Cute first floor bedroom and private bath in our 1880's Victorian house near the beach. Down the street from where British troops landed during the Revolutionary War. Area steeped in history. First home ever build on this block. Private bathroom. kitchen, dining room and sitting room and private bathroom.. A short walk to the Boardwalk, Long Island Sound, fishing, walking distance to bars and restaurants, and a short drive to Yale. Non smoking and non party space.
We had a comfortable stay in this charming house in a safe neighborhood. The owner was easy to communicate with and quick to respond to our questions. We loved our stay!
The neighborhood was safe and best of all could easily walk to the beach and train station. It was probably clean enough but with no dishwasher the dishes werenât sanitary. The linens were kind of fusty and only one bedroom light worked what with all the clutter was hazardous. Never could get the teeny old tv working. The scary parts were no outdoor lights and had to walk around to the back of the house to get in. Turned the shower on and the heavy soap dish fell out of the wall and shattered half an inch from my foot. I didnât complain because I kind of had an idea after the fact that since there was only one review ( in 2023) there may have been some issues, but I had already booked.
