Furniture very dated and dirty. Property needs to be deep cleaned. There was so much dust on the air purifier and around the doorway by the ac exchange. The sponge intended for dishes was already used and smelled like cleaner. The grounds were GREAT no complaints there.

Needs some serious TLC

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very dated furniture that is dirty. Needs deep cleaned. Property was dusty. Air purifier looked like it had not been wiped or filters changed in a very long time. The sponge to clean dishes was not new and smelled like cleaner and chemicals. Overall it felt dirty and dingy. I would not stay at this unit again.

Nice last minute stay

We booked a last minute trip is was in a nice area and room was clean and well put together with the essential however we couldn't get connected to the wifi but it wasn't a big deal for our two night stay. Overall enjoyed!

Short vacay

This was a great place to stay for our 2 nights with my friend and her 2 daughters. The bunk was perfect for the teenager. Sassy Bass was amazing, as usual. The last break before school started and the water was clear and beautiful!!! We love Ft. Morgan!

Enjoyed

Our stay was ok. Resort is nice a few things were shut down. One thing that was not noted was bedding for the pull out couch. We found 2 pillows without cases and a fitted sheet. Other than that it’s an affordable place with great beach access.

1st Time In Gulf Shores

Overall I satisfied with the condo. My aim was an ocean view, I couldn't see the water easily from the balcony although I could see white sand hills. The cost was reasonable so it balanced out small inconveniences. It had what we needed overall. It was quiet which I appreciated. Both board walks out to the beach were visible and very close. One observation was the lack of power outlets, maybe add some USB ports/hubs/splitters. The coffee maker was nice to have but with it plugged in, only one outlet was available for the main area. The alarm clock in the bedroom thankfully had a couple of ports, I will give you props for that. Four people needed to charge electronics, ear buds, portable chargers, phones, and I ran white noise machines to sleep that required USB's

Great stay!

We love The Plantation. This little condo looks like it was recently updated or remodeled to some degree. It was very tastefully done. Nothing fancy but it's nice.The condo was very clean. Have never stayed on the ground floor but it was nice and convenient. There is a good view but not as good as a higher floor would be.The bed was comfortable, sofa bed is definitely not but we never expect much from a mattress that folds in half. The little bunk in the hallway felt decent but is definitely for a child or small person. Everything in the condo worked great with the exception of the light for the outside balcony which didn't work at all, (not a necessity) & the lock on the sliding door ( a bar lock was provided that was also broken but we made it work). These are not complaints just observations. We loved the condo and loved the trip. Probably one of the cleanest we've stayed in. The coded entry and detailed check-in instructions were foolproof. Gated with security is a big plus for us and they were great. We had our check-in paper ready so it took only 2 minutes to get in the resort The boardwalks are great! Pools are beautiful! Beach is huge, private and beautiful. The only possible drawback is being so far out of town. If I could have added one thing it would have been a rug by the bed like the nice one in the bathroom. Overall we were very happy with the condo and would definitely stay again.

Good location but stinky condo

The pros: location was great, condo was right on the beach and this first floor unit overlooks the water. The layout was fine - a little tight for our family of five, but manageable for just the weekend. The beach was great - the water had lots of seaweed, but it’s really just the time of year. But it wasn’t crowded and we really enjoyed it. There was a great restaurant in the condo right next door (walking distance) and we drove down to Tacky Jacks for dinner one night (there’s a location in Fort Morgan about 5 miles away). Jackie, the manager, was also very responsive with her messages and calls, which I really appreciated. Cons: the condo was so incredibly stinky -like in an overwhelming way. It was like rotten food/mildew/something dead and it did not go away the entire weekend…. We tried to air it out and sprayed as much room spray as we could manage, but it was truly awful. Jackie responded right away when I sent her a message and said they had just sprayed for bugs so maybe that was the problem – but it did not smell like pesticide. We were SO glad that we were only there for a weekend and not longer - thankfully the weather was perfect so we were able to stay outside at the beach all day on Saturday. Jackie did refund part of our cleaning deposit which I truly appreciated (& she was extremely apologetic). But it was a really tough trip. (Also, I was glad I read the reviews beforehand about the lack of outlets so I brought a couple of power strips with us.)

Be sure to check a map!

Shame on me for not checking a map before reserving! The address is Gulf Shores, but this property is actually almost to Fort Morgan, meaning a 30-minute drive to the nearest grocery store and most restaurants. Luckily, I’d packed all we needed for our short stay. The beach is gorgeous, and the pools are great. This unit is quite tiny, and the photos are a bit misleading. There’s enough room to walk around the queen bed, but just barely. There is one room that is living, eating & kitchen (no dishwasher, single sink, 3’ of prep area). We were comfortable, but it’s a shame that the furnishings were cheap to begin with and now are very worn.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo itself was a little small for a family of 4, but we made it work. The accessibility to the beach was great. It wasn’t as crowd as being the in the heart of Gulf Shores Beach. A downfall is the laundry situation. It is expensive to use the machines, the laundry app for the phone didn’t work, the machines didn’t work part of the stay and you need a lot of quarters to use them.
