This sweet little guesthouse is in a great location near the heart of "Mayberry" (Mt Airy). Within walking distance of historic downtown, the Andy Griffith Museum and Wally's Service station, this bungalow is tucked behind the main house for privacy and quiet. For many years, the property was owned by a local sign maker and this separate building was where he created his signs. Some of his creations are displayed on the exterior. The interior has been completely remodeled. The maximum capacity for this unit is 2.
The bungalow was perfect for our overnight stay. It is very close to Downtown and all the little shops. The only small inconvenience was the listing said there was a futon as the second place to sleep however it was actually a couch with 2 ottomans. It was fine for a night but could have been an issue if we planned to stay longer.
Darryl was wonderful and the bungalow was clean & close to historic downtown main street. Some of the greenery outside needs a trim and the outside of the place is just as pictured. So is the interior and it has the amenities to make you feel at home.
We were looking for a clean place for an overnight in walking distance from town. The bungalow was spot on. No contact check in. Very quiet and comfortable. Recommend.
We stayed here for a quick last minute weekend for the Truck Show we only stayed one night it was three adults and a great stay for us it was very quiet and felt like a safe neighborhood.the owner was super nice and respectful would definitely stay again.i honestly have no complaints
The bungalow we stayed in was cozy, well furnished and in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood that felt safe. The location was central to the downtown area and was within walking distance of many local attractions and restaurants.
The property was very clean and cozy. It was alot smaller then advertised, but we made the best of it and had a great time. The property manager was very nice and helpful. I would stay here again.
We chose the bungalow because it was within walking distance to everything we wanted to experience. Darryl was on-site to meet us and the one bedroom apartment was perfect for us. We parked our car and did not move it until we were ready to depart.
We stopped here for an overnight on the way to Topsail. The bungalow was clean and comfortable. Darrell checked us in and gave us good ideas about where to eat and what to do. Mt. Airy is a friendly and fun town. Would definitely recommend a visit.
Property was very clean and cozy. Darryl the owner was friendly and helpful. Location is perfect, driveway and parking a little close, but to be expected as this property is in town. We would definitely recommend to others.
