This midcentury home has been completely remodeled. This home offers two bedrooms with queen size beds. The primary bedroom includes an en-suite bathroom with double vanity sinks and a walk-in tiled shower. The hall bathroom is a full bathroom with tiled tub/shower combo. The kitchen is a large open space with all the basic cooking needs. There is also a private office space off of the living room. This home is located 7 miles to downtown, 10 miles to NAS, 13 miles to Johnsons Beach, 15 miles to Pensacola Beach.
The home was clean, cozy and just what we needed for our stay overnight in Pensacola. The owner is a woodworker and decorated much of the home with her work. It was a very nice touch!
The house was clean. It was designed beautifully. We were close to shopping areas. The kitchen was well stocked. The parking is great with a motion light that helps if arriving at night. The back yard was big enough to walk our dog, but it is not fully enclosed. The beds were ok. I personally slept on the couch. My grandchildren 6 and 13 slept in the extra bed. My husband slept in the master. It's advertised as a queen bed, but it has a smaller topper on it that creates a ledge, making it seem smaller. I woke up the first morning and he was on the couch. So I slept on the couch the rest of the time. That was ok because the heavy traffic on the busy highway woke me up really early the first morning. The hot tub was dirty. We didn't use it. There was debris in the bottom, and the water was milky looking. We were about twenty minutes to the beach either way. It was a little further out than I would have perferred but not having ever stayed in Pensacola I wasn't aware of the location. All in all it served it's purpose.
The house was clean and updated to modern standards. However, there were some issues that I feel need to be addressed. The kitchen is not stocked to facilitate cooking meals. Terrible pots and pans, no cutlery, no seasonings, poor quality silverware, no utensils such as can openers, corkscrew, serving spoons, etc. There was a large round chair in the living room that had a terrible odor. The master bedroom bed was very comfortable but not the second bedroom. There was a lot of street traffic noise as there was a major street next to the property. The night stand and lamp in the master bedroom was a joke. The bathrooms were very nice. However, the host did not provide and body soap or shampoo which is usually provided at other homes.Bottom line, I would not rebook this property.
This property is EXACTLY what you see in the photos. Only, when you get there, itâs even better. I like space and privacy. The wood finishings were superb. Just wait till you see the dining room table!! The office nook with the gorgeous chevron wood barn door is perfect for a little work time. The kitchen is well appointed with a great refrigerator AND ice maker. The large kitchen bar is terrific and the over all open floor plan of the combined main living area is perfect. Itâs all very warm and inviting. Great bathrooms, lovely fixtures (in love with the master bath shower head!) and the beds were very comfortable with excellent linens. Both bedrooms also have ceiling fans. As well, there is a unique ceiling fan in the living area. Wi-Fi also great! There is an awesome back yard thatâs fenced in if you have a furry kid. Thereâs also some cute out door furniture as well with some Edison bulb lighting strung to create that perfect evening mood for hanging on the back patio. The keyless entry is THE BEST! Love that!
This owner did a spectacular job with their reno! Very well thought out. As well, they were extremely accessible and replied swiftly to any questions I had before, during and as I checked out. Happy Stay yâall! This oneâs a keeper on my list for Pensacola!
We had things to do at the base, downtown, and in Alabama. The house made it easy to get to all. Nice place to stay. Clean, well equipped and maintained. The wood work is beautiful. Would stay here again. Our two dogs enjoyed it also. It was nice to have a yard to take them out to.
