A Slice of Heaven

I was very pleased with my stay at this darling “Small House”! Every inch of the interior is cleverly and thoughtfully used, making the most of the cozy space. But it’s really the outside that steals the show—absolutely a little slice of heaven on earth. Peaceful, charming, and perfect for relaxing. With the owners plans to refresh the cabins and grounds, I hope to return this time next year!

Quiet, Cozy Getaway

The host was extremely communicative and offered access to kayaks, a paddle board, and a canoe to check out the local lake, which I would highly recommend. The area is quiet and about 20-25 mins from downtown Shreveport eateries and attractions. There are a few other cabins that are quite close, but the other guests staying there were quiet and courteous. Overall great experience.

Alot smaller from what looks like online cabins were alot closer together than I expected parking when other cabins rented difficult to get in and out overall cleaning was very bad which I addressed to the host ants horrible in kitchen I addressed issues to host really needs a good cleaning good side was nice quiet not for if I would stay at this location again for that kind of money

I have been renting this cabin for over 5 years and no one has ever said it's smaller than it looks. I am sorry it did not live up to your expectations. I was made aware there were ants, also a first for this cabin, we had an extremely dry summer through Oct, and I suppose that's why they came in. I have had the cabin treated inside and out and we have gotten plenty of rain, no more ants. As far as the "cleaning", I was made aware of a stubborn burned on spill on the cooktop, and have since had it deep cleaned. 6 complaints from one guest, that says a lot, even complaining about the parking & proximity to other cabins? Also, not a complaint we've had.

The house was great - absolutely no problems. Just exactly as it was listed and there was great communication with the owner. My only complaint - the road to get to the home was bad with several deep pot holes. I drive a 4wd lifted Jeep and it was even a concern for me getting to and from the home.

We are so excited to offer our beautiful Emerald Isle because it is more than Cabins on a lake, it’s a total Louisiana experience!

We spend our summers boating on Cross Lake & have always wanted a cabin! When we found Emerald Isle, we KNEW it was special & people would love it! The sounds and scenery are a real, immersive, Louisiana experience! The view from Emerald Isle is very much like Caddo Lake with Cypress Trees out in the water and some on the island with cool cypress knees. Watching the Great Blue Heron soar through the trees and land is just majestic! Emerald Isle is quiet & tucked away from everything, the night sounds are exciting and calming all at once! It's a one-of-a-kind experience for sure!

Emerald Isle offers authentic Louisiana scenery right on the lake... Quote from a recent guest, “We ended up here by accident. We had reservations down on the Louisiana coast. We changed them to get away from (hurricane) Ida, I have been lucky enough to travel the world and the US. I have never been on a bayou until now.
