Vintage1924 Craftsman in the heart of up and coming Stifftâs Station/ Capital View. Walk to several restaurants and bars in the Stifft's Station neighborhood including:
Very clean, mostly comfortable, convenient location.
Beds were small but comfortable, house was very nice older home. Very cute yard with back deck. The got a bit too warm during the day but it was tolerable.
I would stay here again.
Our family stayed in Little Rock for 2 nights on the way back home from our Christmas vacation. The location is perfect for finding anything around the city. Cozy home with the perfect amount of modern updates. If we ever go back to Litlle Rock, we already have the place we want to stay. Thank You!
Donât let the eyesore across the street bother you. This was a great little place for three seasoned friends to reconnect and explore the area. The kitchen was great for cooking some of our meals and a great hammock in the backyard for relaxing.
This house had everything we could want and more. I liked the back sun room. It was so bright and comfortable and a nice place to read a book. I would go back there again.
We enjoyed our stay. The home is clean, comfortable and well stocked (area guides, games, linens, etc.) The neighborhood is older but we felt safe. John and Shannon are very responsive to questions. Awesome hosts with reasonable rules and check out expectations.
This house was perfect for me and my boyfriend. The interior is decorated quite nicely and has a real cozy feeling to it. It is also located conveniently next to the interstate which allows for easy and relatively fast travel! This place had everything we needed and more and the hosts were very communicative and friendly!
Felt like I was at home. Well decorated. Loved all the house plants and the small touches that made the house comfortable. Summer time rental would be awesome with all the trees in the neighborhood.
Everything was exactly as it should have been. Very clean everything worked. Property manager contacted us to arrange a small maintenance job when he detected it and completed it while we were out.
Very well maintained. I will certainly stay there again!
John and Shannon's house was very homey, clean, had a great kitchen, and in a walking, quiet neighborhood (and close to The Oyster Bar). Yes, the house across the street is an eye-sore but you can ignore it.
The house was really cute and comfortable, the only thing I would say about the check out process, is about having to turn on the washing machine for the towels, maybe itâs better to just leave the towels in the machine and not have to turn it on instead. Other than that, it was a wonderful stay and John and Shannon are wonderful hosts! I hope to visit Little Rock, in the near future!
We had pleasant one-week stay at this home in the Capital View section of Little Rock. It is easy and quick (< 30 min) to get to most places given the homeâs central location and extensive highway system. The home was very clean and the owners were very easy to work with. The home is in a middle class neighborhood that seems to be undergoing gentrification. The house across the street is a bit of an eyesore but overall the neighborhood was quiet and seems safe.
I was actually disappointed in my stay in Sunny Stifft's Station/Capital View. I found the online photos to be misleading and the facility to be unkept. I am elderly with a bad knee, the porch needed a handrail to feel safe getting on and off the porch. I had to cling to a brick column to be able to access the property. The trash can next to the porch was over flowing with trash and flies were everywhere. It smelled horrible. The front door was dirty and the key pad to gain access was dirty. I cleaned both while staying there. The fireplace had a vacuum cleaner sitting upon on the hearth. I found some women's lingerie in one of the drawers in the room I was staying in. The microwave had a melted styrofoam container with molded food in it. The television had streaks across it from some cleaning product and I cleaned it before watching it. The pictures of the lawn online were lovely and lush but the grass was actually dry and yellowed. The houseplants inside were nothing like the online pictures and were mostly dead or dying. The back patio needed to be swept and the chairs needed to be cleaned. The gutter downspout had become disconnected. I picked this place because of the overall rating. I needed an uplifting place because my sister was in hospice nearby and I needed a cheerful place of refuge. This definitely was not that. The Welcome Email that was to be sent in the morning of arrival was not sent until late afternoon after I reminded them.
Great historic home. It was very clean and comfortable. The only problem was only 1 twin bed and we needed the two that were listed. Couch was comfortable however.
Very clean, well maintained ,and well decorated house. The neighborhood looked concerning, but the house was very cute and comfortable. Very good communication with owners. Would definitely stay there again if passing through Little Rock.
Beautiful decor. Nice big back yard. Love the antique architecture details! Clean, cozy and the owners were very communicative and helpful. Just a pleasure to be in during our stay.
We loved the house, decor and location. Although not used, the home provided plenty of toiletries and hygiene products for the guests to use. The location was perfect for our downtown convention. As noted in previous reviews, the house across the street looks like a junkyard. However, the occupants didnât bother us, but is an eye soar. Also please note that the two twin beds in the sunroom are not separated. Itâs actually a daybed that pulls out into a full size bed. So itâs like sharing a bed with someone. The neighborhood seemed safe and we would definitely stay there again.
My wife Shannon and I have lived in Little Rock for three years. We love our home in Stifft's Station and have worked hard to make it a relaxing reprieve from an up and coming area of Little Rock. We recently welcomed our son Nels to or family and as he gets bigger we realized that we needed more space. We reluctantly decided to move to a larger space but are excited that we get to share our wonderful, historic home to guests from near and far.
This Property was built in 1924 and is a great example of the "Craftsman" style of home common to Little Rock in the 1920's and 1930's.
The interior was opened up to allow more flow from the kitchen to the living area, however many original features were left intact.
The Back Bathroom was updated in 2021 with a new shower and toilet.
A fully fenced back yard is great for kids to run around and interact with the abundant nature that calls Central Arkansas home including numerous bird species including a nesting pair of Mississippi Kites in the neighborhood.
The Property is located close to I-630 making this location ideal for adventures throughout Central Arkansas.
