Le skieur enthousiaste Mark Gardiner et son épouse française Cathy s'occupent du Nordic Lodge à Peisey-Vallandry. Une experience unique familiale dans les Alpes.

A 250m, se trouve le téléphérique Vanoise Express, qui relie 425 km de domaine skiable en haute altitude aux Arcs et à La Plagnes - Paradiski. Nous sommes à 25 min de Bourg St Maurice et de sa gare, et à 2.5 heures de Genève et de son aéroport.


L'expérience qui compte: Mark et Cathy s'occupent de ski depuis plus de 20 ans et ne laissent rien au hasard pour vous assurer un séjour de détente et de ski plaisir. C'est pour cela que 65% de nos hôtes reviennent faire du ski avec nous. Pensez à réserver tôt pendant les vacances scolaires de Noel, Fevriers et Paques. Nous espérons vous recevoir bientôt.

Forfaits et services locaux: Il existe des forfaits pour les Arcs seulement ou pour Paradiski aux prix reduits. Le forfait pour les enfants de moins de 5 ans sont gratuit. Reductions sur la location de matériel et le 7ème jour gratuit. Tout peut être réservé au moment de votre réservation mais devra être payé avant votre arrivée dans la station afin de vous assurer le meilleur prix.

Beaucoup à voir et à faire: Les activités locales comprennent le ski, le snowboard, la piste de bobsleigh olympique, escalade sur glace, parapente, ski de fond, traîneaux à chiens, et randonnées en raquettes. Et pourquoi ne pas skier dans 7 différentes stations en 7 jours? Nous sommes situés idéalement pour que vous ayez vraiment de quoi raconter à vos amis en rentrant.

Merveilleux séjour

Ce fut un réel plaisir de séjourner en famille dans ce magnifique chalet. Commençons par nos hôtes: Cathy et Marc nous ont accueillis avec beaucoup de gentillesse, de discrétion et de professionnalisme. Leur connaissance de cette belle vallée est un réel atout. Le chalet maintenant: un emplacement idéal, à la fois au calme dans un village typique, proche de l'animation d'une grande station, et au départ de très belles randonnées dans le parc national de la Vanoise. Il est par ailleurs très bien équipé et dispose de toutes les commodités. Chaque chambre possède sa salle de bain et ses toilettes, ce qui est très pratique pour les grands groupes. Le sauna, le Jacuzzi et la vue sur le montagnes de la très grande terrasse en bois complètent ce beau tableau. Enfin, à notre arrivée, le chalet était d'une propreté irréprochable. Nous y retournerons avec grand plaisir.

Nous avons passé un superbe weekend en famille. Le chalet est parfaitement équipé et d'une propreté irréprochable. Le coin est magnifique, bref nous recommandons sans hésiter !

Très bon week-end dans ce gite

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans ce gite. Propre, tout équipé, spacieux. 6 chambres avec chacune leur salle de bain. Sauna et jacuzzi extérieur. Parfait pour se détendre après une randonnée. Accueil très sympathique.

What a fantastic holiday

This is the fourth time staying at Chalet Himalaya, yet this time we booked the whole chalet. Everything was fantastic, the chalet hosts were brilliant and the food was gorgeous. There is nothing nicer than coming back from a hard day's skiing to freshly made cakes and a spell in the jacuzzi. The four course evening meals were delicious. We also thoroughly tested the wines! Mark and Cathy, as always, made us all feel very welcome and as Mark had organised our lift passes, we were able to get out on the piste an hour after we'd arrived. Everyone in our party loved the chalet, the jacuzzi and the skiing. When we stayed here previously, we went as a couple and the mix of guests has always been brilliant. We've always had a great time, loads of fun and I would highly recommend a visit, you'll definitely get looked after.

A fabulous stay at Chalet Himalay

Thank you all at Chalet Himalaya for looking after us so well during our week with you! The food was lovely, the wine more than drinkable, the facilities top... and we couldn't have wished for better skiing conditions! Extra thanks to Mark as well for really going out of his way to assist with Ski school etc., really took a massive load of us in terms of organising our trip!

Just Superb

We thoroughly endorse everything Jackie and Hugh (review Sept 2009) have already said. From the phone call to book, to the moment we left everthing was taken care of. This was our first chalet experience and it will be difficult for anywhere else to come up to the same standard.Excellent accommodation, facilities,food, wine & hosting. Mark very kindly allowed me to accompany him on the slopes so that I could feel comfortable taking my "less confident" wife skiing. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Mark & Cathy, you really have a beautiful home and together with Gavin & Monika, know the meaning of excellent customer service & attention to detail. We didn't want to leave and would love to come back again.Would certainly recommend.

Geweldig chalet in een super wandel,skigebied

Met deze prachtig gelegen chalet met perfecte faciliteiten (Sauna,Jacuzzi,op iedere slaapkamer een badkamer met toilet,grote veranda) kan je vakantie niet meer mislukken. De beheerder komt met vele tips om in de omgeving te zien en te doen. je hebt door de centrale ligging tussen twee grote ski/wandelgebieden nauwelijks je auto nodig in dit pitoreske dorpje.Voor ons zeker een chalet en omgeving om nog eens terug te komen. Kortom top. Het is een groot chalet zeer geschikt voor meerdere gezinnen of een grote groep.

Himalaya January 2011

We had a fantastic week skiing in January staying at the Chalet Himalaya. The chalet has an excellent location with a small bucket lift on the doorstep giving immediate access to ski rental, ski school and 2 vast ski areas. The service was efficient and friendly in every way from start to finish - transfers, provision of lift passes, information given on arrival etc. The family room in which we stayed exceeded our expectations with regards to comfort, size, cupboard space etc. The food and wine were of a very good quality and plentiful, the afternoon cakes being the only way we could get our children off the slopes (the best chocolate brownies ever, Becks!). The chalet staff, Rich and Becks, could not have been more helpful or friendly. They were extremely knowledgable regarding the area and nothing was too much trouble for them. In all, this chalet has everything you need and more (hot tub, sauna, boot warmers) for a fantastic holiday in the Alps. Would thoroughly recommend.

Go Alpine Himalaya Chalet Les Arcs.

This was our fourth time skiing at Les Arcs and each time we have been accommodated at the excellent Go-Alpine Himalaya Chalet. It is run with military precision to the highest of standards by Mark and Cathy Gardiner, who are very friendly and always show a positive attitude towards their guests, with nothing ever being too much trouble. The Chalet itself set in the picturesque village of Peisey, only a five minute walk (including kids) to the nearest lift that takes you to the main ski area. The food and service is exceptional! With a hot or cold breakfast with juices, freshly baked cakes for afternoon tea and a four course meal in the evening that is all cooked to the highest of standards that you come to expect in a five star hotel! The accommodation itself is very clean and comfortable and all rooms have an en-suite shower room, along with plenty of storage space for clothes etc and with a hotub situated outside over looking La Plagne, you are exposed to maximum relaxation after a hard days skiing. We have thoroughly enjoyed our time over the last four years at this chalet and for as long as we ski at Les Arcs, we shall continue to choose Go-Alpine and the Himalaya chalet as our place to stay.

superb skiing holiday

Once again a fantastic week had by all. Lovely warm welcome, excellent food and wine and even babysitting down a black run - what more could you want! Good location, not too far to walk to get to the lifts. The property is clean and very well maintained. Excellent customer service. I would definately reccommend this property to a friend or relative. Thanks for another great holiday. Hope to be back again next year?

Everything a chalet holiday should be

Myself, wife and daughter (12 years old) had an excellent time staying in such a stunning location and hope to return again in the future, which we wouldnt normally do. Lovely comfortable chalet in a superb location central to an enormous choice of ski area, effortless hospitality, lovely food, impeccable organisation and nothing too much trouble. ...we cant wait to return!!! Notably the chalet rooms are better than the norm and spacious, the Hot Tub and SKY TV was a boon. Lovely views towards La Plagne and a convenient 'bucket' to the all main skiing areas. Its a quiet village and although we're told there is a local bar we never felt the need as the Chalet service took care of our needs so well. PS My daughter just told me she is missing it so much after only a day shes been looking longingly at the website and promotional video. By the way that’s praise indeed and automatically puts this on the ‘best holiday ever’ shortlist. For families and groups especially I wouldnt hesitate to recommend and the skiing area is immense

Ski Holiday 2010

looking out onto the mountains from the bedroom balcony was a great way to start the day. The location is perfect - quiet village , no traffic no noise and stunning scenery. The chalet was well mainted and very clean especially the kitchen area. The suana and hot tub were welcome after a days skiing. One area for improvement (in common with a lot of chalets) is the seating area, which could do with more seating.

We just can't stay away! 0 Himal

A great chalet in a great location. Perfect family facilities of the highest order. Nothing better than the Jacuzzi or sauna after a great days skiing. The afternoon cakes and evening meals are wonderful. Its a home from home on the slopes. the walk to the first bucket lift is no problem for adults or children. If you want a relaxing holiday with great home comforts ina friednly environment you've found the place. we have been back many times.

Best skiing holiday(s) I've had

I've skied at least 3 times every year for the last 10 years and have found myself reterning to one place pretty much every year. This is a lovely chalet, with excellent service and amazing food located in a very beautiful, peaceful village on the edge of one of the best ski areas in the world. The skiing is vast and varied but you could say that about a few places. What really marks this chalet and village out from many other places you could stay is the authentic, relaxing and peacful experience. If you're looking for nightlife and bars, this probably isn't the place. If you're looking for some great skiing and a relaxing experience in an authentic French village and want to stay in a amazing chalet and enjoy some delicous food, this place is for you!

Harty, Thanks for your review of Himalaya and I would agree that Peisey-Vallandry is not the best place for vibrant nightlife. If the skiing is your priority - it is a "Top 5" resort to enjoy hundreds kilometres of beautifully interconnected and immaculately groomed pistes to suit all ages and abilities. A wonderful chalet experience to remember!

What an amazing experience - from the minute we picked up the phone and booked with Mark! So friendly, relaxed and helpful - he had all the answers we needed whenever we needed them - Mark & Cathy were always just at the other end of the phone! Once we arrived, the whole experience just got better and better. Very sincere and homely welcome to a beautiful chalet, with the most stunning views (especially from the jacuzzi!) The location was perfect, quiet and picturesque, yet just a very short walk to the lifts, Locker system (with boot warmers) at first lift meant no having to cart skis etc to and from the chalet - phew! The chalet decor was cosy and welcoming, spotlessly clean with a warm and relaxed atmosphere. Catering and customer service was second to none whether you were with a group, a family or just on your own ! It felt like we were staying with friends! The menu was varied and beautifully cooked, and the wine just kept on coming! The pretty little village is just a short walk away with a selection of pubs, restaurants and shops. The skiing was brilliant with access to such a wide area and hundreds of amazing runs for all ability levels - something for everyone! Breathtaking views! We have recommended this holiday to all our friends and are returning in 2010 with some of them! Can't wait!!

Himalaya Feb 09

We had a fantastic time (again, after visiting in Feb 08), albeit with another accident! Accomodation fantastic. Food excellent. Wine terrific .... and flowed very well. Snow deep. Would recommend booking lockers to avoid carrying skis. I can thoroughly recommend the chalet to anybody looking for high quality accomodation, matched with great food and wine in a fantastic resort. Mark and Cathy could not do enough for us!

Why go anywhere else

The greatest compliment to Cathy and Mark and their wonderful home is that we are about to go back for our 9th holiday with them. Their home is full of ancient charm but modern facilities, the hot water has never run out, and its location in the old village of Peisey ensures tranquility but rapid access to all parts of the Paradiski area via the bucket lift a 5 minute walk away. The addition of the spa has added a great dimension for the early evenings after an energetic day. The town is a quiet one so party animals have to generate their own wild night, but families will be happy in its rural charm so close to a sophistocated ski area. The bars are welcoming, and nearby restaurants can be exceptionally good (the renowned Ancolie for instance) As hosts their attention to detail and warmth of hospitality, complemented by truly superb food means that our stays are always relaxed and really want for nothing. Would we recommend them to a friend or relative? Yes, but only if we have already made our booking for our next trip!

Can't wait to get back there again

I have stayed at Go-Alpine Chalet Himalaya many times now and I have been extremely satisfied in every respect, great food, luxury chalet and outstanding scenery with all necessary skiing facilities required . Great snow last year. Hospitality and attention to detail from Mark and Cathy Gardiner and their highly trained staff cannot be beaten. I was made to feel special by their thoughtfulness. Everything I expected and much more. Why go anywhere else.?

Cathy et Mark se sont rencontrés à Val d'Isère et nous avons tous les deux tombés amoureux des montagnes. On a aménagé à Peisey Vallandry en 1999. C’était vraiment un choix de qualité de vie.
