Welcome to Keaton Cottages Balsam Retreat! With an incredible central location in Maggie Valley, and easy year round access, so you can enjoy this home any time of year.

Tucked in the trees in a wonderful neighborhood, this newly renovated cottage was designed with the comfort of our guests and their pets in mind. Balsam Retreat has everything you need for a fabulous mountain getaway!

When you first arrive at this special property, you’ll find parking for 2-3 vehicles, along with a single covered parking area and room for those towing a trailer.

Travel up the stone stairs to the gated deck, pull up a rocking chair and enjoy the quiet neighborhood and beautiful winter views. You also may see a deer or elk walk through the yard!

As you walk through the front door, you’ll be delighted to find a living room filled with character. Airy ceilings with exposed beams, two skylights, chestnut wood walls, and an extraordinary wood burning fire place will instantly make your feel a part of the mountains.

The newly renovated kitchen with navy cabinets, new stainless steel appliances and butcher block countertops is stocked with everything you need to make a fantastic home cooked meal.

The main floor also provided a cozy king suite with an attached full bath to relax and unwind from your days exploring the Great Smoky Mountains.

When you travel up the custom staircase, a cozy reading nook in the loft invites you to relax with a good book. Two more bedrooms also share this level with a king size bed in one room and two twins in another. Each of these bedrooms share a beautiful full Jack and Jill bath.

Outside our guests will find a delightful fire pit for relaxing and roasting marshmallows. We also welcome pets at Balsam Retreat and happily provide a fenced in dog area.
