Recently reopened property/calendar! Rates may soon increase, so book now! Renovated and tastefully decorated home in the Old Village of Mt. Pleasant. Three miles to Sullivan's Island, one mile to Shem Creek and five miles to Downtown Charleston! Updated kitchen, equipt for cooking and eating, W/D combo unit, the living area has a smart TV and a dining area for four, hardwoods throughout. The first bedroom comes with a queen bed, the second has twin beds and smart TV. Fenced-in backyard with picnic area and grill, front porch dining table as well. If interested in the grill, please text me once booked for safety instructions. Technically a duplex but lives like a house with its own yard, partking, etc. A high chair attachment is available upon request. Less than a mile to three parks, close to nearly everything on the South side of Mt. Pleasant. One low-shed dog (or two under 20lbs low-shed dogs) welcome with pet fee. For the sake of the neighbors, no loud music anytime but especially at night. Mt. Pleasant has a noise ordinance starting at 11pm that is enforced.

The town bars short term rental guests from parking on street. If you have to for a short time pls use emergency signal lights. Parking in yard ok.

House is ok

House is small and a bit old, but it has everything you need for a short stay. The pros: the check in was easy, and they left us snacks. That was sweet and appreciated. The house was equipped with what you need.The cons: the structure of the beds were old and a bit noisy. I didn’t sleep well in the first night, but then I moved the mattress and the noise got a lot better.

Small house in Shem’s Creek close to both downtown Charleston and Sullivan Island

My husband, myself and our small dog had a great stay in this house. It is in a quiet neighborhood but very close to the beaches on Sullivan’s island and Isle of palms, and also to downtown Charleston. The house was clean and exactly as described, would certainly stay again if it was available

Wonderful Stay with Exceptional Host

This was my first time using VRBO, and I’m so glad I found this adorable spot! I booked a two-night stay while passing through town, and Sallie, the host, was incredibly kind and accommodating. I ran into some car trouble and arrived late, but Sallie was so thoughtful and offered me an extra night or two to make up for the delay—such a sweet holiday gesture!The property was immaculate, cozy, and felt like a true home away from home. My doodle especially loved the backyard, which was a perfect place to relax. Having lived in the area before, it was so nice to return and stay in such a welcoming and comfortable space.I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and inviting spot to stay. Thank you, Sallie, for making our trip so memorable!

Fabulous location, nice clean apt

The location was in a quiet, friendly neighborhood with a quick uber drive to downtown. Lots of excellent restaurants a short drive away. The duplex was clean with 2 bedrooms, cozy living room, kitchen (which we used for morning coffee) and a porch. Parking for 2 cars was a bonus.

Everything about the property was exactly as described. It was well stocked and very clean. Great communication with the owner. No complaints at all. Everything you could possibly need is close by and an easy drive to downtown and The Citadel. Thank you! We will be back.

Adorable place!

Great little spot if you’re visiting Charleston! We come to visit family so we don’t often spend much time other than bathing and sleeping in our rentals - this place is otherwise very well located- easy to get to and easy to get anywhere from here. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. Only tip I have I pack bug spray! This area has absolutely viscous skeeters!

We enjoyed our stay

The apartment was as described and plenty of space for our family of three. Nice, quiet neighborhood and close to shems creek. Check in was easy and owner was responsive and flexible with check out. Apartment was well stocked with everything you might need plus some extras. Thank you for your hospitality!

Family Vacation

We had a great time! The house was so comfortable for our family - two adults and two teen girls. Great home base for beach days at Isle of Palms & Sullivan’s Island and exploring and shopping in downtown Charleston. We’d love to return!

Comfortable Little House

My husband and I stayed for a week. The neighborhood is very quiet and central to many activities in Mt Pleasant and downtown Charleston. The listing is exactly as described and great for 2-4 people. This house is all the convenience and comforts of home while you're on vacation. I loved the full kitchen so we didn't have to eat every meal out. It's also a bonus that linens and pillows are provided for you. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit!

Nice little place to stay at. Plenty of room for a family.

We really enjoyed our stay. We definitely enjoyed the icemaker. We our use to having one of those. I will say my husband keep complaining about the sofa being very uncomfortable. That’s the only complaint we have.

A winner near Charleston!

Quiet and easily accessible neighborhood. The house is a short drive from downtown Charleston and the beaches on Sullivan's Island or Isle of Palm. The house is on the smaller side but was plenty big enough for the 3 of us. The availability of beach chairs and towels would be a nice addition.

Wow!! Great rental!

We traveled here with my husband and I and 4 kids between 7 and 3 years old. This house is great! So close to the beach! About 10 minutes by car! Super close to Shem creek! This owner is so available and flexible. We had to change our trip dates a couple times due to some issues with my husband’s work and she was so flexible and accommodating! This rental is so well stocked! K-cups, laundry and dishwasher pods, dish soap- all the necessities and then even some complimentary snacks and dog treats! The house was so clean and very comfortable. Neighbors were nice! We would definitely rent this house again!

Our family has had roots in Charleston, SC for hundreds of years! We have lived in The Town of Mt. Pleasant for 27 years and started this VRBO in 2022. Until last year, we had at least one child in school in the Old Village from the time they were in preschool, and we think of it as our 'second neighborhood'. We live 15 minutes away, which usually allows for easier oversight and communication.
