Moose Tracks Inn - Cozy Mountain Cabin only 40 minutes from Yellowstone Park

Moose Tracks Inn is a comfy, cozy cabin on a wooded lot in the mountains. This 1,200 sq. ft. cabin is perfect for relaxing or as a base to explore the area. Amenities include a large deck for additional outdoor space and a fire pit complete with log benches for roasting hot dogs and s'mores. Close to Yellowstone National Park (West entrance is 35 miles north), Island Park Reservoir, as well as ATV and hiking trails. Come and enjoy the tranquility a mountain cabin can offer!

Very clean and comfortable cabin! Loved our stay here. Everything you could ask for was supplied. Even saw three moose a few cabins down the road as we were leaving early one morning to Yellowstone. An unforgettable vacation.

The Moose Tracks Inn Cabin was the perfect vacation spot for our family! Larger than expected, very clean and spacious and well maintained. Easy access, comfortable beds, plenty of pillows - very pleased with this stay and plan to book again - great family cabin with thoughtful amenities. Best rental experience I've had!

Trip to Yellowstone

Before traveling to Idaho, I had a few questions for David, and he responded promptly. Upon our arrival to David's cabin, we found it clean and well appointed. During our stay, we had no complaints with the heat and water pressure. The location served our purposes. I would recommend David's cabin to future travelers.

Great Weekend

Thank you for letting us stay at your cabin. It was a quiet area in a great location to either stay and play in island park & Yellowstone. Our family had a blast! There was a mother moose and her 2 calves right outside the back deck one morning.

David accommodated us at the last minute. His cabin was perfect for the 3 of us. Located in a beautiful wooded neighborhood. Wildlife was active (deer and moose) on the property. Close drive to both National Parks.

We had a nice stay at the Moose Tracks Inn. David was very helpful and responded very quickly to all our queries. The cabin was clean and spacious and the locality was quiet. The only downside was that it was very hot during the nights, even though fans were provided. Overall, a very nice place to stay.

Great Place to Stay to See Yellowstone

Place was very spacious and had all the amenities we needed. Even was stocked with all the coffee we needed/wanted. Definitely would recommend this place for people wanting to see Yellowstone as it's only 40 minutes away from the west entrance.

Great place and location

Moose tracks was a great little cabin that had everything we needed. We went here for a week of fishing and the location served as a great basecamp for us with all the rivers we wanted to fish within 50 minutes of us. The living space was perfect for 5 of us.

Great property

Our family had a great time at the cabin. It was a great mountain location and close to Yellowstone. Our kids really enjoyed the fire pit and being able to make dinner and s’mores. We ran into a small problem and David dropped everything to come help and went above and beyond. We appreciated that so much to make sure we were OK. We would recommend this property and can hardly wait to stay here again!

Clean and comfortable

The cabin had everything we needed and was clean and comfortable. It had a few more close neighbors than we hoped for but the neighborhood was pretty quite. It was very easy to get to and is close to many nice places to visit.

Our family of 5 was looking for a place close to Yellowstone to enjoy a 6 day vacation. This cabin was perfect! The kids loved the loft, was in a nice quiet area, and it suited our needs perfectly! Could not have asked for a better experience for our first VRBO try. Thanks!

Wish we had had longer to enjoy it

The kids and I had a wonderful stay at the cozy and inviting wood/log cabin. It was well stocked with everything we could possibly need, including a flashlight on the shelf by the back door, a first-aid/emergency kit, games, books, a chest of extra blankets, laundry supplies (detergent pods and drier sheets), body wash in each shower, plenty of towels and places for them to dry, fans, a large cooking pot and serving bowl, treats to welcome us, and lots of bottled water (since there was a boil order for the area at the time). On top of that, the owner Dave was really easy to reach with a simple phone call when we had a question. Everything was well thought out and labeled (except for the electric fireplace which we couldn't figure out how to turn off completely) and clean and cute, without too much excess. We had been concerned about the stairs from other reviews, and they Were narrow but we did NOT find them slippery (our three-year-old could handle them) and there were handrails on both sides, just in case. We were there for only a couple days and spent our time traveling around Yellowstone National Park, but I really would have loved more time to just hang out at the cabin. All in all, I would DEFINITELY stay there again.
