Autumn Falls looks small from the outside but spacious and comfortable for the whole family (6 our four-legged family member). The place is clean and the hosts (Paul & Katie) are helpful. Thank you.We appreciate the holiday decorations. We got little bit of snow on New Yearâs Eve which was the icing on the cake!
Nice Property. Dangerous driveway, if not used to driving in the mountains (just hug the mountainside). Great water pressure. Very clean. Property had chopped wood for firepits (with plenty of chairs) and the fireplace inside. Plenty of bathrooms and space. 3 bedroom beds and multiple small ones in open areas. Washer was down during visit and was surprised by having to have to pay for the couple of bags of garbage we generated, since there were no outdoor cans or directions for where to dispose of waste. We would stay there again
We had such a great time and the cabin was such a warm and cozy retreat away from the hustle and bustle. I would highly recommend this to anyone who loves sitting out on the porch watching the sun rise listening to the creek flow nearby! Wow it was great!
The accommodations were great! The house was warm and inviting. It looks like the pictures and my family and friends enjoyed it. The only caution is the road to the cabin. Itâs very narrow, the turn is narrow. It definitely doesnât feel like a 2 way road and there arenât guard rails. I recommend arriving during the day to get the lay of the land. The property was beautiful and worked for what we needed! I even had to message our hosts while there and got a quick response.
This was the perfect house for our group! We had 4 adults and 5 kids, and this home provided just the right number of beds, bathrooms, and space to spread out. We loved the game room downstairs, the back porch with the hot tub and the most incredible view, and the firepit for s'mores. The kitchen was well-stocked with equipment and the basics, the laundry room was well used over the course of the week, and we enjoyed having reliable internet and television access. We'll definitely be returning the next time we are visiting the NC mountains!
The cabin was perfect, about 5-7 min from main road. Hot tub, pool table, patio were great. Did not use the firepit. Living room was spacious, comfortable and had a great view. Kitchen included a Keureg coffee maker.
Most of our lifeâs have been spent in the summers of Western Nc. The kids wanted to take a graduation trip with a few friends back up to the mountains because they love it there and also cause these particular friends have never gone to the mountains. It was perfect. We did white water rafting, tubing, and some shopping which all are very close by. Day trip to Asheville and the Pisgah Inn. We cooked a majority of the time, but there are several good restaurants. Cabin had all the necessities. Beds are very comfortable. You do not need a 4x4 to get to cabin. We would go back in a heartbeat. Everyone was very very easy to work with. We will be back! Thanks! .
Stayed for a girls week end in June. Agree the drive up to the cabin would require 4 wheel drive if there was any inclement weather. The view was worth the drive. The parking at the cabin is flat and plenty of room to turn around. We utilized the firepit and loved the hot tub. Clean and spacious. Would rent again and recommend to friends
This was the best cabin our family has stayed in. We travel a lot, and this house was very clean, well equipped, and had everything to offer for a family of 6. My son proaposed to his girlfriend and we celebrated mother's day. The view is amazing. You feel like you are in the clouds. We enjoyed horseback riding near by and did some shopping. Check in and check out was a breeze. The hist is extremely gracious. We will return!
Overall I loved this property. Everything was as described in the listing and it was a cozy escape that gave you the feeling of seclusion despite having a neighbor within 100meters. most notably, the property managers were very responsive to all of my inquires before the trip which was greatly appreciated. Well DONE!
the only downside, which had nothing to do with the property or management team, was that the access road transition to the gravel driveway was a significant challenge on a large motorcycle. I would probably not recommend this property to groups on touring motorcycles. I managed it several times each day but it was not fun and if you had more than one or two bikes, they would be very difficult to turn around in the gravel driveway.
We had such a wonderful stay. The location was majestic and the home was beyond beautiful! Would DEF recommend this location to anyone! 5 out of 5 stars!!
The place is very nice, it's quiet and far from any traffic. The kids loved the pool table and the Wifi, we enjoyed the swing and breakfast on the deck.
Overall, the house is well maintained. Finding it is a little bit difficult, but not unmanageable during the day. Close proximity to skiing and town.
This is the first property I have stayed at that requested you take the trash with you or leave $5 per bag of trash. They leave instructions for the nearest two dumps, but both are closed on Sunday which didn't leave much choice. I would prefer they just add another $10 or $20 to the daily rate and deal with trash bags as a part of the cleaning fee. This along with properties charging cleaning fees AND leaving a list of cleaning tasks is getting to be too much (not something unique to this property).
Beautiful home with gorgeous view out the A frame mountain facing windows, very clean, hot tub was great. We would stay here in again spring through fall but never in the winter.
We went January 20th. There was about 6" of snow. The owner was very polite to notify us in advance of this and how it can be difficult to get to the house. Yes there are notes in the listing about this, but I don't think they do it justice. We were advised there was a tight turn up an icy road to get to the house and someone a few days earlier slid down that road and hit the concrete post. That comment was enough for one of the couples to not come. Another couple had a F250 FX4. They could barely make the nearly hairpin turn to head up Conley Rd because their wheel base was so large. They then slid into the ditch, broke a side mirror, dented a door in two spots. I was in a Jeep Wrangler. We barely made it up the hill after trying multiple times, then the road to the house after that is pretty narrow one lane road next to a cliff. Needless to say it was quite scary. We ended up having to shuttle the family that was in the truck to the house, they parked at a church. We limited leaving the house to what we needed to do and canceled our dinner plans in town. It's hard for me to leave a bad review because the house overall was fantastic, and I realize the owners have no control over the weather. I just think guests need to know up front what they are getting into.
