It's a nice, quiet spot with access to the river. The bed was very comfortable and the place was spotless. Pretty close to town where we enjoyed a show at the Creede Repertory Theater. Lots of good hikes nearby.
We enjoyed a rustic but wonderful time in this cabin on the Rio Grande. We had everything we needed to enjoy time away from home in a beautiful setting. We plan to go back.
We loved our stay here. Easy to communicate with the owners, nice quite location on the river. Easy to relax and easy to get into town. Would definitely recommend and we will probably be back!
Hosts were excellent! Property was beautiful with a nice stretch of river access to fish and relax! Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely be booking again!
The property was amazing, the cabin was comfotable, homey and well kept. Has a comfortiable feeling of being their, away from the main road, very quiet. Will be staying their again for sure, the bath house was awesome
Weâve spent 2 weeks in CO visiting different areas. Creede was one of favorite areas to visit! Our stay at âThe Nestâ was wonderful! The pics and description of the rental were spot on and the owners were very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Would def stay there again!!
We had a very quiet and peaceful couple days with the sound of the Rio Grande in the background and no tv. Great to get disconnected for a few days. Property was clean and owner was responsive and friendly when we had questions.
My wife and I enjoyed 8 days at The Nest. I didn't want to leave. The cabin is comfortable and very clean. The property is private and very well kept. We hiked, fished, toured the area, enjoyed Creede, drove the mountain pass to Lake City, grilled most evenings and were amazed at the starry nights. JD and Shirrae are perfect hosts and good people. We will be back to stay at The Nest.
The cabin is stocked with all you need to be comfortable at night, in the kitchen and during the day. Hosts are very helpful and available. A short walk from your cabin and your have an excellent stretch of the Rio to trout fish. There is a firepit along the river with supplied wood for your early AM or night time fires. You are less then an hour away from lake reservoirs and hiking. The town of Creede has a great grocery store, several eating locations and all you need. There is an outstanding brewery 30 minutes away. Wonderful memories were created.
Was a beautiful spot less than 100 yards from the Rio Grande. We stayed in The Nest, a one room cabin with a large refrigerator, micro wave, and double hot plate as well as a gas grill outside. We enjoyed the porch in the morning and the queen bed was VERY comfortable. If you have a bike, downtown Creede is easy to ride to and you will hardly need to pedal to get home. The ranch is very historic and the hosts happy to give you history of the area and suggestions for and activities if needed. If you hike or mountain bike, Deep Creek trail is just a short distance away on the other side of the river. We hope to go back again with friends for the Run Off Run Off. The bathhouse is a short distance from cabin and very clean and newly renovated. A lovely place
I was so fortunate to be able to book the cabin on short notice for an extended Father's Day weekend with my son. It was amazing waking up in the morning only 100 yards away from the river. Only a couple of miles from Creede for convenient access to town but you feel like you are a world away from everything.
J. D. and Sherrie are wonderful hosts and answered all my questions promptly before we arrived. The cabin is very cozy. We made use of the wood burning stove (already loaded and ready to go before we arrived) the first night as it was cold. But we didn't really need to as the bedding was very warm.
The location was perfect and we were able to explore Creede, explore the mines along the Bachelor Loop, rock hound and take a tour at the Last Chance Mine, fish along the abundant river frontage, and take a day trip to Lake City with fantastic views of the San Juans and waterfall hikes.
We are already planning our return visit next year. Highly recommend!!
Quaint rustic cabin. Heating is a wood stove. Upgraded bathrooms located outside your place. Bathrooms are private though. If you arrive late, itâs a bit confusing which drive way to go to. We arrived after dark and went in the wrong drive way. An older woman (not the owner ) came outside with a weapon stick and called out to the owner to see if she needed help. This was a bit off putting since this is clearly a rental
Property visited by many people. Iâm sure the owner had no control over the other cabin, but this is why I took off one star. The owner did come out and was very nice and helped us inside. Just arrive befire darkk and you wonât have a problem. Hopefully the owner will let the older woman know that wasnât helpful. Luckily we are from
Vegas and not easily spooked.
