Instantly enjoy the great Alaskan outdoors when you step off your porch. Walk out to Glacier Creek and experience the stunning 360 view and all it has to offer. At night enjoy a blazing outdoor bonfire Alaskan style (wood provided). Step away from the fire and experience the big Alaskan sky. Return inside and feel at home in your cozy 1300 sq ft. surroundings. Full kitchen and laundry, spacious bedrooms, comfortable beds, baths with tub shower combo, the wood stove, and 2 diesel wall heaters to keep you warm and cozy. Just minutes from town at mile 6.3 on the Seward Hwy, supplies and adventure are close at hand.
Our favorite stay in Alaska. The cabin was very spacious for 4 adults and the full kitchen made it super easy to make meals. Was only about 20 minutes to downtown where all the restaurants and tours are based. There wasnât much of a view since there are trees and shrubs, but itâs still very peaceful and you can take the pathway at the back of the property to the creek.
Ianâs place is great. It is close to town, spacious, convenient yet secluded, and we had numerous moose come through the yard while we were eating breakfast in the living room.
One of our favorite experiences in our two week trip. Loved the attention to detail, including the fresh flowers and the already built and ready to be lit kindling in the fire pit. The little walk to the river bed was great for views . We'd stay get again.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The house was well equipped and very comfortable. We enjoyed the comfortable seating on the porch and used the picnic table often.
A very peaceful spot with everything you would ever need perfect place for our daughter to get the rest she needed before running mountain marathon thank you for your kindness
Overall experience was great. Firewood, wine and fruits added a nice touch and location was wonderful. House had everything we needed. Will definitely recommend.
Cozy and welcoming! All needed items available. Close enough to seward but out enough to feel by yourself, neighborhood was quite and felt very safe to walk with children. Gorgous mtn/river views. So happy we stayed here!!
Beautiful remodeled home! Close to Seward, Exit Glacier, boat and outdoor tours. The kitchen had everything well stocked. Wildlife outside the window! Would totally stay here again!
This property worked perfectly for our family. The layout of the home is very nice and allows for privacy. The interior finishes are very nicely done. The bedding and linens were soft and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and the dish ware, cookware and utensils were brand new. The home is very clean. We hope to stay with you again.
We originally wanted to stay in Seward, but found this place. It was a great choice. Very close by to everything we needed to access. We went to Exit Glacier, Seward, and Millers Landing. Very well taken care of, all the little things...night lights, scissors, strainer, all kitchen necessities. It was perfect! Thank you!
Really fantastic property. Lots of wildlife around, we had two moose in the backyard at dusk and several fluffy bunnies. The house was perfect for our family of 5. Beds were comfy, laundry room was big and better than what we have at our home. Thereâs a path to the river behind the house that we explored. Ian communicated lots of helpful info and was a great host. Whenever we come back to Seward, we will definitely stay here again!
Cozy comfy and spacious rustic lodge vibe.Beautiful pictures of animals on the wall.Well stocked kitchen.Owner was so helpful and kind.Couch and bed comfortable!Wonderful stay!
What a delightful cabin in beautiful surroundings! Had a perfect stay at Ian's property as a party of four adults and a child. The house has the most comfortable beds and the best amenities. The best part is the location, only 10 minutes from Seward harbor, and yet secluded. We made a campfire, spotted moose and rabbits on the property, and enjoyed the views of the creek just 10 steps out of the backyard. Ian was a communicative and generous host. I recommend this stay to anyone visiting Seward- it will only make your trip better.
We loved staying at Bear Creek. Great location, comfortable, well equipped and clean cabin, great host that was easy to communicate with. We would definitelystay here again
Would definitely stay here again, accommodations were great and attention to detail was excellent. A highlight was seeing a moose and her 2 little ones in the yard two evenings while we were there.
I first fell in love with the beauty of Alaska nine years ago and have been hooked ever since. During my time in Alaska I have worked many different jobs (Merchant Marine, Welding, Oil Industry, Carpentry) that have afforded me the opportunity to visit many different places in Alaska. After experiencing all this beauty I still feel Seward is the most beautiful of all! I am originally from Rhode Island and graduated from the International Yacht Restoration School in Newport, Rhode Island. I am a sailor by trade. My hobbies are fishing, exploring Alaska's coastal waters, hiking, woodworking and using my sawmill! I look forward to showing my guests the beauty of Alaska!
The views! From this house you get a clear unobstructed view of Mt Alice and the entire Chugach range! Godwin glaciers is also clearly visible, its crystal blue color calms your soul and clears your mind! Also, we have abundant wildlife with moose, bear, otters and rabbits visiting often. The house is also conveniently located about 5 miles to the center of Seward and 3 miles to the small boat harbor. Exit glacier is 7 miles away and most other activities are very close. Stoney Creek zipline is less than a mile from our cabin! We are also really excited about a new business located within one mile that is extremely interesting...Stoney Creek Brewery! .
What makes this property unique is all the amenities inside as well as outside! The property is well suited for a family and secluded yet close to town.....you definitely don't have that "hotel" feeling, it gives you a sense of home. Additionally, as a established "local" I can provide you many insights the "average" traveler will never know about! Outside there is a large fire pit area and ample firewood....great for sharing the days stories and some smores! Located on the back of the property is a glacier fed stream that provides excellent views all the way to Resurrection Bay!
