This rural Bayard, Nebraska cottage has a spectacular view of Chimney Rock from the deck or fire pit area at night. It has a spacious living room with couch to rest easy in. The kitchen is large and roomy with new appliances.
It is located close to Scotts Bluff National Monument, Lake Minatare, Chadron State Park, 90 Minutes from historical Ft. Laramie, 90 minutes from Ft. Robinson
No complaints on anything. Owner very easy to get a hold of. Stayed here for deer season and it made it nice to be able to come and go with ease. I would definitely stay here again
The title is an exaggeration as is the line in the description saying there is a spectacular view of Chimney Rock. There isnât much of a view of Chimney Rock, but we are also from a place where views are stunning and spectacular, and we werenât there for a view. This stay was clean minus some dust on the TV stand and the leftover bar of soap in the shower. Easy access. Very private. If we had stayed longer we would have tried the fire pit area. We also like the cats, one even tried to come in the house and did get into our car when we loaded up. We would have also have liked to have found and seen her kittens but alas time. FYI: this stay is significantly away from any amenities however we did not mind. We liked the dirt road drive.
Great location for seeing the sights in northwest Nebraska. Host is very responsive and friendly, right next door. Bathroom has been updated since the pictures, very nice.
The guest house was the perfect little get away, it was quiet, relaxing, and surrounded by beautiful scenery. Clay was very accommodating and I would definitely recommend the guest house, to others, as a place to stay.
Perfect location for what we were looking for. Cabin was as listed and clean. Check in and out was a breeze and communication with the owners was easy. Would stay again next time
I gave the house/camp 4 stars because it was not luxury living, but it what I expected/needed. It is a simple little house/camp with some upgrades. It is not luxurious by any standards and really out in the country on a dirt road (between Chimney Rock and Scott's Bluff). However, if you rent with that in mind, you won't be disappointed. The living room and kitchen are huge. It has a beautiful newly remodeled bathroom (that could use a towel rack), a new washer and dryer, and great outdoor seating on the deck or in the back by the new fire pit. Some of the screens and blinds need replacing, and the deck is a little worn, but the bed I slept in was comfortable, and the view and solitude are wonderful. As a solo female traveler, I was a bit nervous as the house is very isolated except for the other house on the property, which was empty when I arrived. I relaxed when the owner showed and very much enjoyed meeting his charming son the next day. It's not the Ritz, but you won't find anything better out there.
We loved staying at this place; it had everything we needed! The calm, quiet of country living but within minutes of town. Amazing views, clean and nicely equipped with necessities.
This home is in a nice, quiet location surrounded by farm land with a nice view of Chimney Rock. Clay was great at communicating and we really enjoyed our stay!
We stopped here on our way to MT and it was a great place to get some sleep and get out of the truck. They suggested Bobbi Joâs Branding Iron for supper and it didnât disappoint:) Thanks!!
Cute bunk house in the middle of nowhere. Loved the fire pit, house was very clean, great communication with Clay. We travel to the area often and will book again.
We loved our stay at this 2 bedroom home surrounded by cornfields. The living room was huge, as was the kitchen. The beds were comfy. We enjoyed sitting on the deck at night, watching the sunset. It was extremely quiet and peaceful.
