We absolutely loved our stay here! It is literally steps from the lake - our kids and I had a ball renting stand-up paddleboards while my husband fished from the dock. The condo itself is clean, comfortable and so nicely decorated. Also the best-stocked condo in terms of supplies, toiletries, kitchen gadgets, etc., that we've probably ever stayed in. Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful holiday weekend stay in Avon. The beautiful lake views and proximity to the beach and adjacent playground were amazing. Walkability to restaurants and the town of Avon was also a plus staying at this property.
Josh and Olya were amazing hosts! They were super welcoming, easy to talk to, responsive, and considerate. The property is recently renovated / re done and and the view of the mountain & resort is top notch. We loved our time here and couldnât recommend it more highly.
This condo is in a great location to ski at both Beaver Creek and Vail. It was a 4 minute drive to a lot where we got a shuttle to Beaver Creek. The drive to Vail was about 15 minutes where we parked in a parking garage. The condo was very nicely renovated and clean. The hosts quickly responded to questions.
Beautiful and thoughtfully designed place, with great communication from the hosts!! I love the privacy of having my own entrance, quiet and friendly neighbors were a plus, and the views of the lake and mountain were amazing. We did a fancy dinner at Vin48, a low key bar night at Bob's, and breakfast/morning coffee at loaded Joe's - all were within walking distance. We'd love to visit again sometime!
We are a small family of 4 and enjoy all things outdoor. Josh used to be a professional snowboard coach traveling around the country and teaching private lessons at Beaver Creek. He also used to be a fly-fishing guide in the Vail Valley as well, but for the past 10 years he works as a sales and distribution manager for a company who manufactures floor coatings, disinfectants, sanitizers, and cleaners. Olya by education is an Electrical Engineer, in the Valley she worked for high end retail stores and was a world class barista at Loaded Joes (no joke!), best coffee we've ever had. Currently she is the 'Director of Management' of our household keeping the family running at peak efficiency.
In January 2008 after Olya graduated college she moved across the world to experience the the United States and what better place than in the world class Vail Valley! Josh also wrapped up college and military commitments moving to Vail to pursue professional snowboarding in the same month. We became fast friends and fell in love marrying in the first year. After 4 amazing years living in the valley it was time to pursue a "real" career, buy a house, and start a family so we moved to Denver and did just that. It has always been our dream to purchase a property back in Avon where there are so many friends, memories, and simply feels like home. We are honored and blessed to be able to share those experiences with others, there's no place in the world quite like it!
We are so excited to have picked this location because it appeals to both summer and winter visits. In the winter you can see Beaver Creek from the living room, a walk across the parking lot gets you a shuttle to the mountain, or 10 minute walk gets you to the lift. Conversely, you can walk out the back and ice skate on the lake or watch the local broomball tournaments.
The local saying is "come for the winter, stay for the summer" and this couldn't be more true. You can see the volleyball court, beach, and lake from the living room. There is a designated swimming area and a variety of different boat rentals available right out the back door. A frisbee golf course runs along the bike path which you could take several miles East or West up and down the Eagle River. Fly Fishing (or spin rods) can be done off the fishing pier right out back, the lake is stocked with trout every year. Or walk down to the Eagle River!
The town is a short walk and has a variety of shops, restaurants, bars, etc.
