I enjoyed my stay. The home is comfortable and relaxing. The kitchen was well equipped. The. View is spectacular. Jan was a great host. I hope to return.
We spent one month at the Peace River Beach House and it was great! Location was perfect for us, we used the pool almost every day and the view was amazing. The owners were easily accessible for anything we might have needed but we never needed anything. Well stocked and very beautiful and comfortable home. Great getaway!
Jennifer was very helpful throughout the stay. Although it was somewhat rainy during our stay, having a beautiful view to wake up to made the rain seem to fade into the background. As a retired pastor, we loved the encouraging words! An incredible peaceful place. We didnât use the pool much with all the rain but enjoyed it when we could. We would highly recommend this place!
Beautiful location Easy access to bridges and highway.
Expansive windows overlooking the pool and the Peace River offers a very relaxing atmosphere. Spacious kitchen and generous outdoor seating plus very tasteful bedrooms & baths makes this very welcoming. Only negative was that owners have a mobile home on the property, stayed a couple of nights, they didnât bother us but it was wired that they were present. (I found this was disclosed on the listing way down page) We would definitely stay again,
We had a issue with the grill and it was replaced in 4 to 5 days! I get the owners are religious but not all people are Christian! I would assume a location should be agnostic! I wish the owner would have told us upfront they would be staying on the property in a camper for the last couple of days! Just seemed weird! Neighbors were very nice! Grandkids only stayed a week! It was nice that they opened their home so we could enjoy the month!
We traveled to Port Charlotte from Ohio to see grandparents for spring break. This home was just a few minutes away from their home, and close to everything we needed. The home has everything you'd need for a short termnor kong term stay. The only issue we had a was a small issue with the pool and algae when we arrived due to an excessive amount of rain in the area just before we arrived. The owners rectified the issue immediately, and gave us a partial refund for not being able to use the pool for two days. Over all we had a great stay, and would stay agian in the future.
Listing accuracy - had to give it 4 stars as the beach listed is not really a beach and only available during low tide. Not a huge deal.
An unpleasant odor greeted us at the door. The house woke us up in the mornings with gurgling sounds and a sewer smell coming out of each drain. The house has laminate flooring however there was a strong pet odor. The smell emitting from rugs and 1/2 bath were unbearable. The robotic vaccum needs its filter changed. There was no broom available. The vacuum filter had a strong pet odor that was so overwhelming you had to turn it off. There is a clock that plays a song every hour on the hour. There were other dinging and knocking sounds we couldn't find the source. The closets are so shallow that they look like there is a false wall. The beach is not easy to access if you're not physically fit. We were also not informed that anyone would be staying in the rv that is on the property. The cars and activity around the rv only showed up at night and were gone during the day. We have been renting vacation homes since 2009.This is the worst experience we've had. Make sure you document how you found and left this property. It still may not matter because when they've determined they're charging you for something they won't even view your proof of how it was when you walked out.
