This cabin had everything you need. It was clean, spacious and the game room had enough to keep you entertained. The views were spectacular especially in the morning sitting on the deck or in the hot tub with your coffee. The host gets an A for communication and info on the area !
If I could give this cabin more than 5 stars we would! Such a beautiful cabin! The hosts were extremely helpful with every question we had and even provided various activities in the area that we could do during our stay! We will definitely be staying there again!

Great cabin in a super location! Excellent communication with helpful owners. Spectacular views. Loved the layout of the cabin. Deck space was wonderful. Cows, bunnies and deer in the neighborhood. Close to town. We would come back here!
Everything about the property was amazing. Corinne was extremely helpful in every aspect and provided great recommendations! The views were stunning and the cabin was very clean.
Baby Bearâs Cabin was great! It was very clean and comfortable! The hot tub was nice with beautiful views! The host was very hospitable. Would definitely come back!!
We loved the house, the town, the restaurants and more than anything the amazing views!! Corinne was so helpful and kind to top it all off!! Would highly recommend to anyone!!
We really enjoy Baby Bear's Cabin. We like how serene and quiet the area is. We like the hot tub after a long hike in the mountains and we enjoy a game of pool on cold/rainy days. Corrine is an excellent host.
The cabin was super easy to book, the host communicated with us several times to make sure everything was as expected and even gave us some links to local waterfalls and trails to explore. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
We loved our second stay at Baby Bear Cabin! The cabin was super clean and stocked just as described. The host was so kind, and kept us up to date on the status of the roads. It snowed four inches one night which was so fun for our boys! The house is just fantastic. The perfect, peaceful getaway spot!
We spent Mother's Day weekend at this lovely cabin located above Maggie Valley. The cabin was well appointed, decorated in a wonderful "bear motif" and exceeded our needs and expectations. The location was perfect for us provided us with a great opportunity to catch up with family.
The hot tub was clean and operated flawlessly. We also enjoyed meals cooked on the gas grill and star filled nights by the fire pit.
The homeowners were kind and quick to respond to any questions or needs. If we are ever in the area again we would not hesitate to return!
Baby Bear Cabin was the best!! Beautiful views, close enough to everything - but far enough up the mountain to feel secluded. The cabin was very clean - nicely furnished and very comfortable. Corrine was an excellent host - vary communicative about things to do in the area. Of course - the weather didn't cooperate - but we felt very safe staying during all the devastation that occurred in the area from Tropical Storm Helene and all the proceeding rains. Corrine was so kind and considerate in allowing us to stay until we could exit the area. Thankful that no real damage occurred to Baby Bear Cabin or to the immediate area surrounding the cabin.
We had a WONDERFUL and relaxing stay at Baby Bear. The cabin was cozy, clean and furnished with extra entertainment (i.e. board games in the closet, pool table, clean hot tub). The beds were very comfortable, clean and spacious. Waking up to the mountain view with my coffee was my favorite morning ritual. We took a slender 7 foot Christmas tree that fit great between the dinning table and side patio doors. Upon arrival, there was a dust of snow on the patio deck and on the mountain tops. The scenery was absolutely beautiful. I cannot thank the host enough for great communication, suggestions, and the wonderful hospitality during our stay. Looking forward to another visit! Thank you so much! -JP
The cabin and mountain views were beautiful but the kitchen was not very clean when we arrived. The pots, pans, and bakeware were dirty, sticky, and greasy and really need to be replaced. Several bowls were broken and cracked. The cleaning crew needs to do a better job between visitors. We had an incredible time and the cabin was very cozy and comfortable.
Baby Bear's Cabin was the perfect place for a quiet and peaceful getaway. The views are truly gorgeous and being at the top of the mountain you experience privacy and many of nature's delights. The owners, particularly Corinne, were great communicators and very helpful with suggestions to help make our stay even better. There was a well equipped kitchen, plenty of linens, a very nice game room, comfortable beds, and wonderful decor to put you into the mindset of a relaxing mountain vacation.
Its central location to other nearby towns make it ideal to do daytrips for hiking, rafting, or other active entertainment yet there are plenty of quaint shops right in town (and in neighboring Waynesville) to explore for a quieter type of day as well.
The outdoors feature a hot tub, firepit, and cornhole for a laidback ending to your day. You will not forget that beautiful view of the mountains!!
Thank you to the owners, the Yoders, for sharing Baby Bear Cabin with us and all who have been as blessed by their stay as have we!
As the dozens of reviews have said before, the cabin is very nice and the views are spectacular. But......I consider that I am a very experienced driver and, as a matter of fact, we had come up for the week-end in our sports car to drive the challenging roads in the area (The Tail of the Dragon and the Rattler). However, the entrance to the cabin's drive way requires a very sharp turn into a steep driveway with no margin for error. We have a low front spoiler that would scrape the steep drive or the car would get hung up on the chassis. Entering the driveway was a two person effort because you had to hug the edge of the road without dropping a wheel off the drop-off. A challenging exercise. Surprised that more of the previous comments did not mention this. Perhaps this is unique to our situation.
Otherwise, the cabin cannot be faulted and the view is truly spectacular. Breakfasts and dinners on the porch were wonderful.
It was a wonderful getaway from the every day hustle and bustle. Corinne was amazing at communicating and even sent some good ideas of places to visit/things to do. The pictures do not do the reality justice. Directions were very clear. The drive up was nerving the 1st time but once you get the hang of it, itâs not bad at all! We are already looking at booking Fall of 2026.
