests to wait around on departure day to wash, dry and remake the bedding on beds.

Thanks for your comments and we appreciate it so that we can let our cleaners know to check the dishwasher screens. The dishwasher was a new dishwasher last summer. We only ask that the mattress pads that were used be placed in the washer and started so that our cleaners have time to clean before the next clients arrive. Again we appreciate the comments so we can streamline our rentals making things easier for our clients.

The location was great. a very cozy cottage. the host was very accessible and even came by to fix something right away. I would suggest to work on making the internet faster as the Tv was buffering due to it. lots of amenities and easy to follow instructions.

We had a wonderful stay with our family. Three kids and four adults. Greatly enjoyed the hot tub since it was winter and loved how peaceful the surroundings were. Cottage has a beautiful view of the lake. It was well equipped for our stay.

Good for the price.. but the hottub didn't work and the host tried to fix it but no luck and they gave me 100 in refund back.

This was our 4th stay at Preben and Christina's place. The cottage and the location are great and offer everything we could want for our stay. We even caught dinner from the dock! They listened to our feedback from other years and added a small fridge and freezer in addition to the main fridge/freezer making enough room for all our groceries and saving us many small trips to town. Thanks again for sharing your space with us.

This was our 3rd stay at Preben and Christina's place. It has everything we need for a relaxing stay and located close to family that live in the area. Every year we are sad to leave but look forward to the next. Thanks for sharing your space with us

Beautiful cottage

The cottage was beautiful. Had all the modern amenities, was big and comfortable. There were a few very hot days (90+) so AC would have been nice. Lake was beautiful and the hot tub was a nice treat!

Peaceful and scenic

We stayed at Christina and Preben’s for just one night, I wish we booked a longer stay. Everything was clean, and comfortable. The location is off the main road which is convenient, but feels further out in how quiet and peaceful the area is. Christina and Preben are role model hosts and were lovely to correspond with. I hope to come back!

Golden Valley September to Remember

Enjoyed beautiful late summer weather for 4 nights at Preben and Christina's cottage. Everything you need to enjoy the beautiful area is provided including fire pit with wood, fishing kayaks, BBQ and large stocked kitchen. Excellent value considering the size of the cottage and amenities.

Amazing Cabin

Overall it was amazing. Unfortunately we arrived when it was a little cold so the fishing was not great. As for the cabin it more than we expected. Hot tub was very nice and the living area was astounding, especially the lake view. Other than the grocery being far away, everything else was good. Communication with the host was also on point.

Beautiful fall colours

We stayed here for the first week of October. Three or four connected lakes with around 100 cottages. We only saw a few people and two boaters. It was very peaceful. Cottage is modern and well stocked with all the conveniences.
