This has been our home for 27 years. We look forward to sharing our home with guests as we travel. We love Marquette and know that those that stay here will love it too. The Beauty of the 1908 Four Square Architecture is complemented with Modern Kitchen and bathrooms. The walk out finished basements sleeps several in open floor plan. The front porch, back deck and garden patio provide many separate places to enjoy the outdoors. The perfect in town location makes walking to restaurants, breweries, and shops the place to stay. This house is a half block from the Third street corridor and 5 blocks from Main Downtown. The home is 4 block walk to Lake Superior beaches The wonderful energy of the home brings groups together as they enjoy Marquette and each other in comfort. We also own and rent the Victorian house next door. Guests can request code to access shared fitness room in rental next door.
Undersold. Beautiful home, nice neighborhood. Wendy and David are great hosts. Marquette is a great city and the house is in a great spot. Everything was great. Thank you
Our family was visiting Marquette to enjoy some winter festivities, but the home was so comfortable and welcoming that we had a hard time talking ourselves into walking out the front door! Gorgeous and clean home, perfect location to walk everywhere, and seamless communication with host. Accommodating for larger groups who want vacations and/or staycations!Highly recommend
The ambiance and the interior design is first rate. The property is very comfortable and spacious. We loved our time at the property and only wish we had stayed longer. We will definitely book this property again!
A beautiful home that welcomes you with plenty of room for sleeping and entertainment! The location is equally as fantastic - in walking distance to Black Rocks Brewery and all of the 3rd Street businesses!
We needed a place for our family to gather in preparation for a destination wedding in Marquette and the setting was perfect, close to the venues and full of character, making the stay amazing. Thank you!!
The house is huge and perfect for large groups, or two families and friends like we had. So many places for people to hang out, both inside and outside, as well as a large dining table, a fire pit and all the amenities anyone could want. And it's within walking distance of Lake Superior, Blackrocks Brewing, Contrast Coffee and tons of other places to grab a bite or a drink. I can't recommend it enough!
We had a great time at this house and the owners are great! It's walkable/bikeable to many things. We walked to the NMU football game in the dome, rented bikes next door to bike to blackrocks to jump off the cliffs, walked to downtown for the restaurants and bars, went on a hike and more. There was more than enough room for everyone and the house came with everything we needed for our stay. We enjoyed grilling on the flatop as well as normal grill, watching football in the spacious living room, using the sauna and more. Plenty of space to park. The house was extremely clean and cozy. We really enjoyed our stay here and would stay here again in a second!

Beautiful historic property
The house had a fantastic location and beautiful aesthetics. We loved the multiple seating areas inside and the inviting outdoor spaces with a porch and firepit. Both kitchens were well-equipped and beautifully designed. There were a couple of minor issues to mention. The bathroom door on the main floor wouldn't lock, which caused some inconvenience. The AC was not adequate on a super hot day. We also encountered bugs in all of the bedrooms. The cleaning checklist seemed quite extensive! For instance, washing, drying, and putting dishes away took a significant amount of time, which felt like a chore during our short vacation. Perhaps streamlining the checkout instructions could improve the guest experience. Overall, this is a lovely property, and with a few adjustments, it could be even better.
Wendy was fantastic! The property is large, clean, high quality, well prepared and well thought out. Marshmallows for sâmores, snacks, great central location and Blackwater Brewery is a hopping spot! Thanks Wendy! Weâd like to come back next year!
I am a mother of three grown boys and a high school science teacher here in Marquette. My husband is the owner of a local brewery. We love to travel and experience areas as locals would so we decided to provide the same experience for travelers coming to Marquette. We will provide you with "live like a local" suggestions. We enjoy using our local trail network for running and biking. Lake Superior in the summer is our paradise with boating, paddle boarding and swimming in our crystal clear cold lake! We love dining and drinking at the locally owned venues throughout the city. We love our home in the heart of the town and have found that with two of our kids off to college 6 hours away at MSU we have extra space to share with visitors. So we remodeled our home and we love it and hope our guests do too. Our Airbnb experiences with renters in our home was so positive we bought the gorgeous Victorian house next door and now have 3 properties on AirBnB. We enjoy hosting and sharing our wonderful location with travelers.
